Hi :D just throwing it out there to see what people think.
To me, it seems that everything that is going on in the world today, comes straight out of Revelation.
It looks like the majority of people in the world have become hard hearted and Godless.
Many things the good Book has predicted have already come to pass, all the world hates those who claim to love Jesus.
Almost every religion in the world seems to have been infiltrated by Christianity, good or bad, mostly bad.
Are all Religions at war with one another?
Is there a purpose to this?
Is it deliberate?
Was it not predicted?
Is the World about to fall into war?
I think, yes.
What do you think?
Revelation 2:7 (ESV)
2 “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. 3 I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary. 4 But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. 5 Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. 6 Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. 7 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’
All are welcome and please, let's keep it friendly and try not to judge one another :D
I didn't read any of the other posts but just wanted to make a quick comment. No, the world will not end. I say this in that "The World" will still be here long after humans have gone. Perhaps people will destroy each other but the world has been here billions of years and will continue on billions more.

This Year, Live by the Beatitudes (7)
Lev 8-10, Matt 5:13-26, Ps 42:1-5, Pr 1:20-23
'Blessed are the peacemakers...' Matthew 5:9

The story's told of two blokes who were arguing about religion. One of them finally shouted,'Ok, you serve God your way and I'll serve Him His way!' When we make our opinions a precondition for loving one another, we end up alienating one another. Much of what we fight about doesn't matter. Jesus said,'By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.'(John 13:35) It's not enough to love peace, you've got to become a peacemaker. When a fight erupted in the New Testament church over eating certain foods, Paul stepped in:'Let us stop passing judgement on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister. I am convinced, being fully persuaded in the Lord Jesus that nothing is unclean in itself. But if anyone regards something as unclean, then for that person it is unclean. If your brother or sister is distressed because of what you eat, you are no longer acting in love. Do not by your eating destroy someone for whom Christ died. Therefore do not let what you know is good to be spoken of as evil. For the Kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval. Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and mutual edification...So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God...'(Romans 14:13-22) So, be a peacemaker!

Another tall order, for me at least. I read a book called The Peacemaker by Ken Sande, given to me by a dear friend, who noticed that this was not my forte. I enjoyed both the book and the little studies and exercises within it. Indeed, I have never been much of a 'peacemaker', the opposite is true, I was always more of a provoker and a confronter, great for my profession but more productive if done in a kind and loving manner, terrible for personal relationships. People do not like to be confronted, provoked, disagreed with or disrespected. I am very grateful to God that this is not an aspect of myself that I have to develop on my own. I am also thankful for the help I have received in my development thus far. Please, Lord, help all Christians to develop and grow into the role of 'peacemakers' as is Your will for us, in Jesus' name, Amen.

Best quotes from Dogma, IMHO.

"Trust the Catholics to unmake existence."
The Muse.

"Crisis of faith over?" The 13th Apostle.
"I think I'm now burdened with an over abundance." Bethany.

Bartleby - "You know how I felt? Righteous, justified, eager even..."

Loki - "You all right man? You're eyes are kind of..."

Bartleby - "My eyes are open, for the first time I get it. When that little innocent girl let her mission slip, I had an epiphany. In the beginning it was just us and Him, Angels and God..."

Loki - "Ah ha..."

Bartleby - "...Then He created humans, ours was designed to be a life of servitude and worship and bowing and scraping and adoration! He gave them more than He ever gave us! He gave them a choice! They can choose to acknowledge God or they can choose to ignore Him! All this time we've been down here, I've felt the absence of the Divine Presence and it's pained me as I'm sure it must've pained you, and why? Because of the way He made us! Had we been given free will, we could choose to ignore the pain, like they do... But NO! We're servants!"

Loki - "Ok... Well, all I'm sayin' here is that one of us may need a little nap..."

Bartleby - "Wake up! Humans have besmirched everything He's bestowed upon them! They were given paradise, they threw it away! They were given this planet, they've destroyed it! They were favoured best among all his endeavours and some of them, don't even believe He exists! And in spite of it all, He has shown them infinite f#cking patience, at every turn. What about us? I asked you, once, to lay down the sword, cause I felt sorry for them, what was the result? Our expulsion from paradise! Where was His infinite f#cking patience then?!?! It's not right! It's not fair! We've paid our debt, don't you think it's time? Don't you think it's time we went home?....and to do that, I, I think we might have to dispatch our, our would be dispatchers..."

