Our Warfare
The warfare of the Church is simply to remain in God’s presence. His judgment is against anything that slays love. The first commandment is to love the Lord with all of our heart, mind and soul. We can only love others and walk in love to the degree that we abide in God who is love. Bearing the light of God that reveals His glory upon our face is the result of walking in His love. When we look in the mirror, which image do we see?
We must ask ourselves, are we abiding in God where our hearts are ablaze with His love? The real battle is to press through anything that hinders us from abiding in the light of heaven. Jesus said that we would know one another by our love, which is the fruit of the Spirit that never fails. Our weapons of war are not carnal, but mighty in God to the pulling down of strongholds.
The flesh only leads to more flesh. Jesus said that the flesh profits nothing, but the Words He speaks, they are Spirit and they are life( John 6:63).
Evil cannot cast out evil. It is the peace of God that crushes Satan under our feet, and His love that never fails. James tells us to “Submit unto God, resist the devil and he will flee”(Ja. 4:7). It is by our submission unto God that causes the devil to flee. We resist by submitting to the heart of God to fulfill His purposes.
To say as Jesus did,“Nevertheless, no matter how painful this is, or lackluster, let your will be done.” His light is greater than any darkness. We are able to pierce the darkness as we “Arise and shine for your light has come”(Is. 60:1).
I have heard it said “If the enemy cannot stop you from pressing in and moving on, he will seek to cause you to move forward too quickly.” Jesus is the I AM of right now. Moving too slowly due to hesitation will cause us to miss great opportunities.
And moving too quickly will cause us to get ahead of God where burnout occurs. The scripture tells us that those who are aligned with God’s Word,“Shall go out with joy and be led forth with peace.”(Is. 55:12.) Are we going out with joy being LEAD FORTH BY PEACE? Or are we being reactive and anxious believing that it is our duty to perform or to seek justice?

His Perfect Timing
What is leading us today? Is it our vision, zeal and ambition? It is our faith in God or fear, suspicion and unbelief? Or is it the rest that comes from abiding where we are overtaken by the joy of the Lord? Let peace be your barometer. If the peace of God is not there, backtrack and find where you missed the turn.(Rather than blame shifting, look within)
In the center of a hurricane there is a great calm. Even in the midst of storms, Jesus declared,“Peace be still.” As we abide in the center of God’s heart, His love and peace will rule the day. Thus, everyplace we walk we shift the atmosphere with the peace of God.
Although there may be winds of adversities swirling around us, we can abide in the center of the storm where peace rules. Let Christ be the center of you life for He is the Prince of Peace.
As agents of change created in God’s image, we are created to host His glory to shape events, not be controlled by it. Anything that keeps us from abiding in the peace of God and His love, will only serve to draw us away into needless conflicts. We must remain at the helm of our call moving steadily forward. This can only take place when our focus is upon the Lord and our affections upon the things of the Kingdom realm (Colossians 3:1).
GET READY
Get ready; Jesus is taking us out into the deep into uncharted waters. Though the storms may rage about and the winds of the world may be contrary, our trust is in the one who calms the storms. Jesus is at the helm as our pilot and navigator for He is Lord of heaven and earth.. The King of Glory is here and He is here as the Lord of host. We walk from the place of victory as we abide in the one who is victorious, for He has risen,Far above all principality and power and might, and dominion, and every name that is names, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come after. And has put all things under His feet. And gave Him to be the head over all things to the Church. Which is His gory, the fullness of Him that fills all in all (Eph. 1:21-23).
We prepare for war by putting on the full armor of God. As good soldiers not entangling ourselves with the affairs of this world, but standing firm on the Kingdom of God for His Kingdom cannot be shaken. As David declared in Psalms 91, as we abide in the secret place we shall abide under the wings of the Almighty who is our truth, our shield, our sword and our protector.
Yours in His love and heart,
Roy Roden

Anytime the Spirit is present, the Spirit of prophecy is also. And when the Spirit is moving through you, the testimony of Jesus is present for His works to be seen.

