I posted this on the Catholic thread. Not too much response. I personally think it is a very important point for everyone interested in what true Christianity is all about to consider.

Now the pope refused to go along with the emperor and went into hiding for awhile. He was eventually caught and arrested.

Some of the cardinals went along with the Emperor and of course once the formal edict was put in place mandating death for those who continued to accept reincarnation more and more clergy followed their example.

Now I was just wondering, who do you think was right? The Pope or the Emperor?

Isn't the Pope the only spokesperson for GOD on the entire planet?

I will list here some of the other urls I found to help support the historical fact of the acceptance of reincarnation by the early Christians:

(this one explains a lot about the political reasons why Emperor Justinian overrode the Pope)

(this site discusses reincarnation in early Christianity and how it fits certain scriptures much more logically. Well written!)

( this site goes into more detail on Origen who was instrumental in the teaching of reincarnation and also the politics that led to Origen being labeled an heretic.)

Here is the thread on the Roman Catholic forum:

When we consider reincarnation in conjunction with early Christianity the sayings of the historical Jesus become much clearer.

We all need to get informed as to the evil nature of the Roman hoax of Christianity and it's many derivatives that deny the Jewish GOD and the Jewish Jesus and get involved in restoring true Christianity based on the OMNIPRESENT GOD of Israel to humanity that is even now being found to be in accord with the latest scientific findings concerning the nature of the Cosmos!

GOD is LOVE. WE are ALL ONE WITH GOD, even the unloving!

I found this site today on reincarnation in Judaism"

http://www.aish.com/jl/l/a/48943926.html

The article pointed out this scripture which seems to be speaking of reincarnation.

Job 33:29 :

"Behold, all these things does God do -- twice, even three times with a man -- to bring his soul back from the pit that he may be enlightened with the light of the living."

Reincarnation certainly makes a lot more sense than what is taught today in most patriarchal hierarchical Christian churches.

And if it was commonly accepted by the early Christians who, including Jesus, were all Jewish, we should ask ourselves why was it outlawed by a Roman emperor in the sixth century over the objections of the Pope?
