Just Think wrote: <quoted text> The word "experiment" was describing what you wrote, dillweed. Please see you post "first try A, then try B and see which works better." See...that's an experiment. What I was saying - which everyone but you could grasp - is that I have, in the past, reached out to the god of the bible. Nothing happened. Nada. Zip. Zilch. No response, no sense of anyone on the other end of my prayers. Want to know why? No one is there. If you start with the premise that God does not exist and then start praying to God, he will not answer. That's why I said in the beginning that the first step to communicating with God is to have faith in God, maybe you didn't have any, maybe you were trying to for yourself and trying to pray the same way you change channels on the TV. God doesn't work that way.

God doesn't work that way. Nope...nice try, though. I assure you, this was before I was an atheist. I was raised in a religious family. I did, in fact, believe. Then, as time went on, and the realization dawned that there was no god out there, I left religion behind.

They'd have to be delusional like YOU to pray to something that they know isn't there. DUH!!! Hmmm.... I think I'll eat a piece of cheese cake that doesn't exist. Oh gee... Why am I still hungry? LOL....

Either your sky fairy gave you a small malfunctioning brain or you are just a hypocrite coward unable to face your own mortality honestly. Any coward who kneels in prayer has not learned the proper use of their legs.

Allow me to repeat myself - again I was raised in a religous household. I believed in god. I prayed to god. I reached out to god. I asked god to come into my heart. I did everything that I was supposed to do and I did it with great sincerity. I felt, heard, saw, experienced absolutely nothing in return. That was an eye opener. From there it was a simple matter of seeing that once you get past the pomp and ceremony of religion, there isn't any proof that god exists. None So...no observable, measurable, tangible data that god exists. No emotional, spiritual, physical respone to my reaching out and praying to god. That is how I cam to my conclusion.

I've had the opposite experience. God has even touched me, literally. It's too bad you gave up.
