Obama needs to get on his knees and ask forgiveness for all the children he has murdered at the hands of the evil beastly system and his war....and if he is ever going to get the terrorist he needs to start in Washington.

I just watched the Memorial Service...beautiful ceremony. May those who have fallen Rest in Peace. And may all the rest of us, armed forces and civilians, find peace. God Bless the USA.

I did appreciate the President calling each one by name, personalizing their deaths rather than just being one of many.

And Obama's words, "No faith justifies these murderous and craven acts; no just and loving God looks upon them with favor,"...offered some indication that even he believes that it was indeed Hasan's faith that was the catalyst for these murders.

And, that, we can agree upon.

Yes, indeed. Thank you for the reminder about how little Bush cared about anybody but his super-rich buddies.

I firmly believe he will rot in hell for the damage he has done to generations of our soldiers and their families.

I have been following many of these threads on TOPIX about this recent horror at Ft. Hood. I'm surpised and dismayed at so many comments linking our POTUS to this travesty.

Our president Barack Obama was elected President of the United States by popular majority. He achieved this in spite of his color, his name or his religious affiliation. Because of the above named traits he was put under the microscope of scrutiny when entering public service, and he passed every test.

He has only been in office less than a year and has already done many good things.

I remember when JFK was elected to office, so many people cried that we would be taking orders from the Vatican, I see little has changed in the last 60 years.

So, take a good look in the mirror and say "hypocrite".

Yes, he would have and he did before the ceremony, so I'll give him credit for that.

http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/washington/20...

"Last night former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura made a secret visit to the devastated military families at Fort Hood.

"The Bushes instructed the commander of the mourning military base that they wanted no publicity. With their Secret Service detail, Bush and his wife made the 30 mile trip unannounced from their ranch near Crawford, Texas Friday evening.

"Fox News broke news of the visit this afternoon. Other sources said the former first couple spent about two hours meeting with the wounded, family and soldiers, talking quietly and at times hugging them as they did in private at other times of crisis such as post-9/11.

"Most presidents come to feel a genuine respect and affection for the people they lead as commander-in-chief and sometimes the affection is reciprocated.

Many base workers and residents on Fort Hood are still reeling from the shooting this week by Major Nidal Malik Hasan that killed 13 people and wounded dozens of others.(See video below.)

"The White House announced today the Obamas plan to attend a memorial service there on Tuesday. Some foreign news reporters have begun to write unflattering comparisons of the emotional Bush vs the ever-cool, possibly cold Obama."
