God help your souls wrote: Again I find this strange that the non believers use a substantial amount of bible vs in there argument. Why would one go there to even question? Lol Do you really think that is a valid argument? When a fundamentalist uses the Bible as there reference, and an atheist who knows what is written in the Bible, knows of a particular verse that will blow some argument the atheist is making completely out of the water then why not use it. Sort of like if two armies are fighting in foxholes, and one has small arms, while the other has small arms and grenades, and the one with the grenade tosses a live grenade into the other's foxhole, would it not make sense to toss it back, even if you didn't believe in fighting with grenades. If that last paragraph works, maybe I should have it copyrighted as I just made it up, out of my 2 braincell head. When a fundamentalist claims that 100% of the Bible is the Word of God, and every word is to be taken absolutely as it was written, and you, as an atheist, can quote them a verse that they would never consider obeying, then would using the Bible as an atheist not have validity. From my point of view, at least, doing so sort of blows the theory that the Bible was written or inspired by an omnipotent and kindly god.

True for a human, but Jesus wasn't human. Riiiight. The Jesus wasn't human, but the Jesus was a human, and the Jesus was also a god, that was a human, but the Jesus wasn't a human, the Jesus was a god. Which, incidentally, was a god that turned itself into a human so it could sacrifice itself to itself to save its own creations from the wrath of itself. whew....what a hoot.

Still isn't good enough for you to even take a "hmmm, maybe" look at it? You're very close-minded. Nothing "caused" God - He has always been. Hard for you to understand, I know. You can't even imagine the possibility can you? None of you seem to be able to... Sad. If God has "always been", then why couldn't something simpler, like what God is comprised of ... why couldn't that have always been? Energy has never been created nor destroyed, it only changes form. All matter is a form of Energy. So if all energy making up the universe has never been created nor destroyed and has "always been" ..... no creator is required.

YELLODOG wrote: <quoted text> God is the Creator of all things. you can see Him in the glory of His creation. the majesty, the beauty, the detail, the awsomeness, the magnitude and perfection .......... God is a God of goodness and love and mercy. To have the gift of life. To breath, see, walk and be able to enjoy life in it's fullest. to know that all good things come from God. God is the author of rightness, light, truth and He has set a plan for His creation that we might have HOPE, eternal HOPE in Christ. we can have eternal life because God loves us that much. He made us and cares for us. and the most wonderful part of God is that when times are difficult, scary, hard, and no matter what we are going thru, HE gives us a peace that is beyond ALL understanding that sustains us thru the trials of this life. we can have joy NO MATTER WHAT we face in life. HE protects and guides us every day. He wants the best for us. He wants us to have life and have it more abundantly......and ask so little from us in return... faith. GOD is good. that is the most simplest way to put it.........because no words could ever sufficently decribe the goodness that God truly is. Thanks for the post. Does this god have a name?
