http://sports.yahoo.com/news/oscar-pistorius-... First of all, if ORENTHAL Pistorius is telling the truth(which I seriously doubt) about hearing a noise, and then getting his 9mm, and then going towards the bathroom door in fear..........HOW COME HE DIDN'T KNOW WHERE RIVA STEENCAMP WAS AT THE TIME?????? Wasn't she supposed to be in the BEDROOM.......with HIM??!! See, ORENTHAL Pistorius SET EVERYTHING UP!!! See , he 'staged the open window scene' in the bathroom BECAUSE he knew he was going to have to have his LIE STRAIGHT about thinking a burglar might be in the bathroom!!!! O.K.??!! H-E 'OPENED THE BATHROOM WINDOW HIMSELF' because he was PREPARING HIS LIE for the police!!!!!! And another thing!!!!!! If he didn't know that Riva was the one in the bathroom, WHY DIDN'T HE CALL HER NAME SO THAT HE WOULD 'KNOW' IT WAS HER??!!!! ORENTHAL Pistorius is a MURDERER!!!!! He found out that Riva had recently had lunch with her handsome ex-, and he was seething, he was boiling!!! And on Valentine's Day/Night!!!!!.....he was going to CONFRONT her about it!!!..... He was going to call her all kinds of names!!!!! AND THEN!!!!!...he CHASED HER INTO THE BATHROOM......KNOWING SHE WAS IN THERE!!!! AND HE FIRED THROUGH THE DOOR...We're not STOOPID, ORENTHAL Pistorius!!!! You PLANNED ALL OF THIS, and you PLANNED ALL OF THE LIES YOU HAD READY FOR THE POLICE!!!! And then you had the AUDACITY!!!!!.....to tell a security guard......'Everything's...... ..FINE.' Everything's NOT 'Fine'!!!! You're a MURDERER, ORENTHAL Pistorius!!!!! A MURDERER!!!

I did hear someone suggest on a sleuthing forum that as Oscar's phone was found in the toilet, its possible Reeva had taken Oscar's phone and was looking through it and perhaps finding things, which enraged him. I would actually agree with this! Originally I thought Oscar must have read something on Reeva's phone only, which angered him. But if I share a personal experience of mine, I had an acquaintance who is very nosy take my phone out of my hand one day and just go through everything, such as my photo's and so on, without asking me. She just looked through everything like it was no biggie. I remember suddenly feeling very very angry and I snatched the phone from her hand and nearly bit her head off and I wasn't sorry. It felt like a breech of privacy, or a boundary was crossed. There was nothing like porno or anything on it Lol. But just personal notes and photo's of me and so on. Its like a diary in a way. So I can understand if Oscar became enraged should his phone have been taken off his hands by Reeva, especially if he had personal things on his phone which most people do. I remember clearly I felt like I was violated in some strange way just by someone looking through my phone. So I imagine a man would feel angry x100 if all that testosterone is anything to go by! My guess.

I think the guy is a "hot head" and his family's money has got him out of sh*t more than once in his life but to murder Reeva intentionally I do not think that was planned or on his agenda Something went terribly wrong that night and things went further than anyone thought they would. He is physically and mentally ill sitting in that court, He has his sister who comes every day to court and she is like the "rock" that he is leaning on. Today when photographs were shown of Reeva's body and her injuries to the court, Oscar virtually collapsed and was physically bringing up.

I think that the court case will eventually find out what really happened but outright murder Reeva, I have great doubts. He unfortunately does not have a good track record with guns (but most Afrikaans speaking people in South Africa don't have good track records with guns). They have the guns for protection because of the country that we live in, but "young men will be young men" and when they are "rich young men" they feel invincible messing with guns and shooting out the sky light of the vehicle in which they are travelling remembering that any sh*t they get into their parents and their money will get them out of trouble. Unfortunately this time Mum and Dad cannot help. Such a pity that this should have happened.

The truth needs to be told.

