Is this a good time to stop eating seafood from the Pacific Ocean? And eventually, planet-wide? sea mammals in Alaska and elsewhere showing up and dying with beta [radiation] burns evident on their skin, could this be a cause for all those dead dolphins that recently washed ashore? In the alarmingly high mortality rate for seal pups in California?

Don't think it was safe before Fukushima! It was never a good idea to eat seafood from the oceans. They are the dumping grounds of the World. Plant, animal, human and even the planet's wastes and poisons end up in the oceans. Next time you want seafood think about that before you order crab legs or anything else from the sea.
