Another natural insomnia remedy is the B-complex vitamin. Research has shown that deficiency in B-complex may lead to sleep problems and taking a supplement has been a very effective natural cure for insomnia. B vitamins are a collection of eight vitamins essential for our various metabolic processes. Most of these vitamins can’t be stored by the body and extended cooking, food processing and alcohol can destroy or reduce the availability of many of these B vitamins.

The effect of cures

Recent studies have revealed the fact that a vitamin B complex can actually help restore natural hair colour and get rid of or prevent the presence of gray hair. The actual benefits of the vitamin and the exact workings of the phenomenon are still being looked into, but ultimately, there might soon be a vitamin cure for gray hair caused by the aging process. It has also been found that vitamin A may be the key to restoring the lungs of smokers, or at least healing emphysema, a smoker’s disease that can well be lethal. As for vitamin C, it is almost common knowledge that taking in high doses of it while having a cold can reduce the severity of the symptoms.

Another important vitamin for our body is vitamin B12, which helps to keep nerve cells and red blood cells in a healthy condition. While this sounds brilliant, it is important to remember that no vitamin is a miracle cure for anything, that even taking a multivitamin every day is not enough to maintain good health, and that taking care of your body does require more effort than popping a few pills once a day.

The Beauty of B: Why You May Need More of the Vitamin B Complex

Vitamin B comes in many forms, and all of them are necessary for healthy living. Getting plenty of B vitamins - usually much more than the recommended daily allowance - can improve heart health and symptoms of depression, and can also work to improve energy levels and brain function.

The complex of B vitamins includes vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B5, vitamin B6, vitamin B9, vitamin B12, biotin, choline and inositol. It can't be stressed enough that all of the vitamins in the B complex are equally important. These vitamins work together in a synergistic way. If you don't have enough of one type of B vitamin, the other kinds will not be able to function effectively.

For many reasons, vitamin B deficiency is not uncommon today. Our typical modern lifestyle and diet are especially responsible for depleting the B vitamins from our system. A deficiency is usually caused by:

- Stress. Whether it's emotional (like chronic anxiety) or physical (like surgery), stress quickly saps B vitamins from our bodies. If you are under a lot of stress or if you have trouble managing your stress, then you need more B vitamins to make up for lost nutrients.

- Poor Nutrition. Thanks to commercial farming practices and modern food processing, foods today have less naturally occurring vitamins than in previous times. Processed foods disrupt the body's normal functions and drain the B vitamins right out of us. Foods like refined grains and sugar are especially damaging.

- Toxins and Chemicals. They're in our food, our air, and our water. Household cleaners are loaded with them. Even when we try our best to avoid them, we're frequently exposed to toxins and chemicals that deplete our B vitamins.

Doctors' woeful lack of training about nutrition
If you "just asked your doctor" how many hours of training they received in medical school on diet and nutrition and they replied honestly, many of them would tell you "none at all." Most of the rest would say they received no more than a couple of hours training.

In the mid 1980s, a landmark report by the National Academy of Sciences highlighted the lack of adequate nutrition education in medical schools and the writers recommended a minimum of 25 hours of nutrition instruction. Two and a half decades later, a 2010 study by researchers at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill found that the vast majority of medical schools still fail to meet the minimum recommended 25 hours of instruction.

The North Carolina researchers found only about a quarter of 100 schools surveyed offered the recommended 25 hours of instruction. In addition, four schools offered nutrition optionally, and one school offered nothing at all. Only a quarter of the schools had even a single course dedicated to nutrition.

"Nutrition is really a core component of modern medical practice," said Kelly M. Adams, the lead author and a registered dietitian who is a research associate in the department of nutrition at the university.

Marcelle Pick, OB/GYN NP, agrees: "Most medical schools fail in nutritional instruction. Doctors tend to underestimate the importance of nutrition in general. No wonder: most doctors receive a mere few hours' nutritional training in med school, and lack adequate time to keep up on the latest research. Their practice is based on disease screening, not prevention, with an emphasis on drug therapies, not nutrition."

Dr. Pick added that "Such doctors naturally think that nutritional supplements have little therapeutic value."

Solmaz Amirnazmi, MD, also agrees: "We as physicians do not receive adequate training in nutrition, healthy lifestyle choices, and disease prevention in general while in medical school or in residency."

