Force Majeure,
Please, be my guest and introduce it to those forums.
I cannot believe when there is so much fake panic about the "fiscal cliff", that this government is yet, again, setting off on another costly war against a people who have never done a damn thing to us.
I do not see this type of empire building ending, without outside help from China and Russia, or, perhaps the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
China could simply cut up the US credit card, thus shutting off the money supply to the US for these wars, and demand payment for the outstanding debt of the US.
That would slow things down a bit.
During the Cold War there was a balance of power and influence that we could understand. I've been complaining ever since the fall of the USSR that the balance has been destroyed and that the U.S. can now do as it pleases with no one to challenge them. But perhaps I'm wrong. It could be that a new balance has already been established with China and Russia as major players but it's just to complicated for me to understand. Perhaps all the teachery the U.S. has been doing really is in compliance with those other powers? I know that my own government (once the most shinning beacon of democracy and justice) resembles almost nothing of its former self and I'm losing faith in it by the day.

For years, I thought that the Rosenbergs got what they deserved, the death sentence for having betrayed America.
Now, I see them differently. By giving the Russians atomic secrets, they actually kept the US from becoming the world's greatest threat.
I completely agree with you, and I am certain that is exactly what the Rosenbergs had in mind. I don't believe for one second that their main interest was monetary gain.

Just think if those Shanghai nations, Russia, China, and observers India, Pakistan, coupled with Iran, were to engage US forces, especially, after they have been spread so thin, their manpower, and their equipment depleted from over ten years of continuous war, that they could take on the US and win.
If they didn't want to do that, then, there are other options.
The US owes China Billions, perhaps over a trillion dollars. All China would have to do, is demand payment. That would slow the US down, perhaps unravel it from within.
The other option, would be a Cold War technique refined by the Russians. They could revise some KGB death squads and start working on the globalist "elite", the bankers and the minds behind globalism, because, that is what the US military is defending, not our freedom, but the concept of empire through globalism, ran by bankers.
You've obviously been thinking about it for some time. So tell me, if we accept that a sort of balance has already been achieved how do you rate it as compared to the balance we had during the Cold War? Better now? Worse? How have the "haves" and "have nots" shifted?

During the Cold War we had the suffering Third World and the "unfree" Eastern States, with "the West" pretty much living and prospering. Do you feel the West still prospers while the Arab world has taken the "unfree" spot and the Third World continues to suffer? Has China taken over as the counter-balance that the USSR once had - with N. Korea and Iran acting the part of "satellit nations" to China as did Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Vietnam, etc?

The US spends much more than they do on weapons systems, but they waste a lot of money on systems that are not viable on the battlefield, but their manufacture in the home district of the congressmen, helps that congressman get re-elected. Also, the congress is bought and paid for by Wall Street, and the Military Industrial Complex. Money foolishly spent to make the war contractors happy, and the congressman happy, but which the Pentagon says it doesn't need,or, want.
First of all I understand and agree with what you've written (here above) and Secondly I'm astounded at how much you know in the rest of your reply! How did you become so involved? Do you rely on a single source or have you collected your info from several sources?

In the final analysis you see China already having taken over the Soviet Union's roll as equal balance against the U.S........ or at least on the verge of becoming it. I wonder how many secrets China has that we (you) don't know about.

But then you ARE American. I realize that you are dismayed at the events of American involvement in its illegal endevours round the globe, but do you feel (personally) that China will represent a "fair and just" balance against the U.S. which would be within the framework of stability and/or humanitary concerns world-wide?

