You wish.
If it was that easy, atheist lawyers would've had it removed already.
The Constitution doesn't have anything to do with God on our money, it just protects Americans from the government imposing a national religion & forcing people to follow that religion.
Our founding fathers knew that kind of government fails. they wanted to practice whatever religion they chose (Christianity).
And why would it have to be ATHEIST lawyers??

Just because YOU don't respect the beliefs of others doesn't mean that NO ONE who is of one religion or another doesn't.

I think Aero DID read it and was being sarcastic in asking you that question.

Of course, the answer is that it IS a religious site and that comes as no surprise since you obviously don't know the meaning of the word "unbiased".

Because atheists have a huge problem and fear with the word "GOD".

Religious people like it that our country likes God & loves what He represents.

Religious people wouldn't waste any time trying to get our nations motto removed or altered.

Someone posted an excellent question to RR yesterday- why doesn't our money say "in JESUS we trust"?
IF it did, THAT would be a clear government endorsement of Christianity over all other religious beliefs, but since it doesn't, and since ALL religions ultimately refer to the supreme being as "god", it does NOT favor one religion over another.
Actually it was "In Christ we trust".

And I responded & shut it down.

Here- try these on for size.

"Divorce rates among Christian groups:

The slogan: "The family that prays together, stays together" is well known.

There has been much anecdotal evidence that has led to "unsubstantiated claims that the divorce rate for Christians who attended church regularly, pray together or who meet other conditions is only 1 or 2 percent". 8 Emphasis ours].

Dr. Tom Ellis, chairman of the Southern Baptist Convention's Council on the Family said that for "...born-again Christian couples who marry...in the church after having received premarital counseling...and attend church regularly and pray daily together..." experience only 1 divorce out of nearly 39,000 marriages -- or 0.00256 percent. 9

A recent study by the Barna Research Group throws extreme doubt on these estimates. Barna released the results of their poll about divorce on 1999-DEC-21. 1 They had interviewed 3,854 adults from the 48 contiguous states. The margin of error is 2 percentage points. The survey found:
bullet

11% of the adult population is currently divorced.

25% of adults have had at least one divorce during their lifetime.

*****Divorce rates among conservative Christians were significantly higher than for other faith groups, and much higher than Atheists and Agnostics experience."******

http://www.religioustolerance.org/chr_dira.ht...

"After months of revived debate over divorce and its increasing acceptance among Americans, a new study affirmed born again Christians are just as likely as the average American couple to divorce."

I was baptized.

Against my will, of course.

But I still love some good old fashioned sinfulness every now and then.

WhatEVER. And no- you did NOT "shut it down"; you instead portrayed those who wanted "igwt" on currency as being as smarmy and as duplicitous as you yourself are.

Try reaching for the stars once in your sorry life, RR rather than assume that everyone is at the low bottom-feeder level that YOU are.

LIAR. LIAR. LIAR.

You are a LIAR because you think you are a spokesperson or in any way representative of the HUGE groups of people you mention above.

You're not.

I don't think the issue is whether there is or isn't a God, it's that other people try so hard to push their beliefs onto others. Why is it so important for everyone to believe the same thing? Why can't everyone have their own spirituality and belief of a higher power. Why does there have to be one way or no way?
I think it's kind of "The Hundredth Monkey" hypothesis.

Each religion thinks that if everybody would just believe in the god THEY "know" to be true, then the world would somehow instantly become perfect.

It's every body who believes differently than everybody else who is to blame for all the ills of the world.

But with each one being thoroughly that THEIR way is the one and only way, that will never happen.

Meanwhile, the world wastes its precious time arguing over which religion is the one true religion instead of dealing with the world's problems in some meaningful way.

Nothing will ever be accomplished by arguing over which god is going to fix the world.

None of them are.

WE have to do it.

And we have to do it together, or it just won't get done.

Maybe our God is bored of our fleshly debacles of greed, lust and murdering our own kin. Could it be that his expectations were too high regarding primates? Or maybe he's on a millennia long bender and left us on the back burner?
Maybe god is impotent.