O.k., Dale, maybe he didn't 'plan' all of this. Maybe, as you said, things might have just gotten 'out of control'. I wouldn't doubt that they were arguing about ex's, and cheating, text message spying, and phone logs and jealousy. But one thing is CERTAIN: Oscar ORENTHAL Pistorius.......KNEW that he was shooting through that bathroom door..........at RIVA STEENCAMP. And he can sit in court and cry and throw up chitlin's and greens and hogjowls and whatever......but he ain't foolin' NOBODY!!!!! R U, ORENTHAL Pistorius??!!

Doc you have to live in SA to understand WHY he thought it was an intruder. You shoot first and ask questions afterwards. It is just the way it is. So living here I can see his side of the story. There is no doubt that he shot Reeva but I do not think intentionally. Sure he is a "hot head" and thinks that money can get him out of sh*t but something went very wrong that night. I am hoping that it all comes out in court. I also think that he is going down for this and will spend time in the clink. You see Doc SA does not have juries decide these things The High Court Judge is the one that passes sentence and decides everything. This judge happens to be a woman and who knows which way it will go. We shall have to wait and see..

No, not crude to me. My sense of humour is obviously on a par with yours.

I understand the REALITY of violent crimes in South Africa, Dale. Most of which are committed by angry, violent dark-skinned African men. And many white South Africans live with the constant REALITY of fear of black male criminals. They equate dark skin and angry faces....with an evil born of a hate for apartheid-approving rich white South Africans. Hey, we got that here in the 'States! A lot of 'the brothas' I come across in the streets!.....don't KNOW ya', I got my EYE on ya', and therefore....I don't TRUST ya'. Long as you stay on YO side of tha' street, won't be no problems....4 REAL. But, ANYWAY, back to ORENTHAL Pistorius: don't let ORENTHAL Pistorius fool you, Dale!!!! DALE!!!.....let me ask you a question!: If you had just, allegedly, shot your girlfriend through a bathroom, allegedly, thinking she was a burglar....and then a security guard came along and asked you 'Is everything alright?!', would it be normal, AND INNOCENT, to say 'Everything's fine.'??!!! Noooooo!!!!

It does sound dangerous living in SA I must say. There must be constant on-the-alert fear daily, and a lack of trust in some people in authority or even your employees. Having said that though, after today's' trial it sounds like Oscar is guilty and it was premeditated. Take a look at the ballistics testimony, which said Reeva would have been standing when she was hit with the first of four bullets, in other words she would have been screaming after that. Looks like we have an answer to this trial.

Hey Candice, yes as the days go by it becomes more apparent BUT I reckon that something happened or went terrible wrong as I have heard about and read about Oscar's history with guns etc. He comes from money with a big M and I think that all the sh*t he ever got into was handled by bailing himself out of the pooh with money. This time he went too far and no amount of money can get him out of it. I know that he shot Reeva but I do not believe that he did it intentionally. He may very well have thought that there was an intruder in the house and taking into account he has no legs and is at a huge disadvantage for this reason, he may very well have thought to shoot first and see what he was up against afterwards. I don't know the answers but I really and truly do not believe that he did it intentionally. When security asked him if everything was ok and he answered yes fine, I do not believe he knew for one moment what he was talking about because by then he would know that it was Reeva and not an intruder who was shot and the shock must have been enormous for him.

hmmm interesting, thanks Dale. He sure must be hairy with a gun and with a short fuse, yet could he also have a pathological streak I wonder. One question I would like answered with regard to blood spatter was if the toilet seat was up. If it was up that would show Reeve sought refuge from Oscar not relief for her bladder. Also I read some place else Reeva told Oscar to open his V day gift the next day on the actual day, perhaps as she wouldn't be there, perhaps she may even arranged to meet another guy. If so, then I seriously wonder, was he offended by that. What if that night the only thing being threatened on Oscar wasn't his physical self, but entirely his EGO. IF Reeva and Oscar had arguments on previous times then she may have often 'challenged' Oscar's ego. Too much this time perhaps. Awful and sad, this case.