Ray D. Strand, MD, author of "Death By Prescription," punctuated the lack of education about nutrition when he reported: "In medical school I had not received any significant instruction on the subject. I was not alone. Only approximately six percent of the graduating physicians in the United States have any training in nutrition."

Dr. Strand said that doctors are mostly taught only about the power of prescription drugs and surgery as treatment for diseases.

The role of the pharmaceutical industry and the AMA
The largest source of funding for medical schools comes from drug companies and medical schools curricula are set by the American Medical Association (AMA). Is it any surprise that doctors are taught to treat patients primarily with drugs and surgery?

Given the power of proper nutrition, doctors' inability to give informed nutrition advice surely dooms millions to early graves due to illnesses which might have been prevented or healed. It is a national health tragedy which begs to be corrected.

"Good nutrition will prevent 95 percent of all disease." - Linus Pauling, two time Nobel Laureate

"Leave your drugs in the chemist's pots if you can cure your patient with food." - Hippocrates, "the father of medicine" whom the Hippocratic Oath for doctors is named after.

Presentation by Pastor Dave Fruehauf Based in part on the book: What The Bible Says About Healthy Living by Rex Russell, MD. Regal Books The following information is not given to prevent or cure any specific disease.

I. Three Biblical Principles

1. Eat the foods God created for you.

2. Don't alter God's design.

3. Don't let any food or drink become your God.

II. Eating Right in a World Gone Wrong!

1. God's laws are intended to bless and benefit his people. Spiritually, physically and socially. Not morally bound to follow, but is it wise to ignore them?

2. God desires our health even in a fallen world A. God promised good health to the Jewish people: "If you will listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what he considers right, if you pay attention to his commands and obey all his laws, I will never make you suffer any of the diseases I made the Egyptians suffer, because I am the Lord who heals you." Ex. 15:26.(Hebrew raphah to mend, cure, repair) These commands include those which deal with what we should and should not eat.

III. God's Original Menu to Adam and Eve

1. "I have given you every plant with seeds on the face of the earth and every tree that has fruit with seeds. This will be your food." Genesis 1:29 A. Includes all grains, vegetables with seeds (beans, legumes, sesame, corn, etc.) nuts and fruits. Adam and Eve were vegans. Those who lived prior to the Flood had life spans approaching 1000 years. Today, Seventh-day Adventists (who are mostly vegans) live an average of twelve years longer than the

regular population and have lower rates of degenerative dIseases. The Hunzas lived in the Himalayas - no cancer, ulcers, appendicitis, colitis, heart disease or hypertension were found. Ate grains, nuts, vegetables, fruits, and legumes only. Lived from 90120 years. Today, modem life styles have made inroads and the Hunzas are losing their longevity.

B. Ideal conditions in the Garden of Eden.

1. Perfect conditions for growing a perfect vegetable garden. No weeds or poisonous plants. Imagine the wide variety!

2. Perfect conditions for Adam and Eve to obtain perfect nutrition. Plants filled with amino acids, vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, enzymes.

3. Ate their foods raw. Picked at the peak of perfection. Obtained health benefits of the sun without getting skin cancer.

4. Large variety of the best tasting fresh foods! Adam and Eve were designed to be vegans with a digestive system designed for uncooked plant foods. Had a perfect, natural supply of digestive enzymes.

IV. God's Directions for Eating after the Fall into Sin.

(Less than the ideal after sin and death entered the world.) Adam and Eve would now die. Their bodies no longer perfect. Built in aging, deterioration, defectiveness, allergies, disease, sickness and death. I.Genesis 3:18 "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat of it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat plants of the field''

a. God broadens the menu. Gives permission to eat herbs, foods without seeds in them: leaf, root and tuber vegetables.(like lettuce, cabbage, kale, spinach, carrots, parsnips, beets, etc.

b. After the Great Flood, God tells Noah, "Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything. But you must not eat meat that has its lifeblood still in it." Genesis 9:3,4 God gives permission to eat animal meat but with a restriction. What about sea creatures, birds and insects? "Of all the creatures living in the water of the seas and the streams, you may eat any that have fins and scales... Anything living in the water that does not have fins and scales is to be detestable to you." Leviticus 11:9,12. Scavengers (shrimp, oysters, etc.) collect the waste and toxins from the bottom of the sea. Birds which are scavengers are not to be eaten Leviticus 11:13-18. Vultures, crows Insects which may be eaten or may not be eaten are listed. Leviticus 20-23: Grasshoppers are ok for food! "The Israelites started crying again and said,'If only we had meat to eat! Remember all the free fish we ate in Egypt and the cucumbers, watermelons, leeks, onions, and garlic we had? But now we've lost our appetite! Everywhere we look there is nothing but manna!" Numbers 11:5,6.

