Legalize Marijuana

I think Marijuana should be legalized here's why

1)stop people from going to illegal sources to get it
2)Medicinal benefits for patients who need it
3)won't waste tax dollars fighting war on drugs, and prosecuting drug offences, and locking people up
4)Can create tourism industry like Amsterdam. Can make money for economy, instead of taking money from our economy
5)will stop drug dealers from dealing Marijuana and reduce drug related crime.(Why would you sell marijuana as a drug dealer if it is available on market? It wouldn't be profitable to do so, and no body would go to an illegal source if it is legal. Also will reduce crime, if dealers can't sell can't fight and compete with one another)
6)Will reduce problem of illegal grow operations, and take away from those stealing hydro to grow. Who would buy Marijuana from a grow operation if they could grow thier own, or purchase it themselves safely and affordably.
7) Legalization won't make it more readily available. Right now it is illegal and people still consume and purchase it. Only people who want to consume and purchase it will. Legalization will also introduce ages so that minors can not buy it.(Remember minors are currently buying it now)
8) The industry would be regulated at least it would reduce people adding other things into thier marjuana. So safe supply would be available.

Sounds like you have a good heart, but you need to do a lot more research on your subject for it is laced with inaccurate observations.

Better than that, just move to California with all the other drug addicts and hope an earthquake don't shake you to reality.

It's happening. More and more states are making it no crime or at worst a misdemeanor to possess an ounce or less.

As we get more moderate government, things will continue to get better.

I can only think of a few negative consequences of legalization.
1) it will send the wrong message to kids (but kids are smoking it now when they know its illegal and wrong, so how is that gonna change)
2)It will increase marijuana exports to the USA (but thats already going on now, and its illegal.) I think it could be regulated by the government to control the quantity similar to alchol.

If you look at Amsterdam where Marijuana is legal, they actually have less drug addicts per capita than Canada or America, and it is legal there. This is a true statistics, apparently the teen population in Amsterdam is well educated about drugs and drug use and consumption is lower there than it is here. so I dont know I think the benefits outweight the disadvantages