Jesus said the Spirit of truth will reveal Him to us and brings His Words to life. Those who love Him that hear His voice and keep His Words and obey His commandments, has the promise that He and the Father will come and make their dwelling with them and reveal their love to thme (John 14:17-26). The pathway to becoming one is that of love. Those who love the Lord will hear His voice, keep His Words that are life, and obey His commandments. In this we are one.

John the Baptist said the Lord will baptize you with the Spirit and with fire. This fire was seen on the day of Pentecost as cloven tongues of fire that sat upon those present. As they were filled with the Holy Spirit, they began to speak as the Spirit gave them the utterance that revealed “the wonderful works of God”(Acts 2:11).

The miracle of Pentecost was not just speaking in tongues,, but the words that were uttered in the language of those present from other nations. On the day of Pentecost, God released the Spirit of Prophecy that revealed the wonderful works of God. This was the fulfillment of the promise that Jesus gave before His crucifixion,. which is the Spirit of Truth who will “dwell with you and shall be in you”( John 14:17). This is the testimony of Jesus – the Spirit of prophecy. The power that Jesus said will enable us to be witnesses unto Him in all the earth (Acts 1:8).

God is empowering His ministers as a flame of fire (He. 1:71). He does not want us to just speak about Him, but to be a vessel for His voice to speak through. His desire is that others may hear His voice by the Spirit that reveals the saving knowledge of His truth that sets men free.

You are anointed with the Holy Spirit as a flame of fire to manifest the Spirit of prophecy that reveals the mighty works of God – which is the testimony of Jesus.

Many interpret being a witness as revealing the scriptures and being obedient to all that is written. We can preach the gospel and still not be anointed. We can witness to others of His saving grace and yet without His presence, our words will not have the desired effect. The scriptures only yield its voice when the Holy Spirit reveals their truth in love that our heart may be enlightened in the KNOWLEDGE of Him (See Eph. 1:17-18).

True Spirit life is experiential. Thus, it is God’s passion that we know Him in Spirit that we may know His truth. To experience His love, to know His heart, to be present with Him in such as way that we are consciously present with Him and He with us.

From Genesis to the book of Revelation, the Scriptures point to the one who is the TRUTH, the WAY, and The Life.

If we are not present with Him, we cannot reveal His presence to others. The testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of prophecy. The testimony of Jesus comes by the ministry of the Holy Spirit that touch the heart of others with His life.

Many miss God because they follow a path that leads to everything but the simple devotion to “Be With Me” that we might know Him. God wants us to be present with Him as He loves to be present with us. This after all is the New Testament Covenant. God has said,

“I will dwell in them, and walk in them: and I will be their God, and they shall be my people… And I will be a Father unto you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord almighty (2 Cor. 6:16, 18).”

As the above scripture states, He will not only dwell in His people, but also WALK IN THEM. God wants His voice to walk in every aspect of our life – our soul, heart, will, mind and spirit. The same voice that WALKED in the cool of the day in the Garden of Eden that Adam and Eve knew, now walks in us (Genesis 3:8). Friends, we are the Garden of Eden that Christ has redeemed for a habitation for His Spirit.

BE Still AND Know

No matter what we are doing in life we can learn how to be internally still to be present with the Lord. If our minds are occupied with our thoughts and our personal feelings, we become so present with ourselves, that we miss being present with Him. Self-centeredness, self-serving and self-seeking, creates a negative spiritual vacuum that attracts everything but the light, love and life of God.

Eternal life is not just living forever in heaven; it is the spiritual life that enriches our lives with the abundances of heaven. Heaven comes in the person of Jesus. Instead of seeking for a passion driven life, we are to seek a presence driven life. And from the place of intimacy, minister His life from the place of His manifest presence that reveals His glory – the faith that works by love.

It is a people that rise and shine with awakened hearts empowered by God’s love, that display the splendor of His excellency and His mighty acts for His glory to be revealed throughout the earth. We are now entering into a season where we will see signs and wonders continually. The Lord will do this through His people. Once again as in the beginning, the Spirit of the Lord will move upon the face of this earth and the knowledge of the glory of God shall cover the earth as the waters covers the sea.
The call is to “Rise and shine for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you”(Is. 60:1)

I leave you with the blessing,“The Lord bless you, and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine yon you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace (Numbers 6:24-26).