V. God's Commands and Warning Regarding the Eating of Animal Flesh and Animal Products.

#5095 Feb 3, 2013
1. "Never eat any fat from cattle, sheep or goats." Leviticus 7:23 "Never eat the blood of any bird or animal no matter where you live." Lev.7:26.

2. "You must distinguish between the unclean and the clean, between living creatures that may be eaten (cloven hoofed and cud chewing) and those that may not be eaten." Lev. 11:47 The cover fat of both clean and unclean animals is forbidden. The internal marbling fat of clean animals is permitted. Range fed animals which are exercised and eat leafy plants and grasses will have healthier internal fat. The cattle in Bible times were range fed. Were not fed antibiotics, pesticides, fungicides or growth hormone additives. Were not fed diseased or dead animal parts.

3.Modern evaluation of toxins in animal meat: all designated clean animals are in the safe range; all unclean animals are in the toxic range.

4. Milk and meat should not be consumed together. Milk interferes with the digestion of meat. Exodus 23:19: "Do not cook a young goat in its Mother's milk." Small amounts of butter are permitted.

5. God gives instructions to use olive oil. "For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land-a land with wheat and barley, wines and fig trees, pomegranates, olive oil and honey." Deut.8:7,8 Olive oil contains anticancer properties, leads to more efficient cardiac contractions and does not lead to vascular disease. Olive oil is digested in a process similar to complex carbohydrates. Olive oil was once scorned by many in the medical profession but is now highly recommended.
VI. Living Verses Dead Foods: "You Are What You Digest"

1. Over processing and overheating destroy digestive enzymes found in fresh vegetables, whole gains, fruits and nuts and seeds. Overheating and re-heating vegetable oils makes them carcinogenic. God has placed enzymes in foods to help with the digestive process. Adam and Eve

ate raw plant foods containing all of the enzymes put into them. We only receive benefit from the foods our bodies are able to digest properly.

2. Processed and "refined" vegetable oils found on supermarket shelves undergo procedures which completely change their natural structure changing them into clear, odorless oils that are tasteless killers.
3. Expeller pressed unrefined liquid oils protected from air, light, heat and chemicals retain the natural healthy structure of the oil. Available in food co-ops. Store in the refrigerator. Small amounts of olive oil or butter are best for cooking.

VII. Healing Nutrients From Foods God Created For Our Health.(A partial list)

I . Sulfides - onions and garlic

2. Indoles and sulforaphanes - cruciferous vegetables

3. Carotenes - antioxidants to protect cells - carrots, sea vegetables, brightly colored vegetables

4. Indoles and lignens - whole grains

5. Polyphenols - green teas

6. Limonene - citrus fruits

7. Quercetin - grapes esp. the skins

8. Phenoles - raw fruits and vegetables

9. Phytonutrients brown rice and other whole grains

I O.Phytoestrogens (isoflavones)- soy beans and soy products; flax seeds

These anti-oxidants work together to protect the body's cells

from the destructive action of free radicals. That's why it is

important to eat a variety of vegetables and fruits every day.

VIII. Harmful Additives in Processed Foods

1. Red Dye #40 suspected cancer agent

2. Carmel color - lowers immune system functions

3. DES - synthetic hormone used in chicken and cattle feed. Causes cancer.

4. Sodium nitrate - in cured meats - turns into nitrosamines when heated - a potent carcinogen.

5. Cyclamates and saccharin - chemical sweeteners

6. Hexachlorophene - cosmetics, deodorants

IX. Oils and Fats - Those That Heal, Those That Kill

1. Outer layer of animal (suet) clogs arteries. Saturated hard fats. Kills

2. Healthy Oils (Omega 3s) naturally found in vegetables, grains, beans, flax seeds, soy foods, walnuts, cold water fish. Heals

3. Mono-unsaturated oils (Omega 9s) build sturdy cell membranes. Easily digested. Do not clog arteries. Maintains good levels of HDL's. In olive oil, avocados, olives. Heals

4. Hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated fats (margarine, crisco, etc.) clog arteries. Worse than saturated fat. Kills,

5. Over consumption of polyunsaturates is carcinogenic. These Omega 6 (alpha-linoleic) oils are found in corn, sunflower, safflower, etc. Kills

6. The Omega 3 oils are essential fatty acids needed for health and longevity. Found abundantly in flax seeds and flax oil, hemp oil, walnuts, almonds and in fish oil from salmon, tuna, mackerel and sardines. Small amounts are found in other nuts, beans and grains. Fish oil also contains DHA (also in mother's milk) and EPA which are essential nutrients for the brain. Heals

7. Flaxseed oil contains alpha-linolenic acid, an omega-3 oil that the body can convert to EPA and DHA. There is a marine plant source for DHA (phytoplankton) which can be purchased as a supplement. DHA is the building block of human brain tissue and the retina. New research is showing that Omega-3 oils can help children with ADD and ADHD and can help folks with depression problems by raising the level of serotonin in the brain. The eggs and meat of chickens will have increased amounts of Omega-3 fats if they are fed green grass and plants and flaxseed. Omega 3 oils lower total and LDL (bad) cholesterol, protect cells from mutations leading to cancer, help maintain healthy blood pressure and reduce arthritis symptoms. Aids in digestion and increases energy. Omega 3 oils are not converted to stored body fat: German Biochemist, Dr. Johanna Budwig discovered the impo rtance of Omega 3 oils in helping the body recover from cancer. The human body needs Omega 3 (linolenic) and Omega 6 (linoleic) oils. Called Essential Fatty Acids. Heals. fats

X. Gluttony, Fasting and Digestive Enzymes

I.Fasting prevents low levels of digestive enzymes from being overwhelmed by over-consumption. Regularly eating large portions of meat seriously stresses the digestive process and can deplete the supply of necessary digestive enzymes.

2.Animal protein contains sulfuric amino acid causing the bloodstream to become acidic when large portions are eaten. The body pulls calcium from the bones to act as a buffer. Societies which consume the highest amount of meat also have the highest rate of osteoporosis, heart disease and cancer. Food addictions may require from three weeks to three months of abstinence for the body to discharge the excess.

XI. The Design of Our Creator in Whole Grains

I . The proteins in grains are of the highest quality and usefulness for us. They contain enzymes that assist in the proper digestion of the kernel of grain. Grains contain minerals and are highly absorbable by the body. Millet is high in calcium and is alkaline.

2. Grains contain anti-oxidents and lignens which help keep cells healthy. There are over 70 anti-oxidents in brown rice.

3. God has designed grains to be the center of the human diet.

XII. PH balance: Alkalinity and Acidity in the Human Body

1. The body constantly seeks the proper balance in its PH.

2. Cancer patients generally have a PH on the acid side.

3. Vegetables and fruits and calcium help the body maintain alkalinity.

4. Meats and dairy products produce acidity in the body.

XIII. Milk and Honey

1. Honey is mentioned many times in scripture as a food.

2. Raw honey (esp. dark) contains nutrients, antioxidants and enzymes. Scripture warns about over-consumption of honey.

3. Rice syrup and Barley malt are healthy sweeteners when used in moderation.

4. Clean (organic, non-homogenized) cow and goat's milk are given as food in scripture. Homogenizing milk breaks up the larger butterfat globules in whole milk into tiny globules. The large globules pass through and out of the body. The tiny globules of homogenized milk pass into the bloodstream raising cholesterol and triglycerides.

XIV. Beans and Legumes: Good Nutrition

1.Storehouse of B vitamins, folic acid and a rich source of protein and complex carbohydrates. Low in fat; Contain small amounts of healthy fat. Folic acid protects against heart disease and cancer. Soluble fiber lowers cholesterol. Contain protease inhibitors which protect against cancer.

2.Soybeans have extraordinary health benefits. Contain complete protein, same quality as milk, meat and eggs but lack cholesterol. Contain healthy fat. FDA approves

"heart healthy" claim for the soybean and soy products. Helps lower cholesterol including LDL. Reduces chances

of blood clots. Contains phytoestrogens which help protect against breast and prostate cancer. FDA recommends minimum of 25 grams per day.

