I know that it's blue, though.
How do you know that?

Observation?

Or is it just an assumption?

You never answered the question >>> How does one make themselves into a believer?

Make yourself into a believer that Leprechauns exist. Explain to me how you would go about doing that. If you manage to do that, would it change the fact of whether Leprechauns exist?
Do you have to run around actively forcing yourself to believe Leprechauns don't exist?(Just curious)
How is a non-believer supposed to contend with the ignorance of a god?
Seriously... How does one just turn on belief?
hi there - if you live in the western hemisphere, you're using a calendar which is currently in the year 2013. 2013 represents the 'Year of Our Lord', i.e., the first advent of the Son of God- the Lord Jesus Christ who came to earth approx 2013 years to date!

as for Leprechauns, we have no authorized, first-hand biographies of them like we do have of The Christ.

if you disagree with history, it's actually you who is wrong rather than history.

bye bye now, lil snot-nosed brat:)

It seems I need to go learn all these fallacies before I argue with you then. And yes, after reading what you said, I realized that I was not being fair, u have my apologies on that.
Oh now, come on... no apology necessary. You're doing outstandingly well by comparison to some of our fundy Christians.

If we discuss this till the cows come home, and it does nothing but strengthen your faith, then I'm happy for you. I mean that.
Would you have accuracy in history books? If so then why not our book, for it hold history as well.?
“Red Herring” fallacy.

We were discussing the existence of a deity and what a particular book has to say about it. The accuracy or inaccuracy of other books isn't the issue.

For the sake of the argument, I'll give it to you >>> What's in history books could be all but completely false. Some of it in some of them almost certainly is, as one history book conflicts with another. Somewhere there has to be false information.

So... where does your argument/question go from there?

Also...

History books, even when containing false information, tend not to contain something that'll automatically raise questions about the veracity of said information. The writer wants the reader to accept it and doesn't want to give them a reason to deny it.

Example >>> George Washington and the cherry tree.

Whether true or false, there's nothing about the story in itself, nothing miraculous or incredible, that would make the reader regard it as erroneous.

I think that falls into the category of “False Analogy” fallacy... since most holy books do contain that sort of information.

Know what I mean?

Substitute my use of the word with “opinion” or “impression”.

Silly atheist. Ignore & ignorant are different words....

Ignore means to refuse to take notice of or acknowledg or disregard intentionally.

Ignorant means lacking knowledge, information, or awareness about something in particular.

Saying God will ignore you doesn't mean God is ignorant of you...
You never answered the question >>> How does one make themselves into a believer?
Through faith. That is the cornerstone of religion. It's not about "making" yourself a believer, that seems impossible and it seems like it's forced.
I know you hate it when someone makes comparisons about/to your belief. That's tough...'cuz here's another...

Try again. Try an anology of something that doesn't involve childish stories (if you can, atheist).
Do you have to run around actively forcing yourself to believe Leprechauns don't exist?(Just curious)
No. I've never stated that they do or don't exist. Do you have a point?
How is a non-believer supposed to contend with the ignorance of a god?
Seriously... How does one just turn on belief?
Well first you can't start with a false assumption, like God is ignorant.
