I am making a claim that evidence that proves the existence of a god hasn't been identified as valid, because an event of such importance to billions of believers in the world would have been snatched up and spread all over the world long ago, such that the question of the existence of a god would be as silly as arguing today that the earth is flat, which people were martyred for not believing a few centuries ago.<quoted text>
You are making an absolute claim that it doesn't exist, yet provide NO evidence that supports your claim.
Schooled you again!
If one proven piece of evidence of God had been found, would this thread exist, and if so, besides just to pass the time, what purpose would it serve? Why would sane adults spend over 4 years insulting each other, attacking others, doing the most evil things about something that the truth of which was already a known established fact?
The fact is that the existence of a god is a 'belief' supported only by stories from ancient texts, and that even the most learned of clergy state one must accept God totally on belief, because God cannot be proved to exist. I have chosen based on my accumulations of information throughout my life to not believe in something that I know for a fact that no evidence exists to believe otherwise.
If I want to put my time and energy into something that is somewhat doubtful, at least I want to know there is some element of possibility that it does exist, based on known facts, and that the outcome of such a belief will have a certain expectation of a positive outcome, rather than a guarantee of eternal torture if I make the wrong decisions.
Based on 'known facts' there is no logical reason to believe in the God of the Bible.
