Many parents have been wrongly charged or had their children taken by the dhs in Macomb County Michigan and I want to either find an existing lawsuit to join or an attorney willing to start this lawsuit for others to join. This is an ongoing problem in Michigan and it amazes me that in this day and time where there is so many children in the system without placements that they continue to take children from good parents that would benefit from services. And with all that big money they pay foster parents, wouldn't it make more sense to help needy families and keep their family unit together?? I'm talking about good families, not abusive ones. Yes, some children do need removal from bad homes, but a lot don't.

I've been unemployed for nearly a full year. I've been blessed with family that have been able to help me with rent and bills, where my odd jobs money has fallen short until recently, I applied for cash assistance 30 days ago today. My case"worker" has done nothing to help matters. Despite numerous phonecalls to this person, I havent received a letter, phone call, anything to inform me of how my case stands. Now comes rent payment time once again, and i've fallen short, my money borrowing resources have been exhausted. I feel as if I have been swept under the rug by "the man", in this case by" the woman" i've never bought into the talk of dhs being a half baked system with abusers at top ranks, until now. I've always been a diehard patriot with beliefs of America being the greatest country on earth, and that will never change. Is anyone listening? How do I go around this lacking individual whom apparently doesnt have time in her busy schedule between her vacation days and personal crisies or lackluster skill as a social worker or whatever this individuals problems may be to get the temporary relief I desperately need? SOS I NEED HELP! [email protected]

It amazes me to see how out right cps/dhs breaches their Article 4; Section 26 (mich. 1963 constitution) legislative delegated duties by way of the operating procedures and administrative rules promulgated by the director of cps/dhs in theur scheme to dupe the federal government of tax payers money by send good parents through the many programs illy ordered to be completed during a reunification procesd in turn breaches our procedural & substantive due process protections under Article 1; section 17 of the mich. Const. Sacrificing families for federal aid is a federal offense and could rise to a criminal/civil RICO claim. Yes I wish to join the lawsuite. As should every other parent or parents that is presently going through a unnecessary cps action.

I recently became ill & started having seizures. Was diagnosed w/Epilepsy & informed by my nuerologist that MI state law states I was unable to drive until seizure free for 6 months. I live in a rural area, no busses or taxi's & little job opportunities. I applied for cash assistance. I started applying in Dec 2011, heard nothing in Dec, January. I called & called & was finally told the case worker I had been calling & leaving messages for was not my case worker. I started calling the new case worker. She was rude, mean and just horrible. I explained my situation how I was sick & diagnosed with Epilepsy & legally was unable to drive. She told me I would get a form telling me I needed to attend a MI Works program. She told me to ignore that & that she would send me a JETS form I needed my Doctor to fill out. He did stating I was unable to drive. I sent it in. Still no calls, no letters. After finally getting through I was told I was denied for not attending the MI Works first program I was told by my case worker not to go to. It was a deliberate act on my nasty case worker. I contacted her boss & the head of that DHS office, no returned calls. I finally contacted the Governors office in Lansing with the problem. Once the Governors office got involved the calls were coming in left & right. It tok me 6 months to get cassh assistance to help me pay my bills.$160 a month. And they are now taking my $240 monthly child support payment. SERIOUSLY. I have worked my entire life since I was 13 years old as a Car Hop at an A&W. This is what help I recieved. This is Michigan, This is our government, this is the ridiculous ass-backwards Department of Human Services. I want to know what can be done to put make the world aware of the tax-payers financial drain on funding this nonsense. Thier taxpayer dollars is not doing very much to help me but instead is funding the paychecks of all those useless lying do nothing employees of the DHS?

I'm glad I'm not a CPS worker. It seems to me these people get blamed for taking children from abusive and neglectful parents. On the other hand if some parent kills their child, CPS workers get blamed for not stopping the child's death. I'm sure all you parents are just wonderful loving people. That is until you starve your little darlings, beat them with extension cords, let your boyfriends (or girlfriends) sexually abuse them, or put there bodies in an unmarked grave in the woods. Oh, then it's not your fault. The CPS worker should have stopped you and sent you to counseling or anger management classes.

