democrats paid no tax on gas

Saw this on Glen Beck tonight. For some reason, not seeing much media coverage -imagine that.
The democratic national convention in Denver filled up their tanks at tax free pumps. I think the dollar value was $9700.00
Since they have been found out they have now agreed to return the taxes owed.
This from the party who feels that giving us a tax free holiday would not make much difference. I guess it only makes a difference if its them and they dont get caught!
Glenn Beck usually replays a few times a night. Try to watch it or go to his website - there may be something on there about it. He was outraged as we all should be!

When the Republicans do the same at their convention, where will you be? Ignoring it more than likely, just like Mr. Beck.

By the way, investigate why it is that all politicians, ALL of them, on Capitol Hill have been getting their gas at HALF what you pay for decades.

Then go blame the Democrats some more because you're the kind of sheep Republicans just love to lie to.

Hello McFly, the convention is still a month away. Does Glen Beck have a magical crystal ball that he saw this happen in, or are you just too dumb to realize you are talking in the past tense?

And a gas tax holiday (like offshore drilling) is a cheap gimmick to keep voters content till election day. Alternate sources of energy should be your concern, not saving eights cents a gallon this summer.

No, you are wrong. Sheep I am not. I dont trust either party. I'm just tired of hearing that the repubs are all to blame when the dems are right there with them.
I would like the media to give the same air time to independents and the constitution party then maybe we would all know more. And to be honest, I am so much Not a sheep that I probably wouldnt trust them either.

I'm not sure what they were exactly doing in Denver but it was reported and they have agreed to pay it back. I'm smart enough to know I'm not talking in the past tense - would it be future tense??
I do realize the gas tax holiday wont amount to that much, but if they think its good enough for them it should be good enough for us. Just as they ALL keep getting raises while we stagnate.

Yes, you were talking in the past tense. Because you said the convention already took place (which obviously it didn't) based on your inability to understand this I really question the content of the rest of what you are saying. I don't know what Glen Beck was talking about and don't really care. Big oil CEO's make in the neighborhood of 50k an HOUR! Do you realize that? And you are worried about democrats getting a couple cents off per gallon? Why don't you tell your republican masters to regulate big oil profits? And to seek out alternate methods of power instead of worrying about paying 3.75 instead of 3.85 for a three months.

We are in trouble, 1 in 4 factor jobs as been outsourced since Bush took the reigns of this country.

McCain admits knowing next to nothing about the economy. And the American voter is worried about a group of politicians getting ten cents off their gas for a weekend?

I guess the saying is true, "people get the government they deserve." Ours is clearly crap, and it isn't hard to figure out why.
