I was stationed with the 100th MP Detachment in Fischbach in 1971 & 1972. The detachment was in charge of security procedures and deployment of Sentry Dogs at the depot. We lived on the 3rd floor
of the 64 ord. barracks. Before I left Fischbach,
the new movie theater broke ground. I believethe new construction was between the mess hall and the 165 th MP Co. There used to be a sign located near the mailroom advertising the 165 as Stalag 165.
I was there from April '82 to June '75.

Well two years late but yes I was the 1SG at HHC 197th then took the 64th as 1SG. Made the SGM's Academy list then hung it up. Had another career with Northrop Grumman and retired in 2008. But still pumped up and built UAV's with the Israeli's for three years. Kind of like Nukes very personal but no kiss before you stick em hard ! All you Bach guys and gals are the best Soldiers in the world even if CSM Marlow hated us all. Friggin Cannon Cocker :)

I started at the 193rd as a Cook and remember getting bombarded by snowballs from the barracks rooftops as I Brought the CQ their bag lunches at the end of the day. Spent my 18th Bday at the castle across the street.

Looking for someone to help me out here. I handled Little Elton in the kennels, from Mar78 to Sep80. I went to BNCOC in '86 and part of the curriculum was a discussion of a court case...Kastner v. US. It was important enough to be a speaking point at a service school, but I can't find reference to it anywhere on the interwebs. If this rings any bells, get hold of me. I think a bunch of us need to talk.

If you mean Mike Kastner, and the doghandlers who broke into the bunker at the 'bach, what is there to discuss? The week of being interrogated by CID? The polys on innocent soldiers who had nothing to do with it?

Was in the 165th from '75-'78. Does anyone know what became of Danny Burke? He was married to a young lady from Ludwiswinkel with a very nice family. His good buddy Jim Daley went on to a succesful career as a US Marshall.

And I thought Kastner's first name was Mark, but that was a lot of crushed grape soda cans ago. The 1SG was Kenneth Kinney?
