Good, cloning dinosaurs and having them roam around might create some smashing havoc on freeway traffic jams.

As the Japanese would say,"Aiee! Godzirra!"

DINOSAURS!!!
Hi Dino.
I am an astrophysicist. And I am very familiar with this question.
Awesome that you are so interested in some of the most awe inspiring beast to ever walk the Earth.

And I just so happen to have your answer.(sorry if it kills your thread)

A pretty brilliant physicist solved this problem after 1980.

The dinosaurs were killed off in an event known as the Cretaceous-Tertiary Extinction Event...or K/T Extinction Event.

It happened 65 million years ago. And it didn't only kill off the dinosaurs. It killed of most land life and a ton of sea life.

It was very quick as far as extinctions go.

There is a barrier of sediment at the 65 million year mark. This sediment is very rich in iridium. Iridium is ultra rare.

An iridium rich meteor smacked the Earth 65 million years ago...it was a massive impact. So massive that the the dust from the explosion blocked out the sun.

No sunlight = no plant life = no herbivores = no carnivores

A long period of scarcity, cold, and darkness, and in the end....no dinosaurs.

Great theory but that is not good enough for science...we needed the evidence. What we needed was the smoking gun. And it was found on the Mayan Peninsula in Mexico. A crater over 100 miles wide that dated 65 million years ago.

Plenty big enough to cause a mass extinction.

The meteor either caused or coincided with a period of increased volcanic activity...which threw even more particle into the atmosphere.

Any dinosaurs that did manage to survive the obvious shitstorm in the atmosphere...were weakened by the temperature drop and starvation. And most likely succumbed to disease if they didn't flat out starve.

Don't lie.......it'll make your nose grow longer, Pinocchio.

It was you that suggested the idea of cloning dinosaurs in the first place.

That was just a couple of posts ago.....is your memory so short?

There was a global flood that resulted in the global fossil record as the Bible says.

Many dinos and man fossils have been found partially fossilized with blood and bone. Trees too! They are not bazzillions of years old as the pagans believe & teach.

The cretaceous period includes a chalk layer that proves earth was under water.

Suppose there was a KT event. How did life continue?

I am going to assume that this was sarcasm...as I have to assume because of the reaction the real answer got.

No thinking person could possibly believe this.

How does chalk prove the earth was under water?(and it would be talc...if anything)

If you seriously think what you wrote is true....let me know and I will tell you why it is impossible.

Be well.
