This story is misleading and dishonest. Getting an e-mail to say that the storm could possibly cause more damage than some projected results is not "detailed warnings" since no one could predict where the storm would hit and the actual results. This wwas all speculation. The real criticism for the failure in new Orleans falls squarely on the local official who knew that hundreds of thousands of citizen could not be evacuated before the storm and the levees were a huge risk. They had a whole year to improve the evacuation plans and programs since there was a dry run a year before Katrina in New Orleans. The hurricane missed New Orleans but it revealed the city was not prepared at all for a disaster and a flood. The Governor and Mayor did nothing to improve the plan or the situation. Some unspecifed e-mail warning to the White House hours before the storm is in some way news? I say it is just more of the same liberal and DFL scheme to try and undermine The President in any way they can. Mike Kasun

Why are intelligent people obsessed with "finding the dirt"? Don't they have anything more to offer or better to do with their time? Perhaps, maybe, volunteer?(It's only a suggestion...a mere hint...guaranteed, to yield a positive outcome.) Whether you are a "flaming liberal" or an "uptight right radical", what purpose does it serve to blame or to aid in creating a media witch hunt.(Time, Energy and money wasted.)

In summary, actions speak volumes. Truth always perseveres, even if you don't want to believe it.

When there are witches, they need to be hunted. The danger now is that many people are already entertaining erroneous thoughts that the federal government has the primary responsibility for disaster response. The local and state governmnents must always maintain primary responsibility and expect no help from the federal goveernment. The people must also take personal responsibility for them selves and the actions of their elected local leaders.

The "flaming liberals" with their nonstop political posturing and outrageous lies are dooming millions to death and suffering in the future. The worst thing is that many of them know that and don't care.
