So you are worshipping a false idol and a piece of cloth at that, how very christian.

And of course going from your post you only want justice for people who think like you who believe in your god and your politcis. So the pledge is rather irrelevant to a large number of Americans don’t you think? It really brings out the hypocrite in some people.

Yes so bitc|-|. Sanctioned military killings are not considered MURDER.
Definition mur der
Noun
The unlawful premeditated killing of one human being by another.
Verb
Kill (someone) unlawfully and with premeditation.
Are you saying that military action is unlawful? Or are you just stupid?

Sometimes it is.
Do you think that drone strikes killing children in Pakistan is anything other than murder? Pakistan has voted against drone strikes in their country.

Are you saying that if America decides to conduct drone strikes in your neighborhood it is lawful?

Oh, he had an enormous aquarium on the ship too? Wow, that must have been quite a ship, considering it had to accommodate every species of whale, as just one example.
Help me out here, what were the dimensions of the ark, as specified in the Bible again?
70 percent of the earth is water. Some of the water is in the clouds. Some in the springs. The physics were changed because of the flood. Yes, an aquarium. If not, then there would be salt in the water for the fish. Animals were far smaller during that time, every generation is bigger than the previous.

I admire it for what it stands for - peace, freedom, the land of the free & home of the brave.

You'd understand if your lane English wimp flag had any meaning to it.

No. The Pledge is important to ALL Americans. Some don't say the "under god" part & that's fine.

Did you reckognize the way RR sucks up to your little God for love because you remember being bashed around and the shit torn out of you in the church so you looked to God for love and comfort but didn't know him, and so therefore seek it in the religion of pacifism? So you saw it in yourself? Self loathing?

Probably because you're in your car pretty much every day, sometimes for hours or days at a time and you have to learn his to mingle with all the other drivers.

Guns aren't used everyday, sometimes we'll go months without even dusting it off. Some guns are bought & never used...

Why tell us over and over and over guns are designed to kill? We all know that and they can indeed be used for killing when there is a legal basis to kill, ask any police officer.
I know of no state that allows one to carry a concealed weapon without a license. Is there any? If so then I agree, one should have a license to do that. Here is CT you need a license.
Good of at least one of you to admit it, eventually, however in our first minor skirmishes you were not so eager to admit it. However not all know that, RR for example denies that a gun is designed to kill and seem to think they are for showing “prospective” intruders, being macho and flower arranging

Is sending a copy of the receipt with a name and address on it to the local police department is classed as licensing? Wow, the mind boggles, no wonder there are so many nuts like RR with access to guns

Is it that easy to obtain a car licence in the US, simply buy the car and voila you are licensed?

Please since you don't even understand the meaning of atheism, don't try and explain what it means.
Fair enough.

But you should define it for me so that I dont make misinformed assumptions.

I wont be surprised if there are atheists who have conflicting ideas of what atheism actually is.
Karma is a_______ wrote:
Sorry, but I don't need a mythological being to give my life meaning. What I do with my life, the impact I have on my family, friends and society give my life meaning.
All you have done is make yourself into a mythology to compensate for the one you reject.

The person that has a meaningful existence in a world where things emerged out of nothing and will dissolve into nothingness, is a myth.

Sure you can live the life you like; just dont call it meaningful... because you would be deceiving yourself... and pissing me off in the process.
Karma is a_______ wrote:
I believe in the here and now, not what might happen after I die. That my friend makes my life more meaningful than yours.
You are free to have your opinions; BUT SCIENCE GIVES EVIDENCE TO SUPPORT THE IDEA THAT YOUR EXISTENCE IS MEANINGLESSNESS, BY POINTING OUT THAT ALL THINGS WILL PASS AWAY AS IF THEY NEVER WERE.
Karma is a_______ wrote:
You measure your importance after you die, mine while here on Earth

I measure my importance after I die.

But that does not suggest that I dont measure my importance while I'm alive here and now.

[QUOTE who="Karma is a_______"]
Most atheists work to improve life and society on e
Earth. We can hope for a better tomorrow and work towards that end.
Which is eventually futile as science reveals, because all your achievements will melt away into nothingness.

So you end up working very hard to acheive nothing. It would have been better if you were never born. Tragic.
Karma is a_______ wrote:
Maybe in your world, improving life here on Earth is meaningless, since you look forward to a life beyond. But we atheists don't , so we actually work on improving life here and now.
Most atheists want to improve the environment, while religious fundamentalist look upon everything on Earth as to be used up and then your skydaddy will come down and renew the Earth after the rapture.
I know what Biblical scripture says; you dont.

If you did, you would not be talking so much trash.
Karma is a_______ wrote:
since you believe in an afterlife, then it is you who actually look at man's efforts and achievements here on Earth as meaningless and futile, since it doesn't really matter. Only the afterlife matters and you structure your whole life to that end.
That conclusion is misguided.

My beleif in an afterlife does not suggest that I dont value efforts here on earth.

You are assuming things for which you have no evidence; then you will act as if you are better than the average "godbot"