4. Tofu, tempeh, miso, soy milk, textured vegetable protein (TVP) are healthy soy products.

XV. Eating Close to God's Directions in Contemporary Society.

1. Make grains the center of your meals. Look for Kashi - a seven- pilaf with sesame seeds. Complete protein.

2. Include beans on a regular basis.

3. Include vegetables and/or fruits at each meal

4. As much as possible, eat vegetables and fruits raw or lightly cooked. Save the water for soup.

5. Use organically grown vegetables and fruits as much as possible. Eat a variety of below and above ground vege's. Eat colorful fruits like blueberries, strawberries, cherries.

6. Avoid drinking chlorinated water.

7. Drink green tea daily.

8. Avoid soft drinks. Instead, juice vegetables and fruits

10. Use meat as a side dish occasionally in small amounts. Choose range fed chicken and beef

11. Eat cold water fish and lake fish (with fins and scales). Choose farm-raised fish when possible. At food co-ops.

12. Eating natural sauerkraut (not heated or canned) will add additional enzymes into the digestive system. Found in the cooler in natural food stores.

13. Recipe for Ezekiel Bread: Ez. 4:9. Available in Food Co-ops. Bread E 4:

Big Money In Vitamin Pills

Today vitamins have become big business. Fourteen years ago, freshly juiced on health, I was compelled to practically “sell my soul” to a promising network marketing company which will remain nameless. Their stuff was better than everybody else’s stuff, and if you sat still long enough, they could prove it. I was going to get rich and they had colored graphs to prove that too. In all fairness, their stuff was good, but outrageously overpriced.(Please, if you have gone manic about some network marketing company, you will be wasting your postage sending it to Freedomyou). They had a line of all-natural vitamin and mineral pills. The pills were huge, the size of a gorilla’s toe, and they gave you funky breath. But best of all, they had a patented “Fructose Cellular Delivery System.” Heady stuff for a young health buff. It was over $100 for a month’s supply of gorilla toe pills.
A Natural Vitamin Delivery System
One of the problems with vitamin pills is that lots of your dollars get flushed away in the form of an attractive and mighty expensive green-yellow pee. The cells get precious little. I was impressed with the patented fructose cellular delivery system though, until I began to study how the nutrients of raw fruits and vegetables are assimilated into the body. Well, guess what! Sure enough, sugars like fructose in fruit act as a delivery system for a variety of micronutrients including vitamins. And they do a much better job of it than the gorilla toe pills. God already had the patent.

The vitamins that occur in whole foods are integrally related to a large diversity of other naturally occurring molecules that assist absorption and assimilation. When vitamins are isolated and packaged into pills, they are poorly absorbed and can even cause imbalances in body chemistry. There is no such thing as an isolate in nature. It is completely man-made.

You may have heard of the word “cofactor.” Vitamin C derived naturally from plants has cofactors in the form of bioflavonoids. They increase the bioavailability of vitamin C by 30 percent. There are many cofactors, scores yet to be discovered, that are naturally found in food. They work hand in hand, helping the human body absorb essential nutrients. They may not be recognized as essential, but their job of making essential nutrients more digestible is vital to human health.
The Lagerquist Pee Test
It amazes me that I can eat a huge bowl of brightly colored fruit and have crystal-clear pee, but one vitamin pill, and within minutes, well, isn’t that pretty. The added color means vitamins are being lost. The Lagerquist Pee Test may never be recognized as a good science, but it makes sense to me.

Around 30 percent of us take one or more vitamin or mineral supplements every day. There was an extensive study done on the death rates of 11,000 people, and it was discovered that there was no difference in the mortality rate between those popping their vitamins and those who did not. Yet many dietitians do recommend that adults take a good multivitamin daily.

the revival

Seri Kembangan, Malaysia

#5103 Feb 4, 2013
Characteristics of This Revival:

1. There will be an emphasis on holiness and living a sanctified life. God is exposing sin at all levels. He is no longer "winking" even for a short while at those who are trying to live double lives of sin and service to God. This will produce a holy fear of the Lord.

2. These sanctified lives will affect the culture of the nation where they live. Some will describe it as a "religious revolution."

3. Prayer groups will spring up with intercession for the nations of the world and the unevangelized. A fresh emphasis on missions in churches will be fueled.

4. The Holy Spirit is prompting "net-working" of those in business to bring forth a harvest of finance to fund the revival (Ezekiel 47:10).