The Davidic Company of Warriors

The Davidic Company consist of seasoned warriors that display extraordinary courage. The Davidic Company, like King David and his army, consist of men of valor that are passionate lovers of God. These worshipping warriors fight in the strength of the Lord who trains our hands for battle and gives us supernatural weapons against the enemy.

Theses champions of God are anointed for war with an unyielding perseverance to destroy the works of the enemy in the authority of Christ their King.

When David was fleeing from Saul, men of valor joined him that became his army of mighty men. These men were not your finest citizens, refined or the crème of the crop. They were fugitives in distress, in debt or that were discontented.(1 S. 22:1-3) But these men were swift as a deer, clever as a fox and strong as an ox.
These men were loyal to David. They were mighty in deed such as Adino that slew eight hundred men with a spear at one time. Dodo was a warrior who smote a multitude of Philistines for so long that his hand froze to his sword.(I might be tempted to be fighting mad with a name like Dodo?) Men of courage such as Abishai slew three hundred men at one time with just a spear.

Benaiah was a valiant man who slew two lion like men of Moab. On one snowy day just for entertainment, he slew a lion that was in a pit. He also plucked with a staff the spear out of an Egyptian’s hand and slew him with his own spear.(See 2 S. 23:8-21).

These were the men that formed the army of David that went forth to battle, expert in war that could keep rank that were not of double heart.(1 Chronicles 12:33).

Who Are They Today?

The Davidic Company are freedom fighters that wage war with the heart of the Father. This Kingdom Force consists of tactical warriors skilled in the use of divine weapons of warfare that are mighty in God to the pulling down of strongholds.(2 Cor. 10:5) Their strength, power and authority are in the life and divine nature of God. The mantle they wear is the cloak of humility and their armor is the light of Christ.

Their spear is that of worship and their bow the Holy Spirit and their arrows the Word of God. These spiritual warriors work as a team to do exploit as they are led by the Spirit.

Working outside the boundaries of the traditional church, they are trained to execute high-risk operations under cover as secretive operatives.

Standing between the forces of hell and the Kingdom of God, they work undercover as God’s secret service to observe and gather intelligence for strategic operations and counter attacks.

Their duties include performing hostage rescue operations to open prison doors and set the captives free. At the risk of their own lives, they are often called to subdue suspects and engage in warfare with heavily- armed bandits.

There armor is the full armor of God made of refined silver that reflects the redemptive love of God. Their shields of faith are made of gold forged by the grace of God that has the power to quench the fiery darts of the wicked as they stand as one in the authority of Christ.

Their spiritual weapons include the gifts of the Spirit such as the word of knowledge that enable them to see with advanced night vision optics. Their wisdom and counsel is of God that empowers them with the right timing and strategies. They utilize the gift of discerning of spirits for covertly determining the position of angels, hostages or where the enemy is hiding within an enclosed structure. The most powerful weapon of all from the arsenal of heaven is the Father’s love.

With a high degree of effectiveness, they quickly mobilize as “minutemen” to go into any home, building or office, and do a clean sweep clearing the area of enemy mines and nasty critters. But most of all, they are known for the ability to usher in the glory of God. Their mission is not only to take territory, but to possess it in the power of the Spirit knowing that a true victory is not won until it is occupied by the Church.

They push back the tide of evil refusing to yield one inch of ground to the enemy. You will never see a white flag in the hands of these warriors conceding before their enemies.

These are fiery spiritual warriors that run to the sound of battle with a passion for justice and righteousness. Together as one they form an elite force unwavering in their love for God and their resolve to follow Christ as the Captain of the host.

The Tabernacle of David
David was the first to incorporate the ministry of worship before the Ark of the Covenant where the priest served in their daily administration in the temple. As a prophetic ministerial, David established a worship center in Israel known as the Tabernacle of David. Using psalteries, cymbals and trumpets with all manner of instruments and with singing, David ensured that worship continued 24/7.

