I was just wondering why are there so many women that are against feminism? I think being a feminist is great and women should NOT have to serve a man because that what it says in a bible!

I don't 'serve a man' just because it tells me to in the Bible. I serve a man out of respect to him. I serve a man out of love for him. I serve a man out of a loyalty to him.

He serves me out of respect to me. He serves me out of love for me. He serves me out of a loyalty to me.

When we married he told me I would never know hunger, I would always have a roof over my head, and I would never have to fear any man alive.

When we married I only promised him my honor.

I like the view from atop my pedestal and see no reason to come down.

If you enjoy your feminism, then more power to you. Just don't take away my right to not be a feminist. Thanks.

I support it to a point, I mean geez who doesn't want the hubby or date to open the car door for them, or light your cigarette for you...but I still want equal pay, ya know what I mean???? I want the best of both worlds.

Excellant post, feminism separates and thrives on dissent instead of love.
I'm not sure if the thread starter knows it or not, men do honor, love, adore, nurture, and care for their spouse, likewise.
Try hanging with people who are less into hating, or who aren't lesbians just trying to get you in the sack, because only they care for you and can show you true or real love.LOL

Radical anything thrives on dissent. Not just radical feminism.
But I usually don't "hang" with feminists. I simply "hang" with those I like. Some are radical in their political beliefs, some are radical in their religious beliefs. I just choose not to be radical--well mostly not radical.

Because women aren't the Borg. We don't all share the hive mind. How can any one political ideology possibly encompass what all women want?

You're right for YOU. The things your husband said would have insulted me. But I'm not you.

Why an insult? Just curious.

Because it implies I can't provide those things for myself.

Interesting take on it. I guess I'll have to let him respond to that, because I am at a loss for words.

If your husband said if you marry me I would like to give you a mink coat, a diamond ring, and a new lexxus, would you also be insulted?

Just an observation ..... it sure seems to my wife
and I that, with few exceptions, those women who
view life thru the lens of feminism tend to be
unhappy and given to keeping "score," as it were
regarding anything that might conceivably offend
them. Not much fun to be around.

You already have equal pay. Men are more like to take extremely demanding jobs, and very dangerous jobs. They are also less likely to cut back on their hours or interrupt their career for personal issues.

If you want to be paid like a man, you have to work and sacrifice like one. Otherwise you do not deserve equal compensation.

Ohhh, you're not a sexist are u? Ok buddy, you stay home take care of 6 kids with 5 in diapers [ok a slight exaggeration] do all the housework, make breakfast, lunch and supper 8 days a week, take the kids to Drs. appts. dentists, soccer, football, basketball all summer. Never have a day off, not mention going through God only knows how many hours of labor and tell that we don't deserve to be paid for this and have equal wages to boot.
