I'm caring for my 100 lb wife who is in home hospice care dying from a brain tumor. I don't condone what this man did (or failed to do) but it is very difficult to do this with just a short daily visit from a home care aide to help me. There is little help available for care givers no matter what you may think. I've begged for help from every conceivable organization you can imagine. In the end the care giver is left alone to do most of the work. It can be overwhelming even if you are "well insured" as we thought we were. Insurance companies dictate to the medical professionals and after they pay what their tricky worded policies obligate them to pay you either care for your loved on mostly on your own or go broke trying to pay for private care.
