Can Eating Too Many Raw Greens Harm Your Body?

You may have heard warnings about goitrogens in raw brassica vegetables (like kale, turnip, collards and cabbage) or about the oxalic acid in spinach. It is true that all leafy greens contain certain antinutrients as a defense against herbivores. In large amounts, these phytochemicals can cause health problems. Those with pre-existing health conditions such as impaired thyroid hormone production or susceptibility to calcium-oxalate kidney stones might need to approach green smoothies with a little caution.

However, the antinutrients found in edible leafy greens are in sub-toxic doses when consumed in normal-sized portions. A healthy person with no underlying thyroid disorder would have to eat a TON (maybe three or more whole bunches per day) of raw kale over an extended period of time to cause any adverse health effects.
Oxalic acid in spinach hasn’t been directly linked as a root cause of calcium oxalate kidney stones, and dieticians do not advise avoiding eating spinach due to oxalic acid content.
Adding a few leaves of kale to a green smoothie will provide a wealth of nutrients and health benefits (glucosinolates have powerful anti-cancer properties too) and won’t make you sick.

However, if you do suffer from a pre-existing medical condition (such as hypo/hyperthryoidism), you should consult your doctor or dietician before putting raw kale in green smoothies. Leaf and romaine lettuces might be better options.
Regardless of your health, it is important to rotate your greens frequently to avoid a potential build-up of toxins over time and to give your body a break. Here are some tips for how and when to rotate your greens.

Not every diet “guru” approves of green smoothies, eating fruit, blending or even mixing fruit and greens, but many other health pioneers, experts, nutritionists, health studies and our personal experiences as well as the experiences of thousands of others shows that green smoothies are remarkable for your health and provide positive results toward cleansing, weight loss, better nutrition and health.

Both Are Important

Yes, probiotics are important and yes prebiotics are important as well. We here personally think that if you are taking probiotics, you should also be taking prebiotics as well.

The reason for this is pretty simple. If you are putting healthy live cultures into your body, it means that your body is deficient in these live cultures. The reason that they are deficient is most likely due to the fact that they did not nourish the bacteria in the body.

So if you take a probiotic supplement to replace bacteria lost in the body, you should also be taking a prebiotic. The probiotic will help to keep your bacteria happy and healthy and also most importantly nourished.

If you keep the bacteria nourished, you will be healthier and have much better digestion take place in the body. So we do not tell people to take one or the other.

Usually if you are taking one of these supplements, you should also be taking the other. Now that you know the function of each of these supplements, it makes sense of why you should be taking both of them at the same time.

Some people only believe in taking probiotics, but we are here to tell you that you should be taking both of them. You will see a major difference in your digestive system and how well you digest food if you take both of these supplements together at the same time.

If you do not want to take one, you can take the other one naturally. This means you can get your probiotics naturally from items such as yogurt, and then take prebiotic supplements as well.

Or you can go opposite and take prebiotics naturally from vegetables, and take your probiotics in a supplement form.

No matter how you do it, both of them should be taken together. We have found that many people benefit much better when both of these are taken together simultaneously.

If you want, you can find a supplement that has both probiotics and prebiotics. These multi-supplements are really beneficial if you do not like to take a lot of pills. You can get your probiotic and prebiotic nutrition all from one simple supplement.

Many people have been taking it this way simply because it is easier. It can also save you money, because if you take both in one supplement you only need to buy one supplement versus two.

Now these multi-supplements may be a bit more expensive, but you are still saving a ton of money as well if you do it this way.

We find that many have turned to this alternative because it is just easier.

As you can see, prebiotics and probiotics are equally as important. If you take them both at the same time, you are definitely getting the most benefit out of it.

Many people do not think you need to take both, but it really is important to take both of these supplements together.

You can take either supplement as a natural supplement or take it synthetically. As long as you are getting it in your system you are fine.

So get out now and try to get your hands on both of these supplements to help your health!

If GOD can find a people that can prophesy everything that has been spoken, IT WILL BE DONE. GOD is raising up a prophesying people that will bring change to this whole region.

The enemy does not like GOD's people to prophesy. He will stir up unbelief to reject the prophecies. He will come up against the prophetic voice. We have to keep moving forward. Do not get distracted. DO NOT STOP.