David well understood the power of worship opens the gates for the King of glory to come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of Host, He is the King of glory (Ps. 24:10).

The Lord of host means Lord of armies. As a military general David understood how to obtain the Lords counsel and together with the armies of heaven, prevail over their enemies. As King he understood how to obtain at the gates of heaven God’s wisdom and counsel to rule at the gates on earth.
David was the first to combine the ministry of worship with the ministry of the Priest that served the Lord and His people. It was this fusion of worship with ministry service that ushered in the glory of God. Such an event took place when the Levites, which were worshippers, gathered with the Priest to make one sound unto the Lord,

It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voices with the trumpets and cymbals’ and instruments of music, and they praised the Lord saying, For He is good, for His mercy endures forever, that the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord. So that the priest could not stand to minster by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God (2 Chronicles 5:13-14).

The Tabernacle of David Today

The Lord is now restoring the tabernacle of David, a building that is fitly framed together for a habitation for the Spirit of God (Eph. 2:22) that will attract men to the light of His glory “After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down, and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up (Acts 15:16).
And the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising (Is. 60:3)

The Tabernacle of David consists of worshipping warriors. Some of these are prophetic minstrels that are singers skilled in instruments of worship that release declarations on earth uttered from the heart of the Father in heaven. With the heart of the Father, they release rivers of life that impact the region with the Father’s love.

With the restoration of the tabernacle of David, the power of worship with the release of God’s glory will cause the dry bones of Ezekiel’s graveyard to rise up and stand upon their feet with the breath of God as a living army. The Lord is mobilizing an army and He will lead it as the Lord of host, the King of Glory that is mighty in battle.

Some of these centers will become fortress of truth and healing. Others will become military training camps where armies will be equipped for warfare and sent out to the region while others as a Special Tactical Force will go the nations.

This army of believers will march to the sound of victory being joyful in their King as they ascribe to God all the glory and honor. As David declared,“Let them praise His name in the dance: let them sing praises unto Him with the tumbrel and the harp”(See Ps.149:1-3).

Just as the Lord ambushed Israel’s enemies when they went out singing and praising the Lord in the beauty of holiness, the Lord will ambush our enemies as we go into the secret place to abide in the Lord. In doing so the Lord will go out on our behalf to punish our enemies with His great and strong sword (See Is. 27:1).
The Lord will go forth like a warrior; He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout; yes He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies (Is. 42:13).

Recently I was in a trance where I was marching in the Lord’s army. The Lord of host was enthroned in our midst as we marched in cadence to a new song that we sang. We marched forth not to obtain the victory for the advance was being made from the place of victory. There was a sense that we had already defeated our enemy because of the presence of the Lord’s authority that permeated the ranks of the army.

Being led by the Lord of host the atmosphere was charged with overcoming faith. It was the victory accomplished by Christ on the cross that established the cadence that we marched too in perfect rank as one. Because Christ is the conquering King, the victory was won even before the battle had begun. The joy was not in the slaughter of the enemy but in seeing the prisoners set free from spiritual slavery and the bondages that held them in captivity.

The prophet Daniel foresaw these coming champions of the Lord when he declared,“But the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits (Dan. 11:32).

We are living in extraordinary times and the best is yet to come!

Why Being Rapture Ready Is Essential

If you are reading this before the rapture, it is essential, in the view of many prophecy scholars, that you get ready now for the second coming of Christ, rather than await the tribulation era.

is significant evidence that those who are given, but refuse, the Holy Spirit’s call to accept Jesus Christ as Savior might not hear such a call during that last seven years.

The Scripture in question indicates God’s offer during the tribulation might not extend to those who during the time before the tribulation clearly knew they should accept Christ, but rejected that beckoning:“And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie. That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness”(2 Thessalonians 2:11-12).

Time To Get Ready Is Now
There are no prophecies that precede the rapture of the church. Yet most every signal given by Jesus and the Old and New Testament prophets for the end of the age is on history’s horizon at present.

