Question....
How is Coke cheaper at the convenience store than water?
It's less fashionable these days.
Every time I see some one buying bottled water, I ask them why they don't install a good filtre. Re-use the bottles. Better for you, better for me and the enviroment.
Guess what? spell check disagrees with Websters.
And do turkeys really gobble? Or is that term used for what we'll be doing tomorrow? I prefer wolfish.
Enjoy everyone.

Yes,turkeys really do "gobble". It ranges from a long strangled gargle to a short series of true "gobbles".Wild turkey toms pretty much limit gobbling to the spring mating season. Domestic birds will do so thru the year, like crowing roosters. Scarf would be a more apt description....

This Thanksgiving, we're going to celebrate by inviting a street person to share our family's meal. Afterwards, we plan to distribute several bottles of inexpensive, but lovely, vino, each wrapped in a $5 bill, among some of the homeless folks in various corners of our neighborhood.

Spread the Love!!!!!

That's nice of you, am I correct to assume that not corkscrew will be required?

Yaaaay too. Topping the news here now is all the 'friday' shoppers.
Sad that just because some one said "Buy now, buy now.."
tehy all run out and do it.
If I wish to give a gift, for any reason, it will be because I so wish it. Not because it happens to be some time of the year.

Yeah - caps not corks, on the cheap stuff...

We had a blast, and the faces on the folks were priceless. Probably do it again at Christmas.

Glad you[and they]enjoyed the moment. Still I am sorry to report the image of winos' slurping up the wine and buying smokes.

We have a homeless family living in the woods nearby. I don't know how they do it with a child. Anyway I stopped by to give them some new blankets and pillows. They're doing okay,or as good as can be expected.

Some people I will never understand. My neighbors friend won a lottery. So he doesn't want to pay taxes, right. Pulling down 478K a year he buys land. That he has to pay taxes on. why not fill a food bank instead? I sure would.

Are you sure? Or could it be a euphanism for the sound? I mean do turkeys think they're gobbleing? Or something else. They may just have trouble crowing. I raised some Cornish crosses once and these large chickens couldn't crow either, instead they made a sound like something from Jurassic park. Size is everything I guess.
Anyway we all have something to crow about now and then. But personally, I would not eat like a bird, I'd rather gobble it up.
Rather wolfish, to be sure. But, not to be confused with the Wolf fish. Whose appetite I hear is also rather voracious.

Me too.

But I'd also buy a chunk of land, I'm not gonna lie. It's a lifelong dream of mine to own and occupy a tiny 2-room log cabin in the woods, with solar power, a meadow for gardening, and my own clean crick for potables. Sounds like heaven.

Ahh, well. Giving isn't about what we want people to have, it's about them getting what they want.
JMO.

Maybe for Christmas, it'll be blankets and pillows, but we had so much fun with the wine...and they were so happy to get it!!

Morning all, I hope everyone had a better Thanksgiving than I did.
I'm not going to get into it, but let's say my family kinda irked me more than a little.
