My vehicles pass CA smog tests, which are brutal.
I reuse my lawn clippings as mulch.
I do my part.
I have reason to blame other people.
Do you?
You're a flamingfuckin liberal environmentalist. You have an 8x10 glossy of Al Gore in your underware drawer, don't you?

No, it's fine. I got a little heated.

Nice. Then as a 20 year electrician, how can you say that learning it is easy? You know that it's more than pulling wires through walls and installing cover plates....

The people, the greedy business f_cks that employ them.

I've never agreed with it. I've always seen affirmative action as just another political stunt.
Not a 20 year electrician... but, an electrician 20 years ago. My background (now) is electronics/electronic theory.

Not knocking the trade or those in it, but... being an electrician is pretty easy. Learning was a breeze. Sorry if that sounds conceited... it's true.

I'm done (hope I am) with the "other" argument (illegals/immigrants).

Reel mower? Lol, that's great. I haven't seen one in years.
My lawns to big for that. I need a power mower, eventually I'll hafta get a riding mower, but I ain't that old yet.
Just a suggestion >>> Get rid of the lawn (a portion of it).

You might be surprised at just how easy it is to push some of the newer reel mowers (unless you're a sissy). <giggles>

Was he also born in America or was he born in china?

And you're also Korean?

I think you have national identity issues.

As an electrician, what did you do, other then run cable under slabs?

That's just a fancy way for one to say they have an intimate understanding of electricity and are trained and proficient with circuit/component level analysis, troubleshooting, and repair. I used to be a bench tech >>> a dying breed. No one fixes anything like that anymore. They throw "it" away and get a new one.

I can teach it up to a certain level >>> vocational/tech school... so long as the students don't need class credit toward a degree (get away with that sometimes as a substitute).
As an electrician, what did you do, other then run cable under slabs?
Let's back up a bit. Maybe I lead you to assume I was a licensed lead electrician... I wasn't. It was just a job I had between the Navy and my first career-oriented position (while attending civilian school).

The guys I worked for didn't do any residential/service work. They only worked major construction sites >>> office parks, schools, hospitals, etc. They let me do everything they did except for, and maybe this is what you're wondering about, bid on jobs. If you're wondering about codes and standards and such... yeah, I knew what I needed to.

To directly answer your question >>> Let's see... I bent and hung the sh!t outta some conduit!

IMO... it's the EE that has the "fun" job... the electricians just followed his directions.

On the other hand... I know a few EEs, one of which occasionally post to this thread, that tell me that if they had it to do all over again... they'd be an electrician.

Wasn't trying to make it sound like a complete dunce could do the job... but it isn't “rocket science” either.

I get along with pretty much everyone & can imitate accents very well, even to a middle eastern. They always crack up.
