I think the House has a better idea than the Senate. Two thing will come out of the House version, (1) the cost would be shared and (2) the illegals could be ID as they come in and pay their fare share. The Senate version would only make us look bad in a world that is already looking at us with discust, from george bush's world policy's. It would also keep illegal in hiding and harder to keep an eye on them.

USU Today has obviously been bribed by Big Business into supporting illegals. These criminals deserve nothing but deportation.

A few observations:

1) It's irrational to believe that illegal aliens will actually purchase health insurance.

2) "Cost sharing" is a euphemism for "medicare is bankrupt and we need more money."

3) Since the only way illegal aliens could participate is by giving them amnesty, this is just a not so subtle call to do just that.

4) Illegal aliens are arrogant, selfish thieves who steal, among other things, American jobs, American taxpayer money and the place in line of those who want to enter the country legally.

So, it is easier to work on giving illegals health care than to inforce laws to send them all back home??? These people are criminals!! They do not have the same rights as American citizens.

They already get health care for free. Just stroll into any ER and see who's lined up for treatment of anything from an ingrown toe nail to a gunshot wound.

Thank congress for that. 20 years ago they passed the EMTALA law which aid ERs have to treat illegals for free no questions asked.

“H.R. 3962 provides that an individual (or a husband and wife in the case of a joint return) who does not, at any time during the taxable year, maintain acceptable health insurance coverage for himself or herself and each of his or her qualifying children is subject to an additional tax.”

“If the government determines that the taxpayer’s unpaid tax liability results from willful behavior, the following penalties could apply…”

Criminal penalties

Prosecution is authorized under the Code for a variety of offenses. Depending on the level of the noncompliance, the following penalties could apply to an individual:

• Section 7203 – misdemeanor willful failure to pay is punishable by a fine of up to $25,000 and/or imprisonment of up to one year.

• Section 7201 – felony willful evasion is punishable by a fine of up to $250,000 and/or imprisonment of up to five years.”[page 3]

its okay dude, as long as you don't lose your job, you'll be fine! Oh oops, the adminstration has caused 10% of the country to lose their jobs, and that's balanced out. With the people getting hired also, we can estimate that at least 15% of the coutry lost their job in the last year.

or you can get on the government plan, and pay tons of money for inadequate healthcare.

So you're covered. The government knows how to take care of you better than you do. Just sit down and watch tv or something, they got this under control.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Leo

Perhaps it's the fact that it's Christmas Eve and everyone is busy, but you can't help feeling that you're walking on eggshells around certain people. Their emotions are very close to the surface and could erupt at a moment's notice, perhaps in a storm of tears or a fit of pique. Calm them down and ask if you can do anything to help.