Midland is also a big problem with dhs taking children for false accusations. Its wrong that parents have to go through this pain and suffering. For something that that ain't true.the state gave me back two kids but refused to give me the other but the judge the opposing attorney and the so called adoptive mother were going to lunch together now I still don't have my baby since he was five n is now 14 I will fight and tryed but now that I know there's others out there iits a better chance so hopfully others that have been done wrong will come forward

I am going through this ordeal right now in the Oakland County, MI courts. DHS took my daughter who has 4 chronic mental disorders and a learning disability. They accused me of neglecting her mental health care needs! How dare they do this! I have been under Easter Seals services for 5 years now. We do not miss appointments unless my daughter has been hospitalized. Her hospitalizations are due to her mental disorders causing her to explore in a rage so intense people get hurt, she hurts herself or many items in her path get destroyed.

I definitely can use all the support I can because I hold a perfect record of never harming a child in my life. I do not neglect children either, that is in fact the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I was the Director of my own Accredited Preschool for 12 years and I am in the process of obtaining my Social Work degree.

DHS just took my daughter from school. My daughter believes she has been kidnapped and wants her mother very badly. DHS has no idea what she is capable of and they are truly damaging her the longer they keep her in the system. The first place they placed her was in a facility for juvenile offenders. We were told straight out that the State was able to provide mental health treatment and services that we could not provide for our daughter. Why can't the State of Michigan along with the DPS help families stay together by actually doing something themselves. Not providing a sheet of paper with other outside resources. DHS needs to provide the actual program to keep families bonded, building stronger family unity and offering social programs so the families can learn to rebuild communications and start healing.

I recently signed up for cash benefits. I use to get 250 a month in child support. They would only "help" financially if I applied for cash assistance. My caseworker told me that they would take all my child support and I would only get 176 a month in cash. REALLY? But 250 was not making the electric I'm responsible for AND a 300 a month house payment. Now I'm behind in ALL my bills! MI Works did help me a lot I must say. I now have a resume and skills I never knew were needed in the workforce. I felt like I was getting ahead, but only took one step instead of thr five I had thought. How does the state even figure these numbers? I suppose when you have a high paying job and your bills are paid, you don't care about anyone else. Friend of the Court is no better. They blame everything on the state and vice versa. How do I get out of the hole I'm in? I swallowed my pride and asked for help. Now it's cost me more than I had to begin with!

CPS is a cash cow for CPS. They have no interest in helping families. Their only motivation is selling gov. programs for fed funding of the CPS monopoly. They ignore the abuse of minority children untill one is killed. They kidnap blond children from unsuspecting parents on false charges of abuse. Making the loops those parents must jump through to get the kids back impossible tasks. They put the kids into foster care of a select few "approved" by those same CW's who both get a stipend for that foster care. A stipend that would help the parents out of the bind they were in the first place, before CPS got involved to "help". The blond children are easy to adopt out once foster parents have milked them dry or got tired of fighting the parents over visitation. Both the social worker and adoptive parents get praises and a gov. award for adopting /placing a CPS child. Do not fall into the bottomless well of CPS. They will destroy your life and that of your children. They have no remorse or compassion towards you or the healthy united family. You will find very few young CPS case workers in the field or working for the agency more than 2 years out of college. They go in idealized to save children and families then get disillusioned by the corruption and quit if they can not get with the program and figure out how they can make a nice living off of the system of wreaking families.

CPS workers have both Qualified Immunity and Absolute Immunity. It's next to impossible to sue them. They lie, fabricate, invent, evidence all so they can get the Title IVd and Title IVe social security Federal dollars. It's about money. Every year, in the state of Michigan, CPS takes more than 20,000 children. Every Year!!! They return very few. They get more money if the child is special needs, so, in many cases they medicate the children (even if they don't need it). They family courts are also corrupt. The adoption agencies are also corrupt. And, the list goes on and on. CPS cannot be fixed.

I heard Dhs is supposed to give preference to the grandparents... What exactly does that mean "Preference"? Because by the definition I was taught growing up it means give favor to. That never happened in my sons case. His kids were taken from the mom for failure to protect. Because he didn't call CPS when she didn't go to the doctor for prenatal care. He then was told "HE" HAD TO go along with her plea of no contest. He had no legal representation, and he wasn't even 18. He could make no complaints about unfair treatment from the fostercare placement. He could not speak at any hearings to address the court for several months. The foster care worker as always given preference to the foster parent. Visits placement everything. Now their rights have been terminated and they are appealling the decision. I as the grand parent have the room and the means to raise my grandkids. but not assistance from DHS is making it an up hill battle. What can I do to adopt when DHS doesn't agree? Tasha Sr

I have been fighting for my granddaughter for over 2 years now and just for the record, she was taken from her home illegally one night and dragged to a van and taken away. I know because I was there along with my oldest daughter and her cousins. She was never abused nor neglected by her mother nor her father. My only granddaughter has been part of my life since the day she was born. I was fully approved to take my granddaughter. I followed through with everything that was asked of me, home study, paperwork, etc., but they did not follow through with any of the things they were supposed to do. They denied me because I went above the supervisor and called the director. Now they are getting ready to adopt her out . If anyone has went through this, I would love to here from you.