The hour is late; the rapture is imminent; it could literally take place at any moment. There are no guarantees of future opportunities for salvation. The Apostle Paul gives God’s Word about the urgency of the hour when it comes to getting second coming ready:“We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation)”(2 Corinthians 6:1-2).

Get Ready For The Rapture

One area of prophecy that is the most significant for the Christian believer is the expectation of Jesus Christ's return for the Church. The pre-tribulation rapture is the moment when Christ comes in the air to catch away all who are spiritually ready. The rapture is the doorway between two opposite worlds. On earth we have sin, suffering, and strife. In heaven, there is nothing but holiness, happiness, and cries of "hallelujah."
"The dead in Christ will rise, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord" (1 Thes 4:16-17).
"Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality"(1 Cor 15:51-53).

Because the pre-tribulation rapture is likely to be the next major event on God's calendar, it is all-important to be cognizant of the rapture's nearness. If you should find yourself left behind, you'd suffer a double tragedy of missing out on the splendor of heaven and having to face the various judgments God will be pouring out on the earth.

The rapture is clearly something any person with a logical mind would not want to miss. Unfortunately, most people are unprepared to meet the Lord Jesus. One of the biggest reasons for the lack of readiness has to be the fact we are drowning in a sea of warning signs.

"So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled" (Mat 24:33-34).

Final Warning Incorporated

Authors of prophecy books have a natural tendency to aim for book titles that imply the most dire scenario. I've run across dozens of books and sermons that have the phrase "final warning" in their titles.
I know those words sound catchy, but they imply that you should not expect any more warnings from the author. For the sake of continuity, if not honesty, any subsequent books by the same writer should be given titles such as "Final Warning 2," "Final Warning 3," or "More Final Warnings."

Asahel Nettleton wrote a sermon entitled, "The Final Warning." I was never able to determine when he wrote it, but I do know Nettleleton died in 1844. More than 150 years later, we still have plenty of "final warnings" in publication. Here are a few book titles from the past few years:

Final Warning
The Final Warning
The Final Warning: Your Survival Guide to the New Millennium
God's Trumpet Call: A Final Warning
Jesus' Final Warning
God's Final Warning to America
666: The Final Warning
The Last Day: The Final Warning
Final Warning: Daniel's Prophecies Decoded

A Final Warning to America

I've talked to some of these authors, and most of them seem to believe that it doesn't matter if the passage of time has thrown doubt upon their "final warning" cries. They assert that their main goal in writing the books was to make people aware of the approaching end times.

In the story of the boy who cried "wolf!" the young lad was certainly active in warning the villagers, but we all know he eventually warned them a little too often. A "final warning" title may increase sales of books, but if the Lord Jesus fails to return on cue, everyone who has read these books will become immune to the end-time message.

"Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation" (2 Pet 3:4).

Jesus Did Say He's Coming Back

When I talk to unsaved people about the rapture and world events, 90% of them agree with the validity of Bible prophecy. Most of them even admit that we are headed towards the tribulation hour. If I try to tell them we might be getting near to the end, that's when I get strong opposition from them. "Not in our lifetime," is the average reply I receive. I always try to reason with them by saying, "You agree Jesus is coming back, and the likelihood of His return only increases each year. Because there is nothing to prevent Him from returning, why not at least be open to the possibility?"
A large portion of the population strongly refuses to consider the prospect of prophecy being fulfilled in our generation. In all honesty, many of these people probably have a good reason for not wanting to see the end times: the start of the tribulation would signal their doom.

In most wars in which two main forces are at odds, it's historically common for fighters to realize they're on the losing side and then defect to the side that's winning. This is particularly true in tribal conflicts. If you're not in Jesus' camp, you're on the losing team. For the time being, sinners still have the opportunity to abandon their loyalty to Satan and to realign themselves as soldiers in God's army. Once Jesus returns to earth, it will become too late for someone to change his or her allegiance.

