Silly atheist. Ignore & ignorant are different words....
Ignore means to refuse to take notice of or acknowledg or disregard intentionally.
Ignorant means lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular.
Saying God will ignore you doesn't mean God is ignorant of you...
*You* and *your* definitions!

Fine... lemme have a go at it.

Ignoration:
The state of being ignorant; The action of ignoring something, or the state of being ignored.
http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/ignoration

Your deity is in a state of ignoration; of being ignorant. It's performing the action of ignoring something >>> non-believers.

Is your deity in the state of being ignored... by me? You could say that... but, then again, I'm the one asking questions about it.
Through faith. That is the cornerstone of religion. It's not about "making" yourself a believer, that seems impossible and it seems like it's forced.
Yeah! Don't you remember?... A while back, I spent a couple of weeks explaining that very concept to YOU.
Try again. Try an anology of something that doesn't involve childish stories (if you can, atheist).
Okay...

Make yourself believe Vishnu exists. Make yourself have faith in Vishnu.

Hundreds of millions of adults do.
No. I've never stated that they do or don't exist. Do you have a point?
HA! That's cute!

RR... really now... don't try to dance *that* dance with *me*.

I never said you said leprechauns do or don't exist.

I asked a question >>> “Do you have to actively convince yourself that leprechauns don't exist?”

You said,“No.”

My point? >>> I stipulated that I was just curious.

Thanks for answering >>> That's exactly how I feel about your deity.
Well first you can't start with a false assumption, like God is ignorant.
You're the one that said your deity would ignore a non-believer.

I'm a non-believer.

How can a non-believer not be ignored by your deity?

How does one just turn on “faith”?

Proof : noun 1. evidence to establish a fact or the truth of a statement:

Delusion: noun 1. a belief or impression that is firmly maintained despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality.

Weird how it always ends up that way with you huh?

I can prove to you through x-ray imaging that the nerve damage is there, but I CANNOT prove to you that I have no feeling on the right half of my right thumb although it is a FACT that I have no feeling on the right half of my right thumb.
I went to Dome Burger today, it's my favorite local burger joint. I bought a bacon cheeseburger and curly fries, I love curly fries. I can state these are facts because I have a bank record to demonstrate it if called on. I won't, however, hold fast to these as facts because I don't want to present that evidence. So if questioned I would simply state "that's what I remember doing" and leave it at that. If they dismissed what I stated as day dream or even hallucination, I would not argue them because I am not presenting evidence to counter their dismissal.
God touched me on the head. God also spoke to me. I don't care if you believe me or not, I also don't care if you dismiss what I have to say. I CANNOT prove to you that he did, no more that I can prove to you that I don't have feeling on the right half of my right thumb. Feelings are feelings and cannot be proven, what else do you want?
It works the same for your god claims.
I felt God touch my head, "that's what I remember happening".

Does lying come natural to atheists? I mean seriously, you guys lie so much, it's out of this world.

I have never said that heaven is up, I have never said that hell is down, I have never called hell "the lake of fire".

So why are you lying and saying that I said those things?

That's a very simple question, let's see if you can answer it.

No lies, dude.

I'm just going by the consensus of Christians. I participate in the Why Should Jesus Love Me thread, populated by experienced religionists of the Christian persuasion.

The experts call hell the lake of fire every time they threaten us poor atheists. I'm telling you. If you don't believe me, go over there (it's fun too).

And they talk about going up to heaven. Up is up, wouldn't you say? And if heaven is up, it logically follows that hell HAS to be in the opposite direction. I'm just using common sense, RR, what's wrong with common sense?

I'm not going around calling you a liar for saying god touched you in the head, am I? Crazy, I'll call you for that. But not liar.

So how about a retraction?(See Cal. Civ. Code, sec. 48a, Paras. 1, 2.)

You don't get it. To a doctor that x-ray IS PROOF of no feeling in your thumb. You have NO such "x-ray" to prove anything religious. That's the whole point. If - no - proof - exist - then it is merely in your head.

Of course, you misunderstand.

When I say God will ignore your prayers because you ignore Him, that was not intended as a state of being, but an action.

Ignorant: lacking knowledge or information as to a particular subject or fact
Ignore: to refrain from noticing or recognizing

Different words, different meanings....

Okay...

Hundreds of millions of adults do.
Again (ugh!), one cannot be forced into faith.

One can fake it, but false faith isn't real faith.

Again with the leprechauns?
You're the one that said your deity would ignore a non-believer.
Yes, you ignore Him.
I'm a non-believer.

You don't say....
How can a non-believer not be ignored by your deity?[QUOTE]

They can't not be ignored. Non-believers will be ignored. God loves you just as He loves everyone. He doesn't want Satan getting his meat hooks in you. Jesus said:“I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but I do ask you to keep them safe from the Evil One”.

[QUOTE] How does one just turn on “faith”?
Again (ugh!), you can't simply "turn on" faith. If you weren't so spiritually immature, you'd know that.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Never rely on what you think you know”.
