President Bush is pursuing a globalist agenda to create a North American Union, effectively erasing our borders with both Mexico and Canada. This was the hidden agenda behind the Bush administration's true open borders policy.
Secretly, the Bush administration is pursuing a policy to expand NAFTA politically, setting the stage for a North American Union designed to encompass the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. What the Bush administration truly wants is the free, unimpeded movement of people across open borders with Mexico and Canada.
President Bush intends to abrogate U.S. sovereignty to the North American Union, a new economic and political entity which the President is quietly forming, much as the European Union has formed.
The blueprint President Bush is following was laid out in a 2005 report entitled "Building a North American Community" published by the left-of-center Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). The CFR report connects the dots between the Bush administration's actual policy on illegal immigration and the drive to create the North American Union:
At their meeting in Waco, Texas, at the end of March 2005, U.S. President George W. Bush, Mexican President Vicente Fox, and Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin committed their governments to a path of cooperation and joint action. We welcome this important development and offer this report to add urgency and specific recommendations to strengthen their efforts.
What is the plan? Simple, erase the borders. The plan is contained in a "Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America" little noticed when President Bush and President Fox created it in March 2005:

The above was cut and pasted from Rense.com . Here is what wikipedia says about Jeff Rense:
Jeff Rense is an American conspiracy theorist and is the host of the Jeff Rense program, broadcast on radio and on the Internet.
Rense's radio program and website (see below) cover such subjects as UFO reports, paranormal phenomena, conspiracy theories, reports of new diseases and a plethora of other material rarely covered by the mainstream media. Jeff Rense leans towards a populist approach regarding politics and media. He does not subscribe to any conventional political standpoint and many of his views are simultaneously left and right leaning.

Now, regarding the substance: the only way forward is to continue to promote free trade and mutual prsoperity between the countries of the western hemisphere. Toward that goal, a good start is to strengthen ties between Canada, the United States and Mexico.
However, any suggestion that the U.S. is secretly negotiating to dissolve its sovereignty - which would obivously require abolishing the Constitution - is plainly absurd.

It's very easy to dismiss an issue by labeling it a conspiracy theory." However, for the past six years the US borders have been open -- allowing a flood of illegal immigrants to enter our country -- lowering the wages of working US citizens. At he same time fines or prosecution for companies or corporations that hire illegal immigrants have all buy disappeared.
Our bankruptcy laws have been rewritten to favor corporations allowing them to dup pensions and insurance. It is now legal to fire employees if you can replace them with an employee that will work for less.
There has been a rapid removal of mid-level job now being exported to countries that pay lower wages. Even though there is a clear indication that the American dream is quickly turning into an American nightmare, our congress and senate have not passed any legislation that is designed to protect the US citizens and their jobs.
Instead of criticizing the reports -- take time to read them and double check the information. Check the voting records of the Senate.
Don't you care about what is happening in the US...

It is hard for me to believe any rational person would believe that there is not a shadow government at work here continuing to put this plan into affect.
I have shown you here and in other topix forums what Bush thinks about Americans.
I have given you Government sites to research.
I have shown you what Bush says about the Constitution.
I have shown you sites of some of our political leaders have said about the NAU.
You have given me what?
One web site that you think supports your opinion.
I will be posting other sites to support my stand on the NAU.
I am sure you will find fault with all of them.
Thank you for responding.

OK I will repeat myself, in fact I will clarify:
Anybody who believes there is a plan to destroy the sovereignty of the United States is a nut job.

As for typical's post, first of all you never address cuckoo-head's assertion that there is a plot to end U.S. sovereignty. Second, are you a revolutionary? Do you plan to overthrow capitalism? Do you believe the U.S. can stand alone in a world economy?
The things you cite have been going on for the last generation and unless there is an overthrow of capitalism they will continue to happen.
I suggest that you smell the coffee...and I mean that.

I think we are in real danger of losing the true meaning of our sovereignty, at the hands of Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush, and others. Vote on Tuesday.

I am no defender of the Bush administration; quite the contrary, and I too believe that he routinely attempts to get around the constitution and U.S. law.
And I agree that our prestige is being eroded by the clumsy attempts to dictate the policies of other nations, although the North Korea saga seems to be turning.
Fifty years from now, history will be better able to put these decisions into perspective.
Sovereignty means something specific. For example, Iraq has none right now because it is occupied.
The U.S. has sovereignty because it controls its own actions and its own territories.
Do we agree that the borders are porous? Yes. Is it probable that the U.S. seeks closer trade ties with its neighbors? Of course.
None of this adds up to cuckoo-head's dimwitted assertion that we are in the process of forming a north american super-nation.

How can we have sovereignty with open boarders?
I totally agree that this has been a generation of great change in the US. Our borders have been left open to provide cheap labor. Our laws are now being written by lobbyist to grant favors to corporations. Our lawmakers have been bought and sold to the highest bidders.
In the name of capitalism, US jobs are on the chopping blocks. The gap between the very rich and the very poor is greater than at any time in modern history. We are quickly becoming a two-tiered society.
Do you support what is happening in the US? If so, why?
#11 Nov 2, 2006
The gap between the very rich and ECERYBODY ELSE is obscene. Even the super-rich are embarrassed by the Bush tax cuts.
We need to separate bad policy from the inevitability of world capitalism. There is no way to protect inflated labor costs. We must invent newer jobs to replace those which can be done in a commoditized way.
And yes we can and do have soveriegnty despite outr porous borders. We simply need better policies.
#12 Nov 2, 2006
The average wage in the US is only about $36,000.
That includes all the college graduates and union jobs. Labor cost in the US is not inflated. If anything labor cost has been deflated or leveled.
#13 Nov 2, 2006
Inflated compared to labor which is available elsewhere.
This is a world economy, get used to it.
#14 Nov 2, 2006
Well, I have begun reading the information from these links, and I have to say that I am elated.
It is about time that we stopped treating Mexico as a hotbed for criminals who, um, invade us. It is long past due for us to recognize our responsibility to promote a healthy and prosperous North America, and to recognize that we cannot 'go it alone.'

I went to the BTA website, the first one mentioned in the IL posting above yours. It appears to be a legitimate site having many sponsors, among Wells Fargo Bank, Ford Motor Company and many others. It speaks of the open border policy the poster from IL mentioned. Now, are you saying this is a phony site and following your logic, the many sponsors are "made up"? Please clarify your statements. Is the first site, BTA, a scam? Are you saying it was created by Jeff Rense as a joke on those prone to conspiratorial beliefs? Thanks.
#16 Nov 2, 2006
I am in favor of more open borders.

Speaking of "shadow governments", I just wonder what who the republican nominee will be for the next presidential election. Boy, I hope I am wrong. There are some politicals that are trying to have the Constitution rewritten (OK- Amended) so a foreigner with enough time here can be elected. Yes, I just wonder if, "magically", we soon find the Constitution "adjusted" so Arnold Schwarzenegger will be the rep nominee. What are the chances? I know I may be labeled an idiot, so I really do hope I am completely wrong. Because, if not, we will truly be up against "it". Stranger than fiction? In reality, I hope it is fiction.

That's interesting. A Canadian who does not want more open borders with the U.S.
#20 Nov 2, 2006
Why would a Canadian want more open borders with the USA?
