Going to an CO hot spring is very relaxing and enjoyable. It is one of the fastest and easiest ways to releve oneself of stress. It is a good way to get a tan and not have tan lines. A person doesn't have to put up with a clammy, wet, cold swimming suit. People that I have met at these resorts are more tolerant of people and courteous than are people you run into else where.

Ladies and Guys, this is a subject that most people will give a thumbs down answer to. If you have never participated in nudist activities, please learn what the nudist movement is about before answering. Most people assume that nudist resorts is a cover for episodes of wild monkey sex. Not so, while you will find swingers that hide behind the front of being nudist, a true nudist is just as conservative as anyone. We love to have sex--with our wife--at our home--in our bedrooms. We don't hold with swinging and trying to bed everyone's wife at the resort. We like clean, wholesome fun that doesn't make us have to leave our kids elsewhere so we can have fun. To see us on the street, you wouldn't know us from your next door neighbor, the people you meet in the supermarket, the people you go to church with, the repairman that fixes your airconditioner, or the doctor that treats your different illnesses. We could even be a brother or sister and you would never know. Also, nudist aren' made up of weight lifters or modles. We are made up of people that are short, tall, skinny, and fat. We may have scars on our bodies from surgery, being involved in some type of accident, streach marks from pregnancies and childbirth, wrinkles from being old and may show up confined to a wheel chair or using crutches. We look like and are the people that makle up the different communities and towns. We may be you. We try to be more tolerant, consiterate, and less judgemental than others. We believe in accepting a person for who they are, not what color they are or for how much money they make, or if they wear designer clothes or shop at Wal-Mart.

I thought about that but I'd rather hear of the events and how people got into public nudity, and became nudist or nudist tolerant.

my wife and i visited hedonism 3 in jamaica for our honeymoon. a first time for both and we hope to revisit. as ghost rider says, not really all about the sex, but it does happen, can't be avoided. we watched a couple go at it on the beach, but they were away from any crowd. really it was just full of people enjoying life, without any inhibitions. there's something incredibly freeing about carrying on a conversation with others as you came into the world, naked.

Amy, try going to a family oriented C.O. hot springs resort. Most of them are found west of the Continental Divide. You will love them. There is a much more secure feeling for the ladies
than you will find at the nude beaches. Perverts don't last long at this type of resort. The women can do their thing of swimming, sunning, hiking, and camping without having to worry about some pervert trying to force them into something.
I have found that the people are a lot more courteous and considerate of their fellow man at these resorts than you will find at the resorts requiring clothes to be worn. There is less sexual pressure at these resorts than there is at a public swimming pool, where the suits bring attention to certain areas of the body.

Brad, this doesn't happen at the family oriented clothes optional hot springs resorts. The atmosphere is where you can take your kids along and there wont be anything taking place that hurts for them to see. Some of the more fancy resorts of this type offer restaurant dining, different kinds of recreational sports to be played by the men and women going there. The ones I like to go to in Colorado are Orvis and Valley View. Both can be pulled up on the "net".
The more elaborate resort is Terra Cotta Inn in Palsm Springs, California. The word of mouth has it, this is the delux resort in clothes optional resorts. This, also, can be pulled up on the "net".

If you are interested in going to this type of resorts and beaches. Start out at home. When you take your shower, delay getting dressed. Do your house cleaning nude, when you come in from work, undress, shower, and go in and sit down, relax and watch tv. When you get comfortable with yourself being nude, include others that you trust to be around you this way. Incase of a family,(Dad, Mom, Brothere, Sisters, Husband/wife
children, it would be time to have a family conversation, discussing this and your desire to go nude. Who knows, you might have a lot of company and it become a family way of life.
Before I became a self-made nudist, I read and re-read all the information I could find on nudist and nudism. I self-educated myself as to what nudism and the nudist were about. It changed my whole way of thinking. I found out that the nudist movement wasn't about sex the way I used to think. I discovered it was the ideal way to relax and get rid of stress. What does a nudist do? The same things that a person wearing clothes does. Only, he/she enjoyes themselves more. It is also an ideal way to sleep. A secure back yare with a good, high privacy fence and a swimming pool, makes an ideal place to spend weekends when you don't have time to go to the beach or resort. Check it out. I think you might enjoy it.

