The circus continues! This would seem to be a very easy case to convict and get life in prison. And, now going after death penalty, it would seem that the case is now better. So, why does state want to go for death: Publicity, and a huge waste of taxpayer monies. Automatic appeals, closer scruitny by applellate courts, etc. Cheaper to keep her in jail for life by millions of dollars. Now, the state attorney who is a double dipper of state monies by drop monies is now going to cost us millions of dollars more. Thanks, Lawson. Keep up the good working living of the gov't and keeping our taxes high.

I AM SHOCKED! I did NOT think that this was gonna happen.
So, I'm guessing the state REALLY has the goods on CMA ,or they are putting the pressure on for a confession about Caylee's death, a possible plea deal, and avoidance of a trial.

See headlines on Mrs. Baden's case Phil Spector was just found guilty of 2nd degree murder. The 1st trial resulted in a hung jury 10 guilty 2 not guilty.

States Attorney is going to seek the death penalty for Casey Anthony due to new aggravated info. learned since Dec. 5th.

Hold on, hold on...

"This is not a death penalty case. We will do whatever is necessary to defend Casey Anthony from the state trying to take her life..."

OK, let me get this straight. This lady MURDERED her little girl and hid the body in a trash bag in the woods and this isn't a death penalty case? A LITTLE GIRL WAS MURDERED BY HER MOTHER! She deserves to burn in hell. Don't waste our tax money paying for her to stay alive for 60+ years, kill her for what she did. Straight up.

...I really hate defense attorneys sometimes, I really really do.

"One of those reasons -- and what he thinks is the most likely in this case -- is that prosecutors are frustrated because Anthony isn't accepting a plea."

I don't know, rather than all of these crazy reasons why they've changed their minds, I'd like to think that it may just be possible that they have some very strong, confirmed evidence, such as, possible finger prints on the tape. We never did hear them exclude Casey from prints on the tape. I'd like to think they just have overwhelming evidence.

I am overjoyed that the state will be seeking the death penalty against this self-serving lying baby killer.....And it is hard to believe that Oprah is giving this family the time of day they are all NUTS and the BIGGEST LOSER & LIARS.

Praise be to God! He lives! Caylee's murderer will meet with mother justice and old sparky for her sadistic, cold, calculated and heinous murder of her little girl. They have something. I'm willing to bet evidence came in that gave the prosecutors something concrete. Casey and her parents have been treating this entire nation as if we are stupid idiots. Who in the world, with the ability to reason, could think, Casey is innocent. Even her parents, when they are forced to face reality, will see so themselves. This bit of news lifts my spirit because in all honesty, I was feeling like the OJ situation was going to be relived.

I don't know law at all, but I really don't think the prosecution put the DP on the table because they're frustrated that she won't take a plea deal. They said in Dec. they didn't have enough evidence to support the DP and didn't want to risk it. I believe in light of the new evidence, (duct tape, DNA on shoes) they haveenough now.

I wonder if they will have a video camera on Casey when they tell her this news? I am relieved that they now feel they have enough evidence to convict her with the DP. I heard it may be decomposition on her shoes. Boycott the Oprah show!