Timing is very important as you speak prophetically. You need to know GOD's perfect timing, speak it so that it will come to pass. Intercessory people will need to work with the prophetic people to bring the birth and change to the atmosphere.

GOD is looking for 3 generations to align themselves to HIM. When all 3 generations begin to speak the prophetic WORD of GOD in the earth realm, we will see HIS glory manifested.
GOD is calling forth intercessors and those with the prophetic gifts.

Make decrees into the atmosphere. Speak forth and say what GOD is saying to bring forth the transformation. Speak as a corporate group.

GOD is also asking – "Do you believe that I AM ABLE to bring change and transformation to this land? HE wants us to answer. What comes out of your mouth is what HE is going to work with. We can either agree with HIM or disagree with HIM. If we want to see change, we will have to prophesy. What has been started this year will ACCELERATE next year.

Someone must decree the prophetic declaration to determine the direction of the nation. Start to decree and you will see the changes taking place.

Timing is very important as you speak prophetically. You need to know GOD's perfect timing, speak it so that it will come to pass. Intercessory people will need to work with the prophetic people to bring the birth and change to the atmosphere.

The prophetic word provides spiritual oxygen for life and eternal destiny. Prophecy is the Holy Spirit’s breath of life being released back into you. When God breathed into Adam, He released life and prophetic purpose into him.

God desires to give us pictures, maps and directions as to how we are to live. He wants to lead us through every turn and season of life. We can discover His will for our lives, and this is often revealed by prophecy. Everything in the world tries to keep us from the original purposes of God for our lives. It dangles every kind of glittery enticement in front of us, and its ultimate goal is to lead us down paths of destruction.

But God, in His love and mercy, sends prophets and prophetic people with insight and direction. We must then make a decision whether we’ll follow and align our lives with a revealed, tested prophetic word.

The moment you choose to align your life with the prophetic purpose of God, you’ll discover that the Lord responds—and often quickly. He sends every resource you need to accomplish His prophetic purpose for your life. You’re not in this world by chance, nor has God left you without His guidance. Regardless of your past experiences, embrace the prophetic anointing that gives you an advantage to live a rich and full life.

The primary directive of prophetic ministry is to cause believers to build their lives on the foundation of Christ. Prophets help to lay this foundation into the very nature and life of believers by speaking divinely given words that are based upon God’s purpose and destiny of each life. We know that the Holy Spirit always testifies of Jesus, so the essence of prophetic ministry, then, is the revelation of the person, power and work of Jesus Christ.

Proverbs 29:18 says that,“Where there is no revelation, the people cast off restraint; but happy is he who keeps the law”(NKJV). Revelation is the revealed will of God for your life—the prophetic vision, in other terms. So where there is no prophetic vision, the people are unrestrained, which means they will be untrained in the ways of God, living life without the discipline of God.

We are called to be disciples of Christ. A disciple is a disciplined learner. The prophetic ministry equips you with the advantage of living under the discipline of God. When we don’t have this prophetic vision guiding our lives, we tend to live in a vacuum.

One translation of Proverbs 29:18 puts it this way:“Without prophetic vision people run wild”(GW). In other words, we live our lives with no control, direction, rhyme or reason. The prophetic word brings order and structure in life, while also reminding you of a higher vision. God wants your life to mean something, and the prophetic word causes you to live for something greater than yourself. It stirs you to look for eternal purpose and not instant gratification. It changes your value system. Once the revealed purpose of the Lord is known, it causes you to set your affections on things above, transcending this temporal world.

Prophets are among the greatest gifts the Lord has given the body of Christ, partly because of their God-given ability to build with words. Words spoken in the correct setting can bring forth life and healing to the human heart. Proverbs 25:11 says,“Like apples of gold in settings of silver is a word spoken in right circumstances”(NASB). It only takes one word fitly spoken to a hurting soul to introduce or reintroduce Jesus Christ into that life.

People are controlled with words. Dignity is restored with words. Love is communicated through words. And our worlds are framed and created by words. Many believe that prophets are called to uproot and tear down. Though that’s a vital part of the prophet’s ministry, the ability to build up and create is also a vital function of the prophetic office. One God-empowered word can bring light, structure and fulfillment into a life that is dark, void and without hope, purpose or form.

