.. Patricia insists 'Sue' is a 'legit' spelling for Sioux ..

.. as a bona fide 'Sue,' she's allowed to glue feathers to her wigwam. Hasn't molted for 35+ years ..

You are disengenous about the word faith. Faith has more than one meaning and the meaning that applies to relgious faith is a belief that is NOT based on proof.
Is there a rule or law that says "NO INDIVIDUAL SHALL BASE HIS/HER RELIGIOUS FAITH ON TANGIBLE PROOF"?

I dont know where you get the idea that all religious faith is of that nature; you are making hasty generalizations.

My religious faith is based on my real world experiences.
Pat wrote:
"Circular reasoning is described as a type of arguing where the person starts out with what they are trying to prove."
Which is exactly what you did when you attempted to offer me a single fact to show how your god and an imaginary god differ. You simply offered and unsupported claim that god created everything.
That was neither circular reasoning nor an unsupported claim; it was an expression of the differences I see between my God and an imaginary god(s).

If you wanted evidence for my claim that God created everything, you should ask for it.

If you want TANGIBLE PROOF that my God is different from imaginary gods, you should ask for it. You did not specify whether you wanted proof or an expression of my perception.

... You are no brave person, you are a dishonest death denier denying the reality of a corpse going through life using the crutch of feel good mythology as a means to cope... The one clinging to absurd speculations is you faith filled theists who think you are half ghost! We know for a fact that when the brain is damaged or dies that it's function is lost. We have stroke victims who have had brain damage not be able to recognize a spouse of 50 years and we know this memory is gone, destroyed when the brain was damaged. We KNOW what happens when we die. We KNOW memory and awareness cease upon death. You just deny these facts and cling to a belief you are half mammal half ghost which is utterly absurd. Tell me, if a corpse is not enough proof for you that death ends personal memory and awareness then what would be enough proof for you you foolish death denier?
I am not a death denier; I am a death defier :P

You have "stroke victims who have had brain damage not be able to recognize a spouse of 50 years and we know this memory is gone, destroyed when the brain was damaged..?"

Well I have Dr. Eben Alexande.

"Eben Alexander said he saw heaven during a seven-day coma brought on by bacterial meningitis and E. coli bacteria eating his brain. The experience happened, he said, as his brain had supposedly gone completely inactive. During the experience, he traveled on the wing of a butterfly with a biological sister he had never met, the adopted doctor said."

It's a long story but I'll summarize.
God placed His hand on my head, like you would palming a basketball. He said to me: "He's here."
His voice eerily sounded like my own. I can't explain it.
It was more than just a touch, though. It's like I felt the live of God pass through my body & soul.
You attribute this to "God" without a direct link, is that correct?

Even if God exists, it could have been something else, so assigning credit to God, when there is no direct link, would still be jumping to an unsupported conclusion.

Anything, even a shiver, can be attributed to whatever non-mundane thing a person believes in. Literally, people get a cold chill in a dilapidated old house and think it's the dead groundskeeper haunting the place.

I still maintain that the best justification for faith and religion are the demonstrable benefits. I wouldn't personally rely on feelings or experiences I couldn't explain, even if I was able to maintain a belief in something I couldn't demonstrate. Religion itself is real. Faith is real. They have real effects, some good. But it is almost impossible to get that good without getting a lot more bad.

Speculate is right. You have no knowledge that a corpse does not represent what it represents. You have no knowledge that you are anything but a mammal. You have no knowledge of any gods. You have an empty cup of false hope that you cling to because you refuse to cope with your mortality honestly. You are a dishonest coward who is afraid to think and has surrendered your mind over to dogma.
All of that is mere speculation :P

Yes they exist, but do they exist in a form that is readily perceived by the human senses?

Have you ever seen a radio wave except when it is REPRESENTED on a through some technologically assisted means? No.

Those things exist though you have no natural sense experiences of them.

What you are able to detect with the aid of instruments is a measurement of the instrument itself; for it is the effect on the instrument that the instrument is able to measure.

You seem to have developed a habit of saying what has no meaning in reality. Let me show you what has no meaning in reality:

"Do you deny they do not exist and are detectable..?"

That is a true definition of what has no meaning in reality.

<quoted text> We in fact know the entire spectrum of electromagnetic radiation ,we also know human ability to to detect them is limited by human sight and hearing as well as sound. You are trying to say my ability is not good enough to detect your god.
No. You do not know anything beyond your physical ability/capacities as such; it is absurd to think you can. It would be like trying to contain ten litres of water in a 1 litre container.

Any attempt to know something beyond your physical capacity constitutes assumptions and speculations.

I am saying all human experiences are subjective; whether they are scientifically inclined or religiously inclined.

Yes, it is. I can see that you can see the relationship of numbers in energy relation and the action of ordered structure formation(dynamics actually). The Dogon hold the best information(ancient). We are just now discovering what they have known for thousands of years(including quantum physics and symbols).
Chaos lends to order-leads to entropy-(unless interrupted).
O_O

We have seen that order "lends to" order.

But we have not seen that chaos "lends to" order.

I know who you are and you cannot prevail against the Law of Equality (L.O.E.)-_-
