It's pretty simple really. You can't shoot someone if you don't have a gun.

That is true"You can't shoot someone if you don't have a gun". What is mot simple is removing guns. The same people that will break the law and shoot someone will also break the law and have a gun. When someone decides to kill they will find a method guns or not. The little word "simple" is the biggest problem with your thought.

Exactly.

I made the same statement earlier and some Bonzo said that you can shoot someone with a bow and arrow.

I'm sure that is not the main issue.

How about we put the word "simple" into other terms?

"Killing someone with a gun is too simple." That might be the real issue. You can kill someone with your bare hands but hands don't fall off the shelf, "go off" and kill someone by mistake. Nor are they very often dangerous in the proximity of careless children or used in mass killings.

<quoted text>Yes it is very much the issue. They will kill if that is their intention. The Colorado killing and the Connecticut killing were not accidents but calculated acts by two mentally unstable but very intelligent young men. In Colorado the killer bobby trapped his apartment with bombs also. What if there were no guns available and a bomb was set off in the theater on a crowded opening night? Both killers possessed the intelligence to use bombs or chemicals. What if deadly gas was released in the theater? I think gun ban advocates are looking for a simple solution and missing the real problem. There are already over 2000 simple solutions on the books today.

Have you confused the intentional murder of someone with a firearm with the accidental killings that happens with firearms and everything else under the sun. I am sure when it comes to accidental killings guns are in a very small percentage. I would even venture to say there are more children killed by accident with bare hands of adults who lost control of their temper while handling a child. I hear of it all the time, they never intend to do it but in a second of rage it happens. They never have any idea they will kill the child until it is to late. It is very hard to talk rationally with gun control advocates because they never look directly at the problem but are blinded by their hate for guns. I understand their disdain for guns but they miss the reality of the situation. So nothing ever gets done about the problem.

Good Point!
That's why I keep mine loaded and ready.

When you need a gun, it's too late to buy one.
Think about it.

I'm sorry, but I most strongly disagree. We simply cannot allow our educational institutions to become armed encampments. This is a sad state of afairs, the U.S was founded on the muzzle of a gun, but it has gotten out of control.

When I was in the hospital, there was a scratching
of Jesus holding a staff on the wooden door.
The staff was sharp like an arrowhead.
Like he was telling me to fight. He is a warrior.
In Luke it says that Simon carried the cross for
Jesus walking behind him.

If the Indians had made friends with the white man, things would have been different. Love is a divine and natural law.
Peter denied Jesus three times. Jesus had told Peter that he would deny him. He told his apostles that one of them would betray him. Judas betrayed Jesus and turned him
in for coins. Judas hung himself after they arrested Jesus.
Jesus was whipped. They nailed him to the cross with two other
men that were thieves. Jesus promised one of the thieves that he
would be with him in glory because that man believed in him.

I guess you must be talking about Oslo - the capitol of Sweden?
Build some schools America. Employ some good European teachers and professors. Educate your people. End the censorship on the international media. Introduce DEMOCRACY to the United States of America and set your people free. Tear down your wall of stupidity.
Oslo is the capital of Norway.
We have schools. They are so busy. What wall? The US is a democracy. Our people are free.

You forgot to mention the curator, the bus driver, the parents, the kids, and the mascot. Why hell, you may as well erect an electric fence with land mines round all of the schools, shopping centres, cinemas, churches, post offices, factories, convenience stores, petrol stations, Toys R Us, the Pancake House, Dunkin' Donuts, railway stations, the hair dressers, the shoe maker, public toilets and particularly the recruiting office.

But there is an alternative: Give your population and education & emloyment with wages above minimum standard ....... and outlaw guns.

If you belive the root cause of the Newtown shooting was our piss poor mental heath care and not "The evil assault rifle" please follow this link by Ruger and send a letter to your specific legislators. It is quick and easy and Ruger will not keep your information.