5. Other kinds of nets will be given for the great harvest of fish, which represent the souls of the lost. Creative evangelism will become culturally relevant, bringing in the generation who are now children and youth.

6. Unusual outpourings of God's power will occur with signs, wonders and other visitations of the Holy Spirit such as great joy, laughing, weeping and deep conviction of sin.

7. The borders between different denominations will become less defined as more and more groups will pray for the sick, cast out demons and experience power encounters of the Holy Spirit.

8. A fresh love of the Word of God, with an emphasis on Scripture memorization, will visit the Church.

9. Racism will be abhorrent to the Church and unacceptable in those congregations experiencing the River of God. Racial barriers will topple as God's torrent of love is poured out.

10. Those refusing to swim with the current of the river will be in serious trouble. Their churches will become dead and lifeless, and members will flock to drink of the river of revival. Such churches will become "swamps and marshes" which will not be healed (Ezekiel 47:11).

Momentum For U.K. & Europe

The Spirit of God highlighted to me that the U.K. and Europe are poised for increased visitations of God's presence and power. 2013 is to see the building of momentum in cities across the nation and continent as the Kingdom of God is established through encounter and demonstrations of the rule of Christ. There is a significant increase in healing and the miraculous in the days ahead that is to invoke a sound of praise that will filter throughout the region: "To You belongs silence (the submissive wonder of reverence which bursts forth into praise) and praise is due and fitting to You" (Psalm 65:1).

There has been a simmering of presence over the land that is set to erupt as those who have been in the secret place are released into harvest. The Spirit of God is to visit the earth and water it, greatly enriching it (see Psalm 65:9). I saw in the Spirit the release of lightning over the U.K. and Europe. The Lord is "[covering] His hands with the lightning and commands it to strike the mark. Its crashing declares His presence" (Job 36:32-33).

I saw the lightnings of God being carried by individuals of intimacy. The Spirit brought to my attention that the call to intimacy and worship is the "rhema" decree that releases the experience of His presence. As I saw the prophetic call being decreed, His presence was established. The Lord is releasing the laid down lovers of Christ to lead the Body into a revival of intimacy. This is the beginning of a momentum that will see a revival where the manifest presence of Christ is restored in the midst of the Bride.

Re-Digging the Wells of Inheritance

Whilst meditating on what the Lord was showing me, the Spirit showed me Habakkuk 3:2: "O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years...make it known." Revival is the Bride being positioned to prosper in the fullness of Christ.

The Spirit then led me to Genesis 26 where Isaac was re-digging the wells of his father Abraham. After digging three wells, Isaac moves on to Beersheba and it is here that the Lord confirms the covenant that He made with Abraham. "So he built an altar there and called on the name of the Lord, and he pitched his tent there and [his] servants dug a well" (Genesis 26:25). Abimelech, the king of the Philistines, approaches Isaac to make an oath with him as he certainly saw that the Lord was with him " are now the blessed of the Lord" (Genesis 26:28-29).

As Isaac re-dug the wells of heritage, the blessing of the Lord became visible to his enemies. After contention with the Philistines over the first two wells, Isaac experienced a revival of prosperity at "Rehoboth," meaning "room to be fruitful." Yet there was more for Isaac. Isaac's servants then informed him that water had been found, and he called it "Shebah," the well of seven (see Genesis 26:33). The reaffirmation of the covenant with Abraham came at the place called the "well of seven."

I am reminded of an encounter I had in 2009 at Revival Fires in Dudley, U.K. As I was worshipping, I saw an empty valley. As I looked into the horizon of this valley I noticed a torrent of water gushing around a corner and heading straight for me. The water was travelling at such a pace. Riding on the top of the raging river were seven high-powered motorbikes with seven big, angelic beings. As they were about to hit me, I heard Trevor Baker say, "Receive it." Moments later, I am picking myself up off the floor, two rows back...

I have held onto this encounter for three years, and the Spirit of God has quickened it. There is a fullness of heritage that we have been positioned to re-dig. There is a reservoir of the miraculous, revelations and encounters, resources and strategic favour. These are being presented to the Bride through the experiential knowledge of the seven Spirits of God.
flood of favor

The Flood of God's Favor

Psalm 30:7 By Your favor, O Lord, You made my mountain stand strong...

