He can't get it through his head, he isn't president any more. He likes sticking his nose in where he isn't needed.

The meddling he is doing now should not be tolerated by the Government. He has no policy making authority nor does he speak for any recognized member of the current Administration. In his talks with Hamas he could set back real talks between concerned parties for months if not years. This is looking more and more like a self grandizing opportunity by Carter to reclaim past failures from his time in office.