Genesis 1:3 marks God’s first recorded words as “Let there be light.” God wasn’t simply foretelling light; His words were literally creating light. A prophet’s first devotion should be to release light and, by doing so, expose darkness. It is time to bring restoration, not devastation.

It takes little effort to uproot and tear down, but it takes love, patience and wisdom to plant and build. Many immature prophets—especially those with strong deliverance backgrounds—are quick to identify the devil’s work in a person without any concern for the human soul. They can accurately identify problems yet fail to give solutions.

A mature prophet, on the other hand, offers what I call prophetic prescriptions. He or she doesn’t give blanket prophecies, but instead truly listens to the Holy Spirit regarding the condition of each human soul. True prophetic ministry imparts grace and truth that sets people free, showing them the way out of their sin or to higher levels of spiritual maturity.

If you are going to be excellent in ministering spiritual gifts, you must give serious attention to the development of those gifts. The Amplified Bible’s translation of this verse says we should “practice and cultivate and meditate upon these duties; throw yourself wholly into them [as your ministry], so that your progress may be evident to everybody.”

One of the most effective ways to cultivate the gift of prophecy is to study the biblical definitions on how the gift functions and what role it plays in building the church. It’s important to study the foundational principles of the prophetic found in the Bible so that we are grounded in truth. Paul wrote that we should not be ignorant of spiritual gifts (see 1 Cor. 12:1). I believe ignorance is the primary reason the church is not walking in the fullness of the Spirit.

Hosea 4:6 reveals that God’s people “are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary defines ignorance as “the condition of being uneducated, unaware, uninformed and inexperienced.” It is the lack of a workable knowledge, information or education. Ignorance destroys the proper placement of prophets and prophetic gifts in the body of Christ.

Developing the Gift

Paul admonishes Timothy in 1 Timothy 4:14-15 not to “neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all”(NKJV)

We must “covet to prophesy”(1 Cor. 14:39, KJV). Covet is a passionate, active word from the Greek word zēlōt&#2 75;, which means one burning with zeal—a zealot. To covet means to be eagerly desirous of or zealous to acquire something. It also means to defend or contend for it.

If you study how prophecy is addressed throughout the New Testament, you’ll find that every word relating to prophetic gifts and their operation in the church requires the believer to take initiative and responsibility in how this gift functions. The apostle Paul—who certainly had the most to say about prophecy’s role in the church—admonishes believers to desire, covet, stir up, seek and excel in prophecy for the edification of the body of Christ.

Christianity is mostly proactive. If we want to see the power of God released in our generation, we must learn to take the initiative and to excel. To excel is to be pre-eminent. Scripture says the prophet Daniel was 10 times better than the magicians of Babylon (Dan. 1:20). There must be a level of excellence in prophetic ministry.

Many times Christians trust the sovereignty of God in a non-biblical manner. They believe that if the Lord wants to give them a prophetic word, He’ll simply deliver a word as if it fell from the sky. Though God obviously is able to give anyone a prophetic word, this “accidental” prophecy perspective isn’t the full pattern of Scripture. Pre-eminent prophets are those who have learned to co-labor with Him.

Yet if the church is to mature into the fullness God desires, it must utilize and properly position prophets and prophecy. To eliminate prophets from the building process of the church is to take away the key of knowledge, which is one of the most vital tools in building strong New Testament churches. It isn’t possible to lead a Spirit-empowered church or a ministry without direct leadership of the Holy Spirit in the daily flow of the church. Prophets are essential to the maturing of the church because they have been gifted with an ability to hear relevant wisdom and insight from God.

No matter how we feel about prophets, however, one thing is certain: They are God’s idea—yes, even when they mess up, cause havoc or make life difficult for a church’s senior leaders. God designed the church to need this crucial office.

He also knew the church’s desire to completely wipe its hands of prophets and prophecy. For this reason, He commanded us in 1 Thessalonians 5:19-20:“Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies.” Notice that God links the Holy Spirit’s ability to move freely among believers—and not be suppressed or snuffed out—with the prophetic. The word despise comes from the Greek word exoutheneo, meaning “to make of no account, to regard as nothing, to despise utterly, to treat with contempt.” Verse 21 goes on to say:“Test all things; hold fast what is good.”This is a needful caution when dealing with the prophetic.

