You will be making illegal the Word of God. The Word which calls people to love others as yourself and to shun evil. If your going to shun the Bible, which is what Martin Luther, Mother Tereasa, Martin Luther King Jr., and so many other people built their faith on then your gravely mistaken. Because of that thing that's "Just a book" I would take a bullet for you. No matter who you are. You can make it illegal all you want but if you so much as try to destroy the Church and hurt me I would do no violence to you. Turns out that not every churchgoer is a Christian, even if their in the Catholic church, but you must know I am a real Christian because I follow Christ.

You have no proof that your God exists. Adolf Hilter built his faith on that book too ... so what?

We live in a country 86% Christian and you think it ought to be illegal? Heck our country is based upon Christian values and religious freedom is a primary reason so many people move here. Would it be right to make Islam illegal? NO. Judaism? NO. Should the Bible be taught in (public) schools. Other than being taught as a historical text, NO.
As for the preceding commentator, I believe your thoughts on religion are a little too cynical and misconceived. Yes there have been many wars brought on by religion but humans are hardwired for religon and belief in something higher.

The United States of America is not based upon Christian values. Even if 100% of the population of the USA was Christian, this is still not a "Christian Nation" or any other type of religious nation. Please read the Constitution of the United States of America.

The only place that christianity will 'illegal', will be...in HELL. It will be 'illegal' in hell because it will have NO POWER to save those who will find themselves there. Just keepin' it....REAL.