Lawless America went from a documentary to a REVOLUTIONARY movement in about years time. That's a lot of people concerned. CPS took 40 years to become this corrupt. Although Rome wasn't build in a day, WE can fix CPS together.

yes, our family is going through hell! lies are being generated. there have ben delays by dhs. then we are accused of the time lapse. the child in question has been in foster care. the foster mother is trying to adopt. there is a relative who requested custoday of the child on day 1 and was IGNORED for MONTHS, even though that person & the parents of the child keep asking of the status of the paperwork. to adopt they must terminate the parents rights. so lies continue. we have changed attorneys. this one seems hopeful (?). YES i am interested in joining others in this fight against dhs, if it is still going on! PLEASE GIVE ME A CONTACT NUMBER!

My research on this topic reveals this misuse / abuse of power by DHS / CPS has been going on for a LONG time. The courts know. The lawyers know. Some of the public knows. My question: THEN WHY OH WHY DOES THIS CONTINUE?! I am sure money is a primary factor, that includes major bucks paid to lawyers to fight for the parents rights. Then there is the emotional impact of the families, the bonding of the child, etc. Then there are jobs lost, due to numerous appointments, visitation (which was always at the convenience of the foster parent), etc. Then what does DHS / CPS say: the parent(s) are umemployed.

WE MUST DO SOMETHING TO FIGHT THIS CORRUPTION! IF ANYONE IS INTERESTED IN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT, PLEASE POST! THERE IS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS!

yes I have dealt with cps in the past I got them called on me when my oldest child was acting up in school that's caused from Adhd and add they come out to my house where it was clean with food and my children had beds to sleep in cps said that they had concerns regarding my children because the school and my family had called cps on me saying that I was neglecting my children.my middle child had a problem wetting himself in school and cps told me that I was being charged with neglect me and my husband went through alot of stuff with cps he almost lost his job because of it.they had me doing in home parenting they had families first come out to my home everyday they also threatened to have my rights terminated if I didn't comply with them so I was scared of losing my children to the system. if I didn't give my aunt permission to take my kids they would've put them in Foster care we had to jump through hoops we had to do a drug test which they had cut our hair without a judges signature or a court order.so they had taken our DNA and after that our test results come back that we had no drugs in our system and they still pursued to take them from me after I had completed all the things cps asked me and my husband to do.now we're on the central registry list because they had more than one complaint.after I got cps called on me the first time cps dropped the case because they had no evidence that I neglected my children but because of the school calling cps on me more than once cps couldn't ignore it but all the time they come out to my house cps closed the case they were going to the school in Clinton two in macomb county Mich.cps was in and out of my house for two years straight and still couldn't find anything on me or my husband.I tried to Sue them but the attorney I went through didn't handle cps cases the attorney was Jeffrey finger he sent me a letter stating that he couldn't help me but told me that I had a lawsuit against cps and to contact another attorney it has been almost two years since then can I still pursue to have a lawsuit against cps for false allegations.I would like to know because I've been through alot with cps and it is still affecting my life because now I can't volunteer in any school academics nor can I be alone with any children.when in home parenting come out to my house they sat with me for three hours once a week and told me that they had no concerns on how my parenting was and they finished their time in my home and had good reports to give to cps. who do i contact to see if i can still pursue a lawsuit against them i have all the paperwork that we had received and i did my own research on cps and this wasnt the first time that they had done this to families.while i was being investigated cps had a lawsuit against for the same thing they did to another family how can they keep getting away with it 90% of all the workers dont have children of their own so they prey on innocent families for their satisfaction and their paychecks for every child cps removes from a home.thank you for the help if there is any.

CPS takes children from loving & caring parents, not just abusive. They receive federal funding from Social Security Title IV that gives CPS $4,000-$6,000 per month that are placed in foster care. CPS gets nothing to keep the child at home or place with relatives.
CPS can remove a child without ecvidence or probable cause or even without a court order.