Hey Candice
I have not followed the case for the last 18 hours as I am watching and following the debris found off the Perth Australian coast that may be the Malaysian flight debris. Apparently weather is very bad, but two large items were seen and the one is about 25m in length which the authorities are keen to get. There are about 4 countries involved, Australia, New Zealand, Norweigan ship on its way, USA as well and both the USA ship and the Australian Air Force have been picking up the "pings of this debris". They have both received these pings. The Australian Air Force plane had to turn back because of bad visibility and weather conditions. I can only imagine how the families of the people on board have suffered through this.
Anyway I deviate from the Oscar trial. My apologies.

Yes I heard that Oscar and Reeva had previous fights so anything is possible and if his ego came into it, I bet he was not a happy camper. Apparently he cheated on his previous girlfriend with Reeva so he must have truly loved her. The mobile phone being moved is an important thing as if he was reading her text messages or vice versa he may not have liked what he read and her too. Anything is possible but his lawyer, Roux is going to make a big deal about the phone I am thinking as he spent hours questioning the police about why the phone was moved.

Now they're sayin' he's sellin' his house to help pay his legal bills. Good for him....because he probably won't be living in it any more anyway. But what makes him think that someone else would want to use that creepy bathroom that Reeva Steencamp died in??: Maybe he's hoping someone will buy the joint and then bulldoze it.....like they did his 'brother's'....lol: http://www.cnn.com/US/9807/29/briefs/oj.house...

been thinking about more theories as to motive... Domestic violence appears like a convincing scenario to me. I myself was in the beginning stages of such a relationship once, but was thankfully told by a male friend that I was in danger and I had to reluctantly leave. The reason i first got in that spot and why my partner turned on me suddenly, was because I had to leave and go to another city for a job. Perhaps Reeva was in the stages of leaving Oscar. Generalizing maybe, but there seems to be the tendency for some men to lash out unkindly at a woman, or carry on protracted conflict with her, upon breaking up - and it doesn't seem to matter whether she leaves him, or he dumps her, as per my reading on relationship forums. It is as if the woman he loved whom he no longer has a future with must now be destroyed. This is all IMO. Just something to think about. Ialso think that provocation is not required necessarily, although it could be used as an excuse to attack. A woman in a domestic violence situation doesn't really have to do much to threaten a man at all! Unless Oscar feared the humiliation of his partner breaking off with him in the public eye or before his close peers.
- lack of impulse control, spiralling out of control, ridiculous assumptions, no logical thought patterns,
- no respect for boundaries, flouting the law as a life practice and attitude
- disturbing streak of sadism or cruelty eg torture via mushroom bullets.

I'm just going to relate to my personal experiences of being in the early stages of a domestic violence situation, before I was advised by a good male friend that I should leave and not go back. My partner turned on me virtually overnight after I told him I had to leave in about a week to go to another city. These are the events leading up to and before I left him, as follows: a sudden change of demeanor from contentment to vein-popping rage; nothing I ever did was right; when he brought friends over and I was in my room with the door closed he kicked the door with a loud startling walloping and his friends' said 'why are you so angry?' yet he didn't open the door and come in or anything; he wanted to go on a last minute trip like we used to do, as in a weekend getaway, but we left late at night, then he veered the car off into a dark secluded back road with no one around and lots of scrub asking me 'are you scared', I said no as you don't expect your 'loved one' to want to harm you, luckily we went back home except he was arguing and making me cry on the way back; in one of his rages for no reason he said get out of this room 'before I kill you'; the final event being his whacking my face and eyes hard with a towel leaving a scar over my eye. I ran off and sought shelter with a female friend who lived down the road. I then got advice from a male friend to keep away for good after he asked me if I had been threatened. This saved me. To relate this to the Pistorius case, I am convinced it was domestic violence, and Reeva was intentionally killed, probably because she was leaving or they were already on less than committed relationship terms.

ORENTHAL Pistorius found out that Reeva had recently had a lunch 'date' with her ex.......and ORENTHAL Pistorius....lost it.

Not good. Oscar definitely lost it - Reeva's lunch with her ex would have helped.
