Like anyone does not know that it happens when they are hired and someone is holding a gun to their head making them stayed employed there. People are in there drinking a beverage one molecule off being rubbing alcohol....

Don't get me wrong, there is alot of other things that does cause it; like medicines, yeah, that's right, there is an antibiotic that can cause cancer tumors in ones womb! I know, I was put on it, and had cancer there twice before I lost that part of my body. I'll also had skin cancer. I'm a survivor, and I'll keep on living as long as the good Lord lets me. My dad didn't smoke, yet he died from second hand smoke from playing music with those that did smoke. It's worst that pot. It should be banned. I dare you to dig up ONE STUDY that directly links nicotine to cancer. A STUDY, not someone else's summary of something they'll make you think th ey read, but a STUDY. Also one for the second hand smoke. I dare you. Sorry to hear about your father but how did they tie that (whatever it was)directly to second hand smoke?

He didn't Hllslander, the doctors did, when he died. They did test of his lungs, exrays, they took fluid from within his lungs and tested that too. He died because of years of playing music around others that smoked.

I said before, why not have restaurants, bars for smokers and non smokers? An owner decides what type is wanted, smokeing or non smoking establishment, advertises as such, then all are satisfied.I am against smoking. Also I believe if a person wants to smoke, that is their right. My brother and sister in law smoke, now they smoke only outside their own home. Why?They have 8 cats. All were suffering from lung difficulties, the vet said it's their smoking. Now they both go outside to smoke. Therefore, babies and young children with small lungs are taking in almost as much smoke as adult lungs.

I have changed my iD from Mysterious one to Hoffmeister. My grandmothers maiden name.I always liked that name and entertained the idea of changing my last name to Hoffmeister,I always was proud of my German heritage.I'm not fully German, just a preference to that culture.I always annonce my change in poster ID.This way,no one can claim I use other alternative names.I use only one at a time.Someone has asked me why I post under other name changes.I don't.There are those who do.And I say "So what".It's the message placed that matters to me.What's in a name?

There should be smoking and non-smoking bars. Simple as that. The owner make their choice and the customer make their choice. The employee also make their choice; don't like smoke -work somwhere else.

A business owner tries to tailor their business in a way that will support an income to live on. Non smokers can support the non smoking places and smokers can support the smoking places. The owner can decide which way will best enable a successful business. As for employees: many jobs have risks=if you do not wish to participate in the risk then go to a less risky position. I can understand the desire to mandate a lifestyle change and smoking is harmful, but not at the expense of hurting the business owner' choice on how to best run their business. Resturants here are non smoking and they are opening up every day. You can hardly get in one!!They are certainly not loseing business and neither are the bars...Just goes to show you...it can and should be done. And planes are pretty full as well!

It doesn't matter if they have a section for smokers and non smokers for me in any place. If one smokes anywhere near me, I get these god awful headaches that can make you want to blow out your brains. People needs to realize that there are people out there that are allergic to cigarettes and the smoke from one.......

Here in Chicago, quite a few smaller bars are ignoring the five month old ban to keep their customers. Just like the days of prohibition, "smokeasys" are becoming popular. The local cops are getting frustrated with larger crowds outside the bars that comply with the ban now that warmer weather is approaching. They prefer to see the people inside, off the streets. Real crime is an issue in many areas.

According to all these "studies", anyone in their 50s and up should have all died many years ago. As kids, we all went to smoke filled theatres, train stations, trains, planes, ect. and were issued non filtered cigarettes (easier to field strip) in the military when we got drafted. Some high schools even had "student smoking lounges" to keep the bathrooms from getting too congested.
