You can share credit. We have exceeded "pi" as it fell between your post and mine.

The number pi (symbol: π)/paɪ/ is a mathematical constant that is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, and is approximately equal to 3.14159. It has been represented by the Greek letter "π" since the mid-18th century, though it is also sometimes written as pi. π is an irrational number, which means that it cannot be expressed exactly as a ratio of any two integers (fractions such as 22/7 are commonly used to approximate π; no fraction can be its exact value); consequently,

that was before KO. about 10 years ago, I was diagnosed with diabetes. before that, I could eat anything. now I can only eat sweets, desserts, right after my doctor's appointment, right after they do a blood draw. that is every 4 months.

Is that a fasting blood draw?

correct. that is a sacrifice. I wish someday there is a blood draw and no need of fasting.

That would be preferred.

Years ago I had slight diabetes (type 2) and needed the blood draws and finger pricks. That was no fun :-(

andet,

You eat sweets after blood draw every 4 months? Do you ever get low blood sugar sometimes? I can barely recall my case since it was years ago. Seems like I had a list of symptoms & was told if I ever get anything on the list I had to eat something sugary to counteract it.

my co workers were shocked when I told them I NEVER do finger sticks. I never check my blood sugar. I told them why should I hurt myself with those pricks. besides, I am not worried about my blood sugar. I know how to avoid high blood sugar. eat moderately, avoid rice, read labels or contents of prepared foods, eat sweet fruits only (natural) and moderately, exercise daily. I only get pricked at the doctor's office.

Interesting.

Since you do everything you're supposed to you'd probably never get a bad reading anyway and the poking would be for nothing anyway.

the only reason why I eat sweets, pastries, etc right after the blood draw is, well, they already took my blood. they won't take my blood until after 4 months again. so I have to enjoy some sweets at this very moment, just one time every 4 months. just one time, not the whole day. the next day, and the succeeding days, I have to be careful of what I eat and exercise daily.:)

KO, I seldom get a low blood sugar or hypoglycemia. and I am not worried about it. I always have hard candies in my pocket and bag. I always have unsalted top saltine in my bag for snacks.

yes, a few times (seldom), I have to use a hard candy because I feel hungry already. I am still inside the bus for example. I have to wait to get off the bus to eat my next meal. and I feel hungry already. so I have to take one or two hard candies, or eat some of my saltine crackers.

KO, always have something to nibble to avoid hypoglycemia. I have a lot of salted peanuts at work. I also have some saltines, some ripe plantain chips (very delicious). ripe plantain chips are naturally sweet, so it is very safe. no sugar added.:)

also, avoid exercising more than one hour. limit your exercise to avoid hypoglycemia. well, you can exercise again, but you have to eat snacks first.:)

always read labels. anything above 4 or 5 grams sugar, I won't take it. I only eat sugar free ice cream (strawberry vanilla is SO DELICIOUS) and it is sugar free !!!:)

I dont have diabetes anymore, I got rid of it by losing weight. But I can still get low blood sugar on infrequent occasion. Thank you for the information :-)

The value of Pi is about $6.00 I know because I saw them for sale at Safeway the other day. I also have never seen a square one, although I've heard people say "Pi are square"