I thought that a bit odd. Sort of Mr. Putin accepting some type of pre-arranged deal, or, way of conducting Russia's relationship with the US. I didn't know what the THIRD WAY was, so I looked it up. When I tried to tell my contemporaries about the THIRD WAY, they would correct me and say that I must be talking about the Third WAVE... which I was not.
When I went online and tried to find the transcript of that MEET THE PRESS with Madeline Albright, there was no mention of the Clinton call to Putin, nor, the THIRD WAY.
Therefore, that is a single source. My having seen that program, on that day, and heard what Albright said.
Another single source is when I was watching multi-channel coverage of the attacks on September 11th, 2001. Later in the day, to fill the gaps in information coming from the Tower site, some of the networks began to interview various "officials". One network chose to interview a former FAA high level employee. She happened to mention that the Secretary of Transportation, Norman Mineta, had sent out a memo in July of 2001, a couple months before the attack, stating to all airlines and airports that "DO NOT SINGLE OUT PERSONS OF MIDDLE EASTERN APPEARANCE FOR SPECIAL ATTENTION." I thought that odd, since I was unaware of any profiling,or, subjugation of Middle Easterners to harassment, prior to 9/11. I have heard no one, except myself, make reference to the Mineta July Memo, so that would be a single source, the source is myself. As far as I know, that FAA source was not interviewed further, nor, was that source before the white was '9/11 Commission.'
Sometime after 9/11, a talk show host interviewed David Schippers, the attorney who was hired by the GOP to impeach Bill Clinton. During the interview, several times, the host asked Schippers who he thought was behind 9/11. Each time, Schippers declined to comment. Finally, after telling of NYC FBI agents started coming to his door in Chicago, telling him of their belief that there would be a terrorist attack on Manhattan, and that when they told their superiors, they were harshly told to "shut up and go away," Shippers said that he attempted on numerous ocassions to call Attorney General John Ashcroft, but was never connected to him, nor, did Ashcroft return his calls, even after his staff was told that the call concerned a terrorist attack on NYC. Finally, after repeated attempts to get Schippers to identify who he believed was involved, the host asked Schippers if he thought that persons in and close to the US government were involved in the 9/11 attacks.... Schippers responded..."YES, I DO, BUT THAT IS ALL I AM GOING TO SAY."
Even though, fans of the talk show host were making almost daily transcripts of his broadcast, there is only a partial transcript online of that Schippers interview. The host, mentioned a few days later, that he had been threatened by government sources, would not interview again, etc. I recorded the program on cassette. Unfortunately, I left the cassette in my radio recorder, and recorded over it the next day.
My report on Abu Ghraib, came from a telephone discussion with the Commanding General of Abu Ghraib, General Janis Kapinski.

The U.S (in particular) often makes self-serving insinuations to give sublime impressions that it is in control and higly regarded. I interpret your example (through Albright's words) a way of saying that the the U.S. was "schooling" Putin on world and domestic matters, when in fact Putin was (is) an experinced man of the political world and doesn't give a stuff what America thinks.
A very good example is when Reagan said, "Mr. Gorbatjov tear down this wall." Well! Gorbatjov had already decided to do it long before Reagan opened his Hollowood, script-reading, mouth. Reagan was merely taking an opportunistic chance to take credit for Gorbatjov's good deeds, as if to say that it was the U.S. that bullied Gorbatjov to end the Soviet Union.

Your work here on Topix, and in life, cheers my heart that there are Americans with their eyes and ears open. You must never believe that my hard words against the U.S.(even against American military, etc.) in any way is a statement of anti-American fervour - no matter what the imbeciles say.

As for sources... another single source, because it was never, ever repeated in the US.
Do you remember when Bill Clinton bombed the Chinese embassy in Beograde?
There were "spontaneous" violent demonstrations all over China at US government facilities, consulates, etc.
The US evacuated most of their consulates, and embassy, except for "essential" personnel.
After a couple weeks of rioting, fires, violent protests, etc. The Chinese government made an offer to Bill Clinton.
Clinton was told that the demonstrations would stop, if he would make the case against Chinese spy, Wen Ho Li, would disappear, and that the US would stop thwarting Chinese membership in the WTO.. the World Trade Organization.
The FBI had a rock solid case against Wen Ho Li, for having stolen secrets from his post at the secret lab at Alamogordo, New Mexico.
Suddenly, within a week of the Chinese having contacted Bill Clinton, the the FBi's spy case against Wen Ho Li went to crap, runny, runny, crap. Runny sheit.
Not much later, the US dropped it's opposition to China becoming a World Trade Organization member, and quite suddenly returned to China, as the "spontaneous" demonstrations of anger over the US bombing and killing Chinese in the Chinese embassy in Beograde, came to a sudden halt.
How I know about this, is that Deutch Welle, the government voice of the Netherlands, made the announcement about the offer to Clinton during a shortwave news broadcast, and then, I just followed the events as they unfolded afterwards... the FBI case going crappy, then, WTO membership for China.
Similarly, that the U.S.(and Kennedy) take credit for FORCING Kruschev to back down, eat his words, and run off to whiper with his tail between his legs over the "Cuba Missle Crisis" thing. NOT TRUE.

Kruschev was angered by the American missile sites in Turkey, aimed at Soviet Cities. THAT is why he placed his own missiles on Cuba aimed at U.S. cities.

The whole thing ended NOT by Kennedy getting tough with Kruschev, as I'm sure the American history books have written, but because Kruschev gave Kennedy an ultimatum: Kennedy backed down and remove the American missiles from Turkey ...... so that Kruschev would keep his word and do the same.

Every time that Harry farts, ABC and Dianne Sawyer, get all giddy about it and want to explain to us in the middle section of the nation, how important it was that he farted, that the broad that married one of them is in South Africa touring, or, that she went to the hospital with morning sickness.
None of that crap is news, yet, all three networks put it as their lead story, and ABC and Sawyer are the worst at dragging that meaningless crap around and around as if we should care.
