I suggested an end to the discussion of guns.

I didn't name anybody--just an end to the discussion.

No censorship (a suggestion), no bigotry (meant for all).

So there, Ms. Happiness.

I was talking about shit like Lean Cuisine. That's some of the worst "food" you can buy.
I agree, reudce cholesterol as much as you can, but take in what fats your body needs.
See a fat person, you know they're taking in way to much fat.
Now here we totally agree- about Tyson, that is. And just as cruel as Tyson- or as beyond cruel as you say- is KFC.

About Lean Cuisine- yep- packed with chemicals and preservatives, but if one is eating them for the purpose intended- to lose weight by eating a low calorie, low fat meal, Lean Cuisine is a great choice for that.

And AGAIN, RR- "stupider" IS a word and a perfectly correct word and just as correct as "more stupid".

GOOGLE it if you don't believe me.

So while "stupider" IS a perfectly correct word, "descenter" of course, is NOT.

If you want to learn about the English language, learn that there are very few hard and fast rules in that while adding an "er" to ALL words is not correct, it IS correct to add "er" to SOME words- with "stupider" being just ONE of those words.

Today? Easily. Almost half of their business is now done through online ordering services and deliveries. Many of their customers are actually reclusive or shut-ins of many types, most for medical reasons. Many grocers offer this service now, and have seen pretty good increases in profits since they began.
However, if you want to try the "blame game" against Walmart, you should do a lot of research on it. Many of the people that work for the company are unable to work for other companies, usually because the other companies, the ones that you think are more "fair," will not hire them. Starbucks does that as well, they will hire almost anyone, and both companies offer health insurance to all their full time employees, regardless of pay grade, education, or experience. These same companies also offer a lot of financial support and aide to low income and even destitute people in their local areas. In Seattle, Starbucks even gives free food to a lot of the homeless and won't kick a person out of their store unless they are presenting a threat to or are harassing the customers and employees, this is actually corporate policy. Our local Walmarts help pay for low income housing and offer jobs to even those who don't have residential addresses, which is a difficult federal law to work around, you cannot legally work in the US without a permanent address, not sure how they work that but meh, it's giving people jobs so it's a good thing.
Hey. I worked for Starbucks. I'm not just anybody :)

And I do NOT eat chain pizza- no Pizza Hut, no Dominoes, no Papa John's, etc.
I eat pizza from actual mom and pop pizza parlors.
And here is what also makes up a pizza:
Vitamins
The tomato sauce on pizza contains vitamins A, C, E, K, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, folate, choline, lycopene and lutein.
The vitamins in the whole milk mozzarella cheese on pizza include vitamins A, B12, D, E, K, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, folate, choline and retinol. The saturated fat in whole milk mozzarella cheese is 14.73 g per cup and the cholesterol is 88 mg per cup.
The vitamins in pizza dough made with all-purpose, enriched and unbleached white flour include vitamins A, B6, E, K, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, pantothenic acid, folate, folic acid, lutein and zeaxanthin.
Minerals and Amino Acids
Tomato sauce contains 18 amino acids and the minerals it contains include calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium.
Mozzarella cheese is high in calcium and it contains iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium.
The minerals in the dough include calcium, iron, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, zinc, copper, manganese and selenium. Pizza dough contains some saturated, monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats and 18 amino acids.
And according to the USDA:
According to the United States Department of Agriculture, pizza is one of America's favorite foods and eating cheese is a good way of getting calcium and protein. The National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases puts pizza on its list of calcium sources. The USDA also states studies have shown that the consumption of tomatoes may lessen your chance of getting cancer because tomatoes contain the antioxidant lycopene. A prostate cancer study showed a drop in prostate cancer risk when the amount of lycopene in the blood was elevated. Studies have also shown that when you eat tomatoes, you may be able to lessen your risk of developing heart disease, colorectal cancer, stomach cancer and lung cancer.

Thanks, but I'll continue to indulge with a bit more frequency than I indulge in pizza and another reason I will is because I'm not eating any animal flesh when I eat pizza.
But, hotdogs are not unhealthy.

The history behind the creation of bread to fill up poor people cheaply, is interesting too.

Our bodies don't actually digest most grains, something a lot of foodies forget when they say that whole grain is beneficial. ;)

I take your word for it as I have also discovered the same things you have on the matter, so I have no reason to doubt it. Grain is a filler, it's to make you feel more full than you are so that you don't eat too much, basically. it can also add some consistency to the bile, if your body has the proper balance of bacteria. But after major digestive surgery, I had complications so mine was just that, or even from long term use of antibiotics, your digestive system become imbalanced and it can take decades to restore that balance. But there are also other ways the body can accomplish what grains do, one is to consume starch in place of grain.

That's just for groceries. I just ordered a second pair of glasses from an internet wholesaler. I order my medical supplies ... online, sometimes I pick those up at location though. Online shopping is the largest marketplace now, and "parking lots are full" doesn't change that fact.

As for breaking the law, no, I said there are ways around the law and they have found one around that law, a law that hurts employees not businesses. Most people, working people, are a single paycheck away from homelessness, they get sick and miss one week of work they're out of a home. Penalizing them for this fact is wrong, and you are supporting a tyranny that does just that. So anyone who can find a legal loophole to help the employee is a good company, end of story.

And please don't take this the wrong way, but from what I've read of some of your posts regarding food and nutrition, you seem to be lacking in quite a bit of knowledge.

Eating actual MEALS (Tyson frozen DINNERS) as "in between meal SNACKS"??

Not at all healthy and it sounds like you may be subject to overeating.

I've spent many years studying nutrition and what does or does not make up a proper diet and proper caloric intake.

If you think you are only eating a snack by eating a complete frozen dinner between meals, you're wrong.

A snack would be a piece of fruit, some cheese and crackers, even a candy bar- but a full meal intended to be eaten as such can't logically be called a "snack".

No.....what our bodies don't actually digest and certainly not efficiently is animal flesh.

And no....grain is NOT a filler despite that it is sometimes USED as such.

And starches are NOT healthy for those with high blood sugar or full blown diabetes or for those trying to lose weight- not to mention that bread is a STARCH.

Most local farmers have to use the older and less humane methods, actually. Not to mention they aren't regulated as much and thus don't even have to tell how they do things. We have to kill things to eat, the debate of which method of killing is more humane is pretty silly, since it's all still killing.

As for your final point, not really. Most fat people are that way because they don't get as much activity as their bodies need, a side effect of living in the modern age. What angers me though is that many ailments are being stereotype as "fat" or "not fat" illnesses, and fat people get most of the illnesses so us skinny people are often not diagnosed until it almost kills us as a result. The reality of the situation is much simpler than what doctors even want to face, some people are just fat. That's it, everything else is stereotype or urban myth.

Okay- I don't like Walmart- period.

I find most of their merchandise to be shoddy and poorly made and their produce department to be sorely lacking and filled with substandard produce.

And sorry- but "getting AROUND the law" is really no different from BREAKING the law- it's just a different way of saying it is all.

And despite how much on-line shopping at Walmart might take place, their parking lots ARE always full and quite often to capacity.

NOW end of story.
