Something BIG is happening; 9 U.S. states declare sovereignty!

Last week, I reported on this blog that the New Hampshire Legislature made a dramatic declaration warning the federal government that they risk "nullifying the Constitution."

Within the past 7 days, eight other U.S. states have made similar declarations of their sovereignty!

Clearly something "big" is up. These types of actions by state legislatures rarely if ever take place, and I know of absolutely no time in US history when so many states made such declarations within such a short period of time.

WHAT IF......
The states disband the federal government; which is within their power to do via Constitutional Convention, then walk away from the entire $20 TRILLION U.S. National Debt?

They could tell the creditors to go collect the money from the people who borrowed it..... Oh, wait...... they no longer exist ..... too bad. Bye.

We could be witnessing the foundation of the biggest financial f__k-job in the history of the world as US states dissolve the federal government that borrowed all the money!

Below are links to the nine states (so far) that have made sovereignty declarations of one type or another.

You only have 8 states listed. I could see Texas being added to that list. Possibly Alaska might want to go their own way, but that might make them vulnerable to a Russian invasion.

Interesting posts. Why should we the people pay for government debt? Who gave them permission to spend money we don't have (12 trillion dollars) on bogus wars and foreign aid to Israel?

If Wisconsin cecedes from the Union, there will be no cheese for the Nation. If Alaska cecedes, there will be no sno-cones,oil,polar bears. If Michigan leaves, there will be no Automobiles. If Utah Leaves, there will be no polygamy groups to prosecute. If Texas leaves, the border problem will move to utah, nevada. If California leaves there will be no Spanish speaking state in the U.S. What would happen to Football? Canada will sneak in to become a replacement state.

Since when can whole states outsource themselves?
It would then balance out the National Debt, in Washingon. What if Washington D.C. outsources from the union and becomes a capitol offshore somewhere else, like marrakesh.

Wrong! We'll still have free trade. We just won't have to feed any more money to the federal pig beast in DC anymore. Let the politicians pay out of their own pockets for wars on terror and foreign aid to Israel.

The government has no right to rack up trillions of dollars in bogus debt, and expect to enslave its people and impoverish them paying it off.

The government has no right to counterfeit money to bail out thieving wall street bankers.

States have every right to tell the FED PIG BEAST to Fuckoff!

Declaring sovereignty is not the same as seceding. They are basicly saying that any laws that that Congress passes that is outside the powers given to Congress in the constitution will not be enforced.

Our politicians got us into this debt and they want poor people to pay for it.

Let the politicians pay for banker bailouts. Let the Bush family pay the trillions spent on wars in Afghanistan and Irac.

who cares

The US can only be destroyed from within, I'm not taking the bait.
What would back the currency for each state?

Todd Palin was and probably still is an active member of a Alaska secessionist group for years.

I thought we tried that close to 150 years ago? It didn't work out so well.