"And the kings of the earth, and the great men, and the rich men, and the chief captains, and the mighty men, and every bondman, and every free man, hid themselves in the dens and in the rocks of the mountains; And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?" (Rev 6:15-17).

Seven-Day Warning

I often wondered what would happen if the Lord supernaturally announced to the world that He was coming back in seven days. Of course, the proclamation would obviously have a profound impact on society:

Global stock markets would close.
Manufacturing would slow to a halt.
Stores would freely distribute their goods.
Livestock would be freed to roam the countryside.
It would be impossible to get an airline ticket to the Holy Land.
Prostitutes would become nuns overnight.
All media outlets would have continuous news coverage from Jerusalem.
A spirit of piety would sweep over the world.
During the Miller Movement of the 1840s, as people looked forward to the predicted return of Christ, a number of people did things they later regretted. When the date failed to produce the Lord Jesus or doomsday, most folks went right back to their previous sinful lifestyles. The fact that people would make phony commitments immediately before a known rapture date is the most likely reason the Bible says we shouldn't expect a warning.

"Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh" (Matthew 24:44).

The Window Of Opportunity

During the tribulation, people will be able to calculate exactly when Jesus is coming back to earth. From the time the Antichrist declares himself to be God, saints will know that the second coming will take place in 42 months (Rev 13:5).

An obvious question some folks might ask: Why is the timing of the rapture a big secret, while the timing of the second coming is known? The answer is simple: For the most part, it currently doesn't cost the average person much to live for Christ.

Once the tribulation starts, all believers will be in a whole new ball game, one in which most will have to suffer martyrdom in order to hold on to their Christian faith. Knowing how bad it is going to be for those left behind, I certainly don't envy their benefit of knowing when the tribulation will end.

Some Bible scholars go to the extreme by promoting the idea that it's impossible for people to find salvation after the rapture. Their general attitude is if you're foolish enough to miss the rapture, you should be out of luck.

Once a person is left behind, his flesh might be in a dreadful state of affairs, but his soul still has a chance at redemption.(An article on the main page of Rapture Ready called Second Chance for Salvation refutes the teaching that there will be no tribulation salvation.)

I have a difficult time understanding where these people get the idea that the tribulation is a time when people will be able to blissfully wait for Jesus to come and rescue them. The tribulation is going to be a time of immense persecution. Few people realize we are living with a window of opportunity that will soon close. Most of the saints who will find salvation after the rapture will not physically live to see Jesus' glorious return.

"And it was given unto him (Antichrist) to make war with the saints, and to OVERCOME THEM: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations" ( Rev 13:7).

"He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints" (Rev 13:10).

There's No Such Thing As A Final Warning

Because man has no control over his destiny, it's impossible for him to know when he'll have the final opportunity to turn his life over to Jesus. Because you have no guarantee you will be here tomorrow, it should be obvious that you need to be ready today.

Because of what we know about the aging process, we know that a 20-year-old man has a greater chance of being around a year from now than does a 90-year-old man. However, unless the older gentleman is in declining health, he's not likely to have a deeper focus on his spiritual state than the man who's still a youngster. If someone is 90 years old, he typically expects to live to see age 91. If he makes it to 99, he generally believes he'll make it to 100.

Death is always a surprise. Because there is no certainty you're going to be here tomorrow, you need to accept Jesus as your eternal Savior today. To do this, you first must ask Jesus to forgive you of your sins.

"Therefore repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord" (Acts 3:19).
"And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).

After you commit yourself in words to Jesus, you then begin to follow Him with your actions. Committing yourself to faith in Jesus Christ is the easy part. Fulfilling that pledge is where the difficulty comes in.

Once a big-time evangelist visited a large city in central Africa. During one crusade service, more than 10,000 people raised a hand to show that they had accepted Jesus into their life. Several months later, a Christian organization did a follow-up study. They found that less than 1% of those people were still practicing their faith. The other 99% had heard the warning message, but they must have assumed that in the future they would yet be offered a final, final warning or possibly a final, final, final warning.

"Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation" (2 Cor 6:2).
