Until the Muslim community starts to openly condem terrorist attacks there will be very trust for any of them in this country.

Find out why many Muslims ultimately leave Islam.
While a motive remains unclear, the confirmation of Hasan's faith alone prompted major Muslim groups and mosques to issue statements condemning the killings as contrary to Islam and praising the service of the many Muslim Americans in the U.S. military.
LOL!!! What a meathead!

You MUST start asking somebody to read the articles to you before you open your mouth and make a fool of yourself.

It's their country too. Every bit as much as it's yours and mine.

You better be nicer, otherwise citizens might decide it's YOU they don't want here.

Check the article, you'll find condemnation.

Maybe there needs to be a Muslim Al Sharpton to blanket the news and make headlines...

???

You said the Muslim community needed to condemn terrorism. I pointed out the article mentions Muslim leaders hve condemned terrorism. Now you've "moved the goalpost" and say Muslim leaders "...needs to...start doing something."

I'll let that slide, but I'm curious: Just 'who' needs to do 'what'? Leaders condemn terrorism already. Is there something more?

A website run by radical Muslims today honored Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan, the man accused of killing 13 people at Fort Hood in Texas, as an "Officer and a Gentleman," saying his actions should not be denounced.

We must hold radical islam accountable for their deeds?

Heck, I can find web sites in praise of Hitler, in praise of abortion clinic bombers, in praise of Captain Calley, in praise of (I know you won't believe this but it's true) George Bush. What's the harm of a little praise. You don't have to agree with it just because it's on the web, do you?

They condemned it. All your denial proves is your bigotry and prejudice transcends any one group. That's a pity.

In your narrow, dim box, with high walls and muffled sound, you're not able to see or hear the vast denunciation of the tiny minority of deluded, fanatic idiots who give Islam a bad name from EVERY Islamic body worthy of respect on the planet.
Possibly the blare and glare from FOX Noise is too high for you to hear Reality, as well.

Try taking the ear-plugs out of your nose, the eye-blinkers out of your ears, and the stalks of celery (?????) out of your eyes, and maybe you'll be less ignorant.

Then again, maybe not.......

I read the article. It didn't say much other than a few muslims are upset and condemn the acts. By in large the muslim community and leadership have remained quiet. This needs to change.

I'm a westerner living in a moderate Muslim country and I agree with USMC that radical Muslims need to atone. There is a radical element in this country, but the government (the police and army)literally quell any rally and jails tend to be full afterward. There are politicians that favor a more fundamental form Muslim law, but it is balanced by the influence of the Chinese and Indian communities. America has no such mechanisms to balance the effects of a growing Muslim community; especially those who wish to follow a more fundamental form of Islam.

If I may inquire:

1. Who are you to be deciding on which form of Islam is to be allowed or suppressed and, if you are a Yank, what has become of freedom of religion? No doubt the followers of the forms of Islam that you call radical are as sincere in their beliefs as any American Protestant.

2. Is it that you propose that in the United States when there is a rally or demonstration by people whom you regard as radicals that the police should fill the jails? If you are a Yank what has become of your notions of freedom of speech?

3. You are in favor of repressing what you regard as fundamentalist Islam. Do you favor suppressing fundamentalist Christianity too?

Perhaps you should spell out what restrictions you would favor for regulating religious practices and the free expression of ideas and or the freedom of assembly. Then you might, just to make it clear, where exactly you suppose you got this authority or who is supposed to exercise the authority required to carry out your recommendations.

I crafted up a reply for you but somehow it got lost or censored, so I'll do another for you but a little more mellow this time so it will get by. It wasn't for the language I used - it must have been something else.

If that case those in army should all leave those Asians, Latins, Africans, S.E. Asians, etc., should leave the Military. And, those left in US military are Skin heads, Christian Fundamentalist, Neo-Nazis....