Indeed, God knew from the beginning that using inherently broken people to serve as His mouthpiece would result in more than a few broken transmissions—and yet this was His perfect plan. Today that plan continues as He brings reformation to the prophetic office and realm. The word reformation, defined as “to straighten out thoroughly,” comes from the Greek word diorthosis. In a physical sense, it refers to making straight, restoring to its natural and normal condition something that in some way protrudes or has become out of line, such as a broken or misshapen limb. To some, the prophetic has certainly become like a broken limb to the body.

By the same token, we must understand the weightiness of what it means to be a prophet. Can you imagine the responsibility to speak for God—to hear, see and interpret the heart and mind of God for your generation? Can you fathom having the courage to then speak this out loud in a culture in which one mistake can seemingly disqualify you for life, regardless of your track record?

I am an advocate of prophets. I’m not blind to the mistakes they’ve made in the past, and I’m aware of their challenges today. But the church should extend the same mercy and grace it gives to a pastor who preaches a lousy sermon to a prophet who “misses it.” The church is not a material building but a spiritual house built of living stones—we who are to be built as the habitation of God by the Spirit. Today, even through all the scars and wounds caused by prophetic misfires, Christ is still building His church by the power of His Spirit through prophets and prophetic ministry.

Even if we’ve been burned by misguided prophetic words, we can’t afford to dismiss prophecy or the office of a prophet. Here’s why.

Mention the word prophet to some people and their palms get sweaty, a lump develops in their throat and they begin eyeing the door. For many, it’s not because they don’t believe in prophecy; it’s because they’re fed up with being burned by overzealous prophets and unbalanced prophecies, and they’re ready to throw in the towel.

No matter how we feel about prophets, however, one thing is certain: They are God’s idea—yes, even when they mess up, cause havoc or make life difficult for a church’s senior leaders. God designed the church to need this crucial office.

The five-fold ministry is about to rise with healing in her wings! And I wanted in! The wings of covering, the wings of gentleness, the wings of beauty, the wings of gathering, the wings of healing, the wings of restoration, and the wings of remembrance. It was then I heard a Scripture that resonates in me still; I can't shake it:

"If the spirit of the ruler rise up against thee, leave not thy place; for yielding pacifieth great offences" (Ecclesiastes 10:4).

In each ministry of the five-fold there is about to become present a new "Anointing":

Apostolic = sending
Prophetic = directing
Evangelistic = capturing
Pastor = loving
Teaching = keeping

A Word From God Can Change Everything!

A word from God can change everything in an instant for you, and for the Body of Christ.

"Sing to God, sing praises to His name; extol Him who rides on the clouds, by His name YAH, and rejoice before Him..." (Psalm 68:4). "Sing to God, you kingdoms of the earth; Oh, sing praises to the Lord, Selah, to Him who rides on the Heaven of heavens, which were of old! Indeed, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice. Ascribe strength to God; His excellence is over Israel, and His strength is in the clouds" (Psalm 68:32-34).

Paternal Inheritance: When revelation of Abba Father truly comes and your heart cries out to Him from the very depths of your being; of your inner man, His mighty voice breaks through the clouds in power and strength for you to claim, recover, possess, and delight in your inheritance!

Psalm 68:5 reveals God in His holy habitation as a "father of the fatherless, a defender of widows." It is this establishment in our hearts of who we are as His sons and daughters, this new place of greater revelation, that our spirits are stirred for the breakthrough and building up of the Body. When the Lord stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel, the spirit of Joshua, and the spirits of the remnant of the people, they "came and worked on the house of the LORD of hosts, their God" (See Haggai 1:14). Their hearts were stirred to finish the temple. They had renewed courage in the Lord, renewed faith in God who controls the future. Do you have revelation of Abba God, the Defender of the widow, the Father of the fatherless? Revelation of the Father in His holy habitation, in your heart and life, will stir your spirit for breakthrough, restoration, and a race to the finish.