Loki - "Wait...wait..wait! Kill them?!! You're talking about the last scion for Christ's sake, and what about Jay and Bob? I mean, those guys were all right.."

Bartleby - "Don't, don't my friend, don't let your sympathies get the best of you, they did me once. Scion or not, she's just a human, and by passing through that arch, our sins are forgiven...No harm, no foul."

Loki - "My God. I've heard a rant like this before..."

Bartleby - "What did you say?"

Loki - "I've heard a rant like this before."

Bartleby - "Don't you f ing do that to me..."

Loki - "You sound like the morning star."

B "You shut your f ing mouth!"

L "You do! You sound like Lucifer man! You've f ing lost it! You're not talking about going home Bartleby! You're talkin' about f cking WAR on God!!! Well, f ck that! I have seen what happens to the proud, when they take on the throne. I'm going back to Wisconsin."

Life In Christ
A Guide for Daily Living
John Stott

<quoted text>

Drop your still dews of quietness,
till all our strivings cease;
take from our souls the strain and stress,
and let our ordered lives confess
the beauty of your peace,
the beauty of your peace.

Breathe through the heats of our desire
your coolness and your and your balm;
let sense be dumb, let flesh retire,
speak through the earthquake, wind, and fire,
O still small voice of calm,
O still small voice of calm!

c Jubilate Hymns.

Encourage Someone Today
Lev 13:38-14:57, Matt 5:38-48, Ps 3, Pr 1:29-31
'...Epaphroditus...ministered to my need.' Philippians 2:25
When people are hurting, they need your support until they can get back on their feet again. Medical researchers have developed a bone-bonding compound that illustrates this. It looks like toothpaste. Onceinjected into the body it hardens in ten minutes. In twelve hours it reaches the compression strength of natural bone. A study in the journal, Science, found the compound virtually identical to natural bone crystals. It so closely resembles real bone that the body doesn't reject it. Weeks after being injected into the body, the cement is replaced by real bone. According to the associated press, clinical trials 'show the material has allowed patients to discard casts early--or altogether--and to resume walking more quickly and with less pain.' Epaphroditus is introduced by Paul as '...my brother, fellow worker, and fellow soldier...and the one who ministered to my need...Receive him therefore in the Lord with all gladness, and hold such men in esteem; because for the work of Christ he came close to death, not regarding his life, to supply what was lacking in your service toward me.'(Phillipians 2:25-30) You ask,'What was Paul lacking?' Encouragement! And who brought it?'Epaphroditus, a brother, a fellow worker, and a soldier.' Epaphroditus worked side by side with Paul and he fought for him. What an asset he was! We look for such people in times of crisis because they lift us. So today ask God to make you an encourager whose words and actions bring comfort and support others. There is no greater calling!

Everybody needs encouragement and comfort some times. Even one's enemies. Hello Cie.. To find out if we are living in the end times, judge for yourself. There is a documentary out on Netflicks, called "The Daniel Project". It's Narrated by an Agnostic. As a 'Holy Spirit' filled Christian, I 'know' there is a God. A Beautiful, Mysterious God.
For the past 2000 years, it's been said that 'God Almighty' is coming back (the rapture) to claim his Christians, and defeat the Devil. I don't know your Historical background, but Knowledge is Power!

With Israel becoming a Nation in 1948, this changes things. It was/is a 'Bold' prophesy, of the Bible.

I'm not here to belittle you, or make you feel bad, that is not my intention. A true follower of Christ does not hate, but shows 'Love' instead. I do come in peace, and will not engage in that type of debate.

I hear animosity in your thread. I don't blame you for defending yourself againsts hateful people that hide behind Christianity. Christians are not any better than Atheists. That would be judgemental of me. God 'Loves' us all the same.

If possible, do your own research about Israel, then we can have a great discussion.
Love in Christ... SL

ps I doesn't matter to me if you believe in God, the Bible, or not. We all have 'free will' to choose . My earthly father is an Agnostic, and to me, he is one of the greatest men I know. I don't try and change him either... I also like Atheists just as much as my 'Prayer Warrior Princesses'. I do not hate anyone, or anything...:) SL
