Half baked in Tamil.<quoted text>
I dnt know in wat basis u r saying some words here are not of Tamil origin,
Hey u half baked in Tamil language,
Chidambaram was deformed word like a colloquially deformed word, it was from sinnambalam-sithambalam-sitram balam-chidhambaram
Ambalam in Tamil means a stage where people used to gather for ceremony,
Well that city is second largest in d world that have mangrove trees in one place,
Mangrove trees are called as Thillai maram in Tamil
So called siva there as Thillai koothan.
And as Neelakaran said that place in ancient times known as Thillaiyambalam too
Chidambaram is also a Sanskrit origin wherin chitta means conscience and ambaram means sky .
Chidambaram Natarajar Temple is one of the Panch Tatva Lingams denoting the sky Tatva along with Tiruvanaikkaval which is Jal Tatva, Tiruvannamalai for agni Tatva , Ekambareshwarar Temple in Kanchipuram for prithvi or bhoo Tatva and Srikalahasti near Tirupati as Vayu Tatva .
So all the word origins are equally traceable to Tamil as also Sanskrit .
How would you separate the two origins ?
Both the origins are reasonable and precise.
