" it is necessary to focus much more on our similarities as a species than to focus on our differences as a species."<quoted text>Honey, what you understand about me wouldn't even begin to cover the head of the world's smallest pin.
Sorry, but in order to be a complete and whole human being with respect for oneself and for others, it is necessary to focus much more on our similarities as a species than to focus on our differences as a species.
ONE PLANET, ONE PEOPLE.
And seriously, Pat- I do not desire to continue posting with you- or really anyone else for that matter- on this topic.
It's enough to know that racism is alive and well, sad as that fact is and even sadder is knowing there are people like you who EMBRACE that racism.
Why, just because you say so? Since people like you like to blame white people for black pathological behaviors using this absurd legacy of slavery nonsense, it is YOU that makes the discussion so relevant. Stop with this baseless blaming of whites for black failure and then whites can stop defending themself against these assinine charges.
All of the racial bitterness and misunderstanding can be laid at the feet of liberal do-gooders like OCB, that along with equality also desire a world unequivocally fair so they deny the facts about race. Nature unfortunately is not so designed and neither is the genetic makeup of groups. So the racial tension that persists in America, long after the majority of whites accepted the equality of opportunity as espoused by Martin Luther King, persists because we have been telling blacks that they would end up "just like us" once racism was over. Equality requires that groups be equal. The proof however comes down on the side of genetic dissimilarities as the cause of disparate outcomes. Equal opportunity in no way guarantees equal outcomes, be it in society or on the basketball court. This is why the liberals cling to their racist affirmative action laws. They want the appearance of equality at all costs, no matter if it injures one group with racial discrimination and unfair disatvantage.
