Well, for starters, wiretapping US citizens without a warrent is illegal...
Maybe, maybe not. The appeals courts said he does if it is for Foreign Intelligence pourposes. It just hasn't gone to the Supreme Court yet.

Ah, too bad that being unpopular is not an impeachable offense. Or maybe we could have a recall vote like California did.

Actually, I don't support either of these. They would lead to real political chaos. And as much as I dislike Bush, such chaos is too high a price to get rid of even him.

Polls are BOGUS Anway. I dont want our leaders, Dem or Rep to stick finger in wind when making decision to base his decision on the CURRENT POLLS! Media's way of waggin the dog..... Boring.
I take a more middle of the road stance on this. On some issues, finding out what the people want is a good thing. On others, such as weaning us off of gasoline, we need real leadership to make a decisive move. Depends on the issue.

Think that this suprise visit to Afghanistan by President Bush will help increase the positive rating for this man?

KABUL, Afghanistan (CNN)-- U.S. President George W. Bush made a surprise visit to Afghanistan on Wednesday, his first to the country where U.S. forces ousted the Taliban following the September 11 terrorist attacks.

How about lying about 9/11, lying about Iraq, vote fraud, corruption, manipulation, theft of the public wealth, violating the Constitution with Patriot Act measures, war crimes, crimes against humanity, cronyism, insider trading, drug use, illegal manipulation of the media, etc, etc, etc.

Yeah, I guess you are right. He should get the CHAIR!

I am trying to spread some information I am extremely concerned about but which most people seem to be ignorant of at the moment – if you are also concerned, send this to the world and discuss it with people you meet.

Did you know the US government recently passed a law giving itself the ability to strip citizens of their US citizenship and deport them? Once, a US citizen had protection against this – the Supreme Court ruled the US government could NEVER take away citizenship. A person had to voluntarily state they wanted to relinquish their citizenship. Now, however, the Domestic Security Enhancement Act says a person shows an intention to give up citizenship if they “become a member of, or give material support to, a group that the United States has designated as a terrorist organisation” Read that very carefully: the group doesn’t have to BE a terrorist group, just has to be designated as one. The penalty is arrest, jail and potentially deportation. While of course Al Qaeda and Jemaah Islamiyah have been designated terrorist organisations, did you know People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals has been? That Greenpeace is under investigation for designation? Think about what it means to lose your US citizenship if you have no other: no passport, no right or ability to enter another country, can’t purchase property because you have no ID, no bank account. Now imagine this can happen because you donated money to PETA and the Government finds you inconvenient. Does this worry you as much as it does me?

Did you know that Halliburton subsidiary KBR recently got an approx US$248million contract to build “processing and detention facilities” in America. KBR is the company that built detention centres in Iraq – at about $8million per jail. At that cost they can build almost another 50, right in heartland of the USA. Each with an expected surge capacity of 4000 people/jail. The stated purpose? To aid in an “immigration emergency” a “natural disaster” or, my favourite “in the rapid development of new programs”. What sort of program could the Bush government possibly develop that needs the RAPID capacity to jail 200,000 people? That’s the population of a small city. Does this worry you as much as me???

I don’t expect people to change a personal opinion of George Bush Jnr, but I beg those of you in America to save your country, a place I called home for some years and once really loved. Never in the country’s history has it a Government that had so little money, such large debt, so little international support or credibility and has shown a clear desire to pass laws victimising the American people. Of course many of you will never be in danger of the Bush administration, but what about those to come? Can you be sure the dangerous powers the Bush regime is putting in place won’t one day be in the hands of someone who doesn’t like you or worse, your children? Please spread this and PLEASE act – please VOTE - to save what still can be a great nation.

It might of at one time unfortunately he did not know when to stop and regroup. His reach exceeded his grasp. Doesn't play well with others either.

Afghanistan was and is a totally justified operation and when directly attacked we responded in the only way possible. It is after that that I believe bad decisions were made that compromise success both in Afghanistan and Iraq.

To read about all this is heartbreaking. A country I call home. Would love to move back..but with all thats going on there. I won't move back. I see news articles that the USA may attack Iran now. Guantánamo Bay base is a illegal detention center. Where people are being held without a trail. The Patriot Act and the list goes on and on. The President is using is so called faith for manipulation of the American people. The President of the United States loves war, while the Vice President shots some one.
In the history of the USA has this never happened with any other Presidents or Vice Presidents?

Attack Iran ? Oh no, another bombastic decision in making ? I don´t believe it. Too many possibilities of nuclear threat spread around the country. Those words are spoken, while Rice excersises in the gym.

Bushky said insurgents were trying to ignite a civil war by escalating the violence. I thought that was his policies that started civil war already ?
Some shootin from the hip...?
I wish I could tell you that the violence is waning and that the road ahead will be smooth, Bushky.
There will be more tough fighting and more days of struggle, and we will see more images of chaos and carnage in the days and months to come. Bushky.
No kidding Mr, Pres.?
U.S. program " endangered human rights " sponsored by American agents ?
The workshops, conducted by groups based in the US, were held last April, but Iranian investigators did not summon the participants until last month, about the time the Bush administration announced plans to spend $85 million "to support the cause of freedom in Iran this year."
Those at Exxon must be very greedy, not enough profits from last year ?

GW was handed the presidency on a silver platter and took FULL advantage of the oppurtunity. Approval ratings don't matter. As long as his bank lets him write checks and withdrawl money that's all the approval GW wants or needs.
