Pallavas are telugus. Pallava script was a telugu script of 7th century. Pallavas introduced script to tamil regions, there is no script in tamil areas until the 700 a.d. Tamil cave inscriptions dated to 200 b.c. Which was a big lie from tamil historians,Here these r the telugu letters from various periods from b.c. 400 to 1600 a.d. At number 8 u can see the pallava telugu script which was a telugu font used by tamils to write their literatures in tamil dialect http://www.engr.mun.ca/~adluri/telugu/languag...

These tamils copied everything from andhrapradesh regions of (telangana+coastal parts of AP+rayalaseema). Even ancient folk instruments like "dappu" and other arts copied from telangana regions. http://www.discoveredindia.com/andhra-pradesh...

My language Telugu is sweet, but we have to agree that it may not be as old as Tamil. I have spoken to professors from leading universities like Harvard, and they say that Tamil and Sanskrit are by far the oldest two human languages. I might be Telugu, but as a worker in the educational profession, I have to say Tamil is older than Telugu. Sorry. But indeed my language Telugu is sweetest of all.

Wth stop insulting tamil. That is as good as insulting your mother language. Just to let you know a language that adds 'oo' behind other language words is not a 'classical' language.

Look at English itself,'us' in bus and use is pronounced differently. Just like that palli and Balli do exist.
BTW, I am pretty sure even aravam and Telugu is derived from Tamil words.

Its a pity that this issue is even being discussed. Shame on those who actually offered 'evidence' supporting that Telugu is older than Tamil! In fact, its a major controversy that Kannada and Telugu were given 'Classical Language' title...

Telugu is the 2nd oldest of all, coming short of the mother of all languages, Malayaalam, followed by Kannada. Tamil and Sanskrit came yesterday.

Tamil obviously came first you idiotic specimen. There isn't even the slightest of chances that Telugu came first. Go and ask ACTUAL historians, not some undereducated, biased, jobless, dropout historians. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_langua...
^concrete evidence
And @Rudhra Rao, nice sense of sarcastic humour you got there...

Dont believe this tamil fool coments they came from sanskrit vs tamil topix. All the sangam grammer datings and tamilnadu history datings are fake these datings are not based from literatures. Sangam grammer was written by anti tamils after 10th to 15th centuries. Telugu is older than kannada and tamil for sure. Half of the tamil people r origins from telugu.even remaining tamils most of them are telugus migrated from pallava period to eastern chalukya times. Temples in tamilnadu were builted by telugus like pallavas and nayaks. And remaining temples were builted by mid cholas(eastern chalukyas) . No temples were builted by early chola, pandya and chera. Tamilnadu is a offshoot from telugu and kannada. Tamil is fake there was no tamil and nothing b4 telugu.

Tamil had classical language status for only one year bcoz its a fake language. Next Telugu and kannada had a classical language status for 5 years. Bcoz these 2 languages r real, original and oldest surviving language. From 6 classical languages no other languages have such a grand status for a long time of 5 years bcoz they r real and old surviving languages. Why tamil dont have a classical language status for long time? Bcoz historians and everybody confirmed tamil is fake, no native kings, gramer writen by non tamils after 10th century, temples builted by non tamils. Tamil language formed with some sinhala barbaric words+ telugu+sanskrit. Tamil early script was modified from pallava telugu script after 7th century a.d. Tamil is fake

These small languages are not even comparable with Tamil. Tamil is the oldest. Older than Sanskrit. Y to fight cheaply here with small languages. Type oldest languages in the world in Google and in many websites you will find the name Tamil along with other languages like Greek, Chinese. No other language spoken around here in todays India. There we stand. This is not the right platform for us. There is a English Proverb, Dont throw pearls before swine.