Why did you stop? Go on the "net". You can locate many resorts in your area to go to when the weather warms up. In case you have gotten unused to being this way, start like I recommended to Too Shy. My only regret is, I wasted so many years before I found how much fun it is and how relaxing. At the resorts, you don't have to worry about being caught and maybe having a fine to pay. It's legal at the resorts to be this way. Before going to a resort, call ahead and make sure you know their rules and so that they will be expectaing you.

Any of you interested, Here is a website that I recomment reading:
www.geocities.com/sunnydaynew

This is a site where a lady has printed several stories about starting out as a nudist at the age of 17 and goes up through 2006 with her stories. I recommend it. There also is a guest book you can sign and a forum you can post on.

ghost, i appreciate the recommendation, but the sex didn't bother me. i am a bit of a vouyer anyway. but courtesy is very important. hedo is only for adults, i believe, and if you don't mind the occasional glimpse of someone getting it on, i recommend it. the weather is perfect. it rains at about 3 pm for like 30 minutes every day, but other than that is sunny and beautiful.
i've heard of a resort near here, but haven't looked into it. i haven't heard anything positive, though it may be the source.

enjoy the breeze.

not going anywhere. i think i'm getting addicted to this place. i bring it up at work and constantly hit refresh, things are incredibly slow, so, plenty of time. and nothing's on tv now, so i can play at home too.
yea, addiction.

I went to a nudist resort called "Sunny rest Lodge" in northern Pennslyvania. It was just as you said these resorts are.I liked it enough that I went to 2 other ones.Plus several nude beaches. Now it's difficult to do so,as I have a limiting disability.I can walk,do most of things I use to do,just for much less time.I no longer have the finances to go to these places anymore. At least I did so for a few years,to have that experience.I sleep alone,so I sleep nude.So much an uptight childhood, that I use to sleep clothed even when alone.Silly me.I reasoned as to why I'm wearing sleep wear when alone!I miss these places. In New Jersey is a nude beach and most people living here near me don't know about it and scoffed that there is'nt.12 years I did the nude outings.Have'nt been able to talk to a fellow nudist around here.Too many uptight people here.I thought as you said, there may be neighbors that are nudist, but not here. The only ones I came acroos was 2 co-workers and that was 22 years ago,and have'nt found another one here since.Better to have bared then to not have bared at all!

Maria, that isn't what nudism and the nudist movement is about. I know you ladies are more size and weight concerned than us guys, but the nudist people are more tolerlant and considerate than any other group of people I have ever met. There are very few that participate that look like weightlifters or modles. Most of us show up as being tall, short, skinny, or fat. We also show up with scars on our bodies either from some type of surgery, streach marks from child birth, or from having been in some type of accident. No one that is a nusist, shows up looking perfect. We are human. All of us have defects about our bodies. I have seen women that I though they were the most beautiful person on earth until I got to know them. Their personality and snobish ways make them some of the most ugly people on the planet. I had rather be around another guy or lady that had a weight problem, than to be around a snob. If you ever show up at a resort where I'm at, I promise you that you will be most welcome. Since becoming a nudist, I have discovered how beautiful peoples eyes are. A person's eyes are the windows to their souls. You can look in a person's eyes and tell pretty much what kind of person they are. The nudist do a whole bunch of eye contact. This way a person is not made to feel self-concious about themselves or in not being clothed. If you have a weight problem and want to work on it, that's your business. Other than you working on it on your own, don't stay away from the resorts. You will be welcome.

That counts in a swingers resort. Are you into public nudity? If so, how did you get started? Who else is aware that you are into public nudity?
Where do you like to go to enjoy your public nudity? How long have you been into public nudity?
As for myself, I actually started 15 to 20 years ago. It actually took me until about 4 to 5 years ago to fully come to terms with going nude.
I went through the phase of going out, finding a secluded place, stripping off and sunbathing and skinnydipping. There was the thrill of knowing someone could walk up and catch me nude (a touch of voyeurism). I graduated to going nude when I slept, then to start leaving my clothes off while at home indoors. If I had a good privacy fence around my back yard, I'd stay in it day and night.
I started about 4 to 5 years ago, going to CO
resorts. Why did I start? I got tired of the snobish, intolerant people at the resorts and public pools. Their attitudes of snobish, better than you attitudes is why I started looking for something else besides the clothes required resorts. I only regret that I wasted so many years before I discovered the world of nudism.