God loves to flood us with His favor. It's not because of our good works or all the things that we have done, but what Jesus has done. Before Christ came, I can see the Father looking at mankind just waiting to display the fullness of His goodness. In His heart He conceived the plan to send His Son in order that He might open the way for us to enter into the very best place of experiencing His kindness.

When He sent His Son Jesus, it was with the motive of extending His family. In this, He also reveals His true identity – what He is really like. We see the fullness of the Father in His Son, Jesus. We see His love, compassion, care, grace and truth. Because He gave His only Son, that greatest sacrifice that could be made, He reveals the overwhelming extent of His love. When God demonstrated His love, He gained more family – you and me.

1 John 4:8-10 Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent His only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Having sons myself, I can see more clearly how the Father feels. If even I myself would do the very best for my kids, God would do far greater than that. God is not some hard, performance-driven master. God is love. That means that His entire motive for doing what He does is motivated by His love for us. He gives us unmerited favor – favor we could not earn. Although He does not give us everything we want, He does give us everything we need and far above all we can ask or think. As He sees our pursuit of Him, He surrounds us with His favor. As we set our love upon Him, He sets us in high places with Him.

God loves to be with His family. It is so important that the people of God embrace a life of devotion and spending time with God. Without this, His people are robbed of knowing God in a way that is living and real. One of the most different and notable attributes of Jesus that the Pharisees and religious leaders could not understand was how He called God His Father.

John 15:23-24 Whoever hates Me hates My Father also. If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both Me and My Father.

Technically, they could not receive it because it made Jesus equal with God. They also could not understand it because all they knew was the letter of the law and their own legalisms they had created. Holding to the letter of the Book was their perception of what was important to God. It is the natural drift of mankind to fall into control and power play games, exalting legalities. Since Jesus interfered with their lives, revealing what God really looked like, they had to find an excuse to kill Him.

When we replace a life of intimacy with God with a list of our good deeds, a contrary spirit emerges when the real thing shows up on the scene. When Jesus shows up in our lives, He tells us "come and follow Me." When we choose to follow Him, we choose a life of favor with God. God clothes His family with His favor. His favor is for a lifetime and His love endures forever.

why should we invoke the names of God in prayer??

-God's name is majestic-
-there is power in God's name-
-invoking God's name brings blessings-
-there is protection in the name of the Lord-

The thing that makes God beautiful is His holiness. The thing that makes heaven beautiful is the holiness of God. As you walk through heaven, holiness covers every single thing, from the flowers and grass in the field, to the houses.

When you see an angel in heaven they are absolutely beautiful and breathtaking, because the effulgence of God’s holiness emanates from them, covering and clothing them. When they come down to earth to work, and if they work down here a lot, that brilliance is removed and they will look very human.

The same angel who looks so glorious in heaven looks very human here. What makes heaven so beautiful is the glory and the holiness of God. That’s why the Bible speaks about the beauty of holiness. It is what makes Him so beautiful, so desirable and attractive to the eyes and to the heart, because in that holiness is purity that can be trusted.

Let me try, in the next place, to show some reasons why practical holiness is so important.

Can holiness save us? Can holiness put away sin-cover iniquities-make satisfaction for transgressions-pay our debt to God? No: not a whit. God forbid that I should ever say so. Holiness can do none of these things. The brightest saints are all "unprofitable servants". Our purest works are no better than filthy rags, when tried by the light of God's holy law. The white robe which Jesus offers, and faith puts on, must be our only righteousness-the name of Christ our only confidence-the Lamb's book of life our only title to heaven. With all our holiness we are no better than sinners. Our best things are stained and tainted with imperfection. They are all more or less incomplete, wrong in the motive or defective in the performance. By the deeds of the law shall no child of Adam ever be justified. "By grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast" (Eph. 2:8, 9).
Why then is holiness so important? Why does the Apostle say, "Without it no man shall see the Lord"? Let me set out in order a few reasons.

a) For one thing, we must be holy, because the voice of God in Scripture plainly commands it. The Lord Jesus says to His people, "Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven" (Mt. 5:20). "Be ye perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect" (Mt. 5:48). Paul tells the Thessalonians, "This is the will of God, even your sanctification" (1 Thess. 4:3). And Peter says, "As He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written,'Be ye holy, for I am holy'" (1 Pe. 1:15, 16). "In this," says Leighton, "law and Gospel agree."
