You think that little 60 minute, or 120 minute, or 200 minute TRACFONE phonecard is pretty cool, huh???!!!! WELL LISTEN TO THIS!!!!!!: Let's say you go out and buy a.......60 minute phonecard, you get the minutes downloaded to your cute little TRACFONE....and then you get a call from, say, moms, or your best friend, and they're really in the talking mood. Next thing you know, YOU'RE in a talking mood. And the both of you go on and on and on and on..........and before you know it....ya'll been talking......FOR AN HOUR. So, now, you come back to your senses and tell tem you gotta' go. Now you start to REALIZE what just happened: You just PAID TWENTY DOLLARS......TWENTY DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!to talk on your TRACFONE.....for one measily, stinky hour.......un REAL. That was about as st upid as buying a lottery ticket instead of buying diapers and milk and food for your baby. Just keepin' it REAL, Yo.

TRACFONE is only for foolish broke people who think they're getting a REAL deal....when in REALITY......they're being fleeced to the highest level of commercial thievery.

If you buy a 60 minute TRACFONE pre-paid card......you will only get 60 REAL minutes of airtime if you talk for a full 60 minutes.....ON ONLY ONE CALL. if you consume that 60 'available minutes' over a course of tme......in REALITY....you may only accumulate somewhere around 30 to 40 minutes of REAL AIRTIME. And even if you do use ALL of he 60 minute, say in one phone call, PAYING TWENTY DOLLARS TO TALK ON A CELLPHONE OR A MERE ONE HOUR IS MUCH WORSE THAN CAB DRIVER RATES!!!!!!! Just keepin' it REAL.

Don't use your tracphone to long conversations. Twenty dollars lasts 3 months without any contracts or commitments in my case. That is dirt cheap. Home phone cost is $13.12 a month. That is unlimited anywhere in the United States. Great technology, dirt cheap prices.

They can go out and purchase a big cell phone with the internet and all the bells and whistles and sign the year commitment or whatever. If the big clunky cell phone breaks they are out hundreds of dollars and they break all the time. The screen cracks, they fall out of pockets, others leave them laying around. Insurance is an extra expense and people have had problems with collecting or did not receive what they expected. Actually twenty dollars gets 60 minutes which is doubled and that means 120 minutes.

You are right, I have one and it is only used as an if I need to call a tow truck or something. It is not a good deal for a regular phone. Tracfone is also owned by Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim. Sometimes they give you bonus minutes and time if you buy a 200 min. card. But on the other hand all other cell phone company`s charge about $80 to $150 a month depending on your plan and most of the time it`s just as crappy a deal as Tracfone.

IMO there is not any Cell phone that is a real value.

It is just as bad as going to Comfort Dental. RippOff !!

The trick to getting the most bang for buck out of tracfones is buying a double minute phone for 20 dollars. Spend another 20 dollars on a double minute card. then buy the most minutes at once that you can afford, using a promo code found on the web. You can get up to six times as many minutes for your money as opposed to only getting 60 minutes for 20 dollars. that's a dollar for every 3 minutes, which is a trifling amount of time to talk on the phone.

A huge complaint I have about tracfones though, is that if you use the phone for like 12 seconds, like dialing someone that didn't respond, or picking up a call from a telemarketer and hanging it up right away, tracfone automatically deduces a whole minute each time. It's pretty much BS because they are taking away like 5 times the amount that you actually used. and texts count as big as .3 minutes each, WTF?

The new tracfone trick is to use a Triple Minutes for Life phone and make sure to Tracfone Promo Codes for Free Bonus minutes. This way I get 90 service days and 160 minutes for talk and text.
Data I don't use ever. I can with free wifi, but the browser is pretty lame.

SEE....it's bad enough that poor people think they're getting a good deal when they buy a 60 minute Tracfone card for a whopping $ 20 dollars!!!!!!!(YEAH, THAT'S RIGHT!!!!: TWENTY DOLLARS TO TALK FOR JUST 'ONE HOUR'!!!!!!) But what's even WORSE.......is that Tracfone so SLYLY STEALS MINUTES FROM CUSTOMERS EVERY TIME THEY MAKE A CALL THAT LASTS less THAN 60 SECONDS........AND WHEN THEY TALK PAST EVERY TEN SECONDS INTO THE NEXT MINUTE OF AIR TIME!!!! GET IT???!!!: IF YOU TALK FOR 1:10 SECONDS ON A CALL......YOU GET CHARGED TWO MINUTES ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!! NO WONDER THE TWIN TOWERS WERE OBLITERATED!!!!!!!!!! BECAUSE OF ALL OF THE CORPORATE THEIVERY IN AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, they're getting you, one way, or the other.
But the REALITY of competition helps keep all mobile providers somehow honest.
