Why would anybody want to ban AR-15's?

With my thirty round clip I can trim my hedge before my neighbor can get his tools out of the garden shed.

I think everyone should have an AR-7 .22 caliber survival rifle, that's the one which disassembles and the parts (action and barrel) stores inside the stock, you can put it under the back seat of your car or in the trunk, and that way you'll have it when the zombies attack! I carry one in my Jeep all the time, on back roads and in remote areas – I really don't lose much sleep over the whole zombie thing though :-)

Can we do that? Ban those creeps?
Sounds like a good idea to me, preemptive societal sanitation.

I prefer the term..... Retroactive abortion. Since the libs seem to be ALLLLL kinds of in favor of abortion they shouldn't it mind one bit.

well,(typical)head-up-the-azz lib. There have BEEN bills proposed and constantly updated since the original ILLEGAL Clinton gun ban expired, but NEVER made it to the floor because dipsh1ts like Chuck U. Schumer and Diane Finkstien realize many of their comrades are either proponents of (as opposed to OPPONENTS to) the second Amendment or are from States that favor private ownership. And being SMART libs,as far as libs can be,they value their cushy,phoney-baloney jobs.

Low comprehension skills? I said PROPOSED,not submitted. Just because certain issues do not become Bills or law does NOT mean they aren't ALWAYS in the wings. Where some liberal sleaze bag with an agenda lurks, waiting,HOPING for the next tragedy to occur to exploit it to press their pet agenda.

UPDATE: There have been NO Bills proposing a ban. It WAS to be part of the 2013 gun legislation Bill but Libs couldn't find the support to make it possible. In the face of overwhelming opposition they threw in the towel. Good job NRA. Well done America.

Again, just because it doesn't become a Bill doesn't mean there isn't some azzhat lib waiting,HOPING for the next shooting to bring it up yet again.

I have no problem admitting an error of context. But you still can't deny that loony azzed libs are still looking to ban weapons IF they can.

Not only can I deny it I can back it up. There have been NONE, ZERO bills to ban guns.

It is a NRA scare tactic used to:

Increase gun sales
Increase ammo sales
Increase NRA membership

I prefer an AK 47 myself; it's piston-operated rather than gas-operated, so it requires less maintenance and is therefore more durable and trustworthy.

"By GABRIELLE LEVY, UPI.com
Senator Dianne Feinstein Thursday unveiled legislation to reintroduce an assault weapons ban similar to one that was allowed to expire in 2004.

The proposed ban includes 150 types of firearms, which looking to eliminate high-capacity magazines, includes certain handguns and shotguns that have removable ammunition-feeding devices...."

"Proposed assault-weapons ban
Democratic lawmakers reintroduced a bill that would ban nearly 160 military-style assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines, as well as a ban on aftermarket modifications and prohibition of workarounds such as modified stocks or “bullet buttons.”
The 2013 proposal does not have a sunset provision, unlike the 1994 assault-weapons ban that expired 10 years after it became law.
In order to prevent manufacturers from producing copycats, the new ban defines an assault weapon as having at least one military-style feature......."

AK-AKs are good weapon systems.
You can drop it in the mud, pick it up on the run and still trust it to connect with a target.
It'll blow the tube clean on it's own.
