Vedanta plans to replace its miners with automation machines

Vedanta Resources, London Stock Exchange listed, has announced that by March 2014 it would replace more than 1,500 jobs with automation machines through its subsidiary Konkola Copper in Zambia.http://www.ambriefonlin -plans-to-replace-its-miners-w ith-automation-machines

Sounds like a good business move to me, if I were in the mining industry I'd replace workers with machines whenever I could! They don't complain, they don't get injured or trap during cave-ins, and the machine is much more productive and cost-efficient than a human at menial jobs like that. All these minors should take the chance to get the heck out of that dangerous, dead-end job and get some retraining, and get out into a real career!
