Should people on food stamp be able buy junk food?

you are truely an awfull person , you say its just the abusers but you want to punish them all . do you hate people who win the lottery too , because i bet some of them just sit around feeding the birds and not looking for a job . while poor poor ortopod has to go to work and support all them lazy bums single handedly with her own paycheck. no one else has to pay taxes do they , and if some people dont mind supporting poor people thier oppinion is invalad because you say so.

Whats your sick obsession with fruit and vegtables? I don't hate people who win the lottery.(except for the child molester who one last year). I hate the people who win the lotto and then complain about having to drive to Tallahasse to pick it up. You know the lazy bumbs.

I am having a tough time here...there are at least three conflicting reactions:
1. Outrage in sympathy with Orthie.
2. Hysterical laughter...why would anyone find a fruit-salad-free-for-all remotely stimulating?
3. Is it ethical to "out" people from other, entirely unrelated threads?

*Single/divorced/never-married mother with kids. Early/teen first pregnancy.
*Smoker.

*Not graduated from HS. or HS only, but limited literacy.
*Obese
*Heavy religion.

Who in the hell do you think you are to assume people who may smoke/ have overweight kids and so on get food stamps .You are one of those people who judge the book by the cover .And did you ever think people may want to adopt disable kid because they may have a heart and want the child to know love .People like you make me sick.

I really only said the same thing as you, but a lilttle differently.

There are many who want one parent to stay home with their children. They only do so if they can make it work financially though.

Why don't you take in a family that is "less fortunate" as you and support them then?

Or.... do you just want to do so with other people's money?

How about regular drug testing for recipients of public assitance?..... The people who work to support them have to comply with drug testing at a lot of their places of employment, so why shouldn't they?..... Yes, I understand not everyone on public assistance is using illegal drugs, but I know many ARE..... Think of the money this country would save in not having to pay them for doing nothing.

Hello People. I live with my daughter who has 3 kids. She has to work at night but at the moment is laid off. We draw foodstamps and buy what is good for us plus junk because children should eat what they need but also need junk food every now and then for fun as a treat. I live with her and care for the kids because it would cost her 300 a week for day care and she barely brings home 250 a week.check.

Also you can't hardly get help with daycare because the waiting list is so long.
