mikehuntusa wrote: The quotes below are from Obama's book, "Dreams of My Father": Although Obama spent various portions of his youth living with his white maternal grandfather and Indonesian stepfather, he vowed that he would "never emulate white men and brown men whose fates didn't speak to my own. It was into my father’s image, the black man, son of Africa, that I’d packed all the attributes I sought in myself, the attributes of Martin and Malcolm, DuBois and Mandela." This is from "Audacity of Hope": "There were enough of us on campus to constitute a tribe, and when it came to hanging out many of us chose to function like a tribe, staying close together, traveling in packs," he wrote. "It remained necessary to prove which side you were on, to show your loyalty to the black masses, to strike out and name names." From "Dreams": "The emotion between the races could never be pure,”“Even love was tarnished by the desire to find in the other some element that was missing in ourselves. Whether we sought out our demons or salvation, the other race would always remain just that: menacing, alien, and apart." "There was something about him that made me wary,” Obama wrote. "A little too sure of himself, maybe. And white" apparently moncie thinks this type of thing is okay. i don't think it's okay from any candidate to say such things. i don't want a bigot for my president, sorry. Geez, you're in worse shape than I thought. Please explain what is wrong, in your opinion, with the alleged quote from Dreams of My Father. All I see is that he will not emulate any man whose values don't match his own. He did say white or brown. Did you catch that? And from Audacity of Hope and Dreams? What the problem there? Please explain in your own words what is wrong with these alleged quotes. I say alleged, because you really should provide a link to the source so that people can read for themselves. Lastly, I think you need to look up the definition of bigot. You are the bigot here.

mikehuntusa wrote: Obama's bill S2433 would require the U.S. to initially direct .7 percent of our GNP into the United Nations coffers for distribution as they see fit, for "food" to third world nations. Under earlier agreements this would evolve into a national tax on the U.S. with the UN attempting to levy this on all first world nations. The U.N. would have the power to increase this rate of taxation. The U.S. would be required to surrender some of its sovereignty over foreign aid by putting it under UN control. The bill would force the U.S. to sign onto the U.N.'s Millennium Declaration, which would commit us not only to "banning small arms and light weapons" but also to adhere to the International Criminal Court Treaty and the Kyoto Protocol. there's what i was referring to as one reason we shouldn't be voting for this moron. meant to paste that in the last ranting. sorry. S2433 is an Obamanation!!! This is no time to INCREASE the SPRAYING of America's limited resources around the world. It is NAFTA squared!! This bill sponsered by the illustrious senator from Illinois reveals his true nutty politics. What is UNKNOWN is John McCain's position on the bill. It would not surprise me if he was for it .

You don't have the foggiest freakin' idea of what Obama is about. All you know is how to be a sheep and follow the herd and vote for the dumb a**es who've gotten us into the mess in the first place! No candidate represents everyone's interest genius. That's why we vote. That's why we have a CHOICE! Get it? BTW, I am not the one who is rambling. I've asked you to address specific points, but you apparently can't do it. Just admit it and move on. i'm not here to answer your challenge tard, and i'm not interested in arguing with you over the issues. it's clear we don't agree about them, which is why i am not voting for the racist liberal probable muslim douche named obama who wants to get us involved in losing sovereignty, giving up our gun rights little by little, etc. you want to appease white guilt and vote for the black man who is not good for this country that's fine, but thank God some of us are voting based on something other than kuumbaya and we are the world.

more quotes from obama: Obama's "Dreams of My Father": "I ceased to advertise my mother's race at the age of 12 or 13, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites," "I found solace in a sense of grievance and animosity against my mother's race," "That hate hadn't gone away, blaming white people," "The person who made me proudest of all, though, was [half brother] Roy .. He converted to Islam." "In Indonesia, I had spent two years at a Muslim school, I studied the Koran.." i will not vote for this man. being black or mixed just isn't enough to make me want to vote for him. i don't want the kind of change he hopes for.

None of the above! sup wrote: <quoted text>Why is Obama better than Hillary in your opinion? They stand for basically the same things. I bet it's because he is black and young and charismatic. I believe you are incorrect. More of my thoughts continued from post # 31. Second, there are a whole lot of people who have no interest in seeing an impeached President in the White House or an impeached President in the Vice President’s House. Third, there are a whole lot of people who have no interest in seeing someone who committed adultery in the White House return to the White House or move into to the Vice President’s House. Forth, I have not seen any evidence that people are voting for Obama as opposed to voting for Obama in order to vote against Hillary and get rid of her.

Why are some Whites (and some people of other races) going to vote for Obama? Because they think he's the best of the current candidates.

BTW, if you put any faith in those ridiculous little icons over the posts, you truly are a moron. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if your judging your own posts.

People vote based on how it affects their wallet. Unfortunately.

I know why I'm supporting him, and at this point I'm sure as hell not sharing those reasons with you. Why don't you just assume the typical "lib" beliefs.
