In what year was that dishwashing liquid bottled? Did it have a nice bouquet? Did it come out as easily as it went in?

So many questions ...:)

Generally, dishwashing liquid is served with the white or lighter meats, such as fowl. The stronger meats like steak & beef, are best served with a heavy duty degreaser or, for the really adventurous, a nicely chilled drain opener.

They forgot to read the label or they didn't have their glasses on or they didn't know how to read. Now they are making dishwashing soap bottles look like wine bottles? I'll have a few, would help make the kitchen look nicer.

Don't forget your lemon scented detergent for that light, fruity aftertaste.

Caution: natural selection at work! I call double-dumbass on the person who didn't spit out the very first sip. Probably were fundies, they will believe anything.

And this is why any kind of chemical should be stored in original container if at all possible.
It does seem that the smell should have seemed off... I hope they are both okay.

This is a lot like the Applebee's Pinacolada/Juice mix-up. If there is not a state requirement banning unmarked containers in restaurants, healthcare facilities, and the like, there ought to be.

And this was worse than unmarked - this was incorrectly marking a chemical as a beverage. Major no-no.

How does dishwashing liquid look like wine? How stupid do you have to be to drink it? Wouldn't it have had bubbles in it, and a soapy flavor as soon as you started to drink it? I honestly think the people involved were all retarded.

Yes, the waiter/waitress is truly lucky he/she didn't get hedgehogged on the spot.

Under New Zealand's no-fault accident law, victims do not sue for damages. Instead, treatment costs and income loss are met by the nation's Accident Compensation scheme.
If we had this law here, all the trial and claims lawyers would be out of business HAHAHA!

The consistancy alone should have been clue #1. Not aware of many wines with that goo like consistancy. Then again I try and stay away from the screw cap types.