The Grace of His Presence

Understand this: your Father who made the heavens, who established the earth, does what He says He will do! Rejoice in the Lord! When you are established in this truth, you will walk in such vastness that you will always be rejoicing as you fully walk as an heir of Abba Father. This is the Father who will never leave you, who will show you great favor, who will provide everything you need, and who will come and visit you. Most assuredly, you will have His presence.

From the realm of revelation of the grace of Abba Father in your life will also be the revealing of the "deep things of God," to give to your children (see Deuteronomy 29:29). The deep things that He chooses to give to you will open the eyes of your heart to see His vastness, and your children and their children will know how big He really is. And you will rejoice. And they will rejoice in all that He does and will do. He is not a far-away God—He is a far out God—big, capable, able, and willing to put it all in your lap!

Set in and Seated with Him

Jesus Himself called on God as, "Abba Father," as He faced the Cross. He said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for You" (Mark 14:36). Whatever cross or burden you are bearing, calling out to Abba Father is calling out for the impossible to become possible. Your Father God has unlimited resources. You have access to a Father who knows the beginning from the end and the end from the beginning, so the trust factor is limitless. You can trust Him without end. He will never fail you. In fact, He is your summit! He is the full cycle of your entire life. He has everything worked out. When your flesh is silent, revelation grows such that you will be so seated with Him that you will be in a state of rejoicing.

But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God" (1 Corinthians 2:9-10). The Revealer searches all things in God's never-ending constantly full heavenly treasure chest, and pulls out riches from it to give to you. What an incredible blessing! The Revealer gives that which God has prepared, made and kept ready: profound and bottomless things, to those who love Him affectionately. He adorns us with His gifts.
The Holy Spirit expands the inner man not through head knowledge but through the revelatory realm of revelation of illumination in the inner man to a deeper, and yet deeper depth of His greatness. That you, being so rooted in Him as Father God, are set in for your coming moment, for your coming day in Christ for your destiny, which is His will for your life. This destiny is one that cannot be moved because you "see" how vast He really is. Nothing is impossible for Him. This deeper revelation roots us into a faith that brings forth works that really believe nothing is impossible for Him. Jesus said, "…nevertheless, not what I will, but what You will" (Mark 14:36). What He wills is the Father heart of God.
Pointing to His Presence
Are you willing to say, "Father, I believe You... I believe You?" when He says that it is possible to believe for a city in a day? For your family to be saved? For the funds that you need today? For the healing that you need today?
God sets the solitary in families. He brings out those who are bound into prosperity. He moves mountains. He drops plentiful rain from Heaven. He confirms our inheritance when it is weary and we dwell in it (see Psalm 68:6-11). Mountains move at His presence. Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God!
Everything—every treasure, the riches, the gifts, every increase is to bring attention to His precious presence. It will become a day of, "Behold now the Lord your God." They will see the gifts, see the treasures as you point and say, "Ah, Lord God! Behold, You have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is nothing too hard for You" (Jeremiah 32:17).

The priestly crowns, the blessings are for speaking His Word and ministering in service to the Lord. He crowns us as examples of His leadership as we spread the knowledge of Father God across the earth. God does not want us to spread anything but the knowledge of Him. Can you imagine a company of Believers gathered in a kairos moment for one sole, purpose? To spread the knowledge of God. That is, to spread the fame of His name, to make famous one name and one name only—the name of Jesus! Increase is coming in the vastness and greatness of God and His grace—the deep treasures are coming forth.

Crowned with the priestly blessing, as the royal priesthood, we are first ministers unto God. We are a chosen generation, a holy nation, His own special people, "that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1 Peter 2:9). We must come out of the old mind-set and into the mind of Christ where the blazing glory of His glorious presence literally rests upon us and the place as we minister first unto God, and then receive His strategies to touch and impact. Ascending and descending sends. Ascending to the Father and descending sends.

We come into that place of impact as His ministers saying, "Oh Father, Your Word says..." That is—the apostolic commissioning. The glory moves with us. The blazing glory was in Ezekiel's wheel, right where the beginning touched the end and the end touched the beginning. This is where we will be in the presence of God, where the beginning touches the end and the end touches the beginning so that we are not moved by anything in the natural because we know what He started and what He will finish! The Author of our salvation will finish what He started.
At one of our recent meetings in Houston, as we prayed for the sick at the service end, the Lord started to heal people and it was glorious to see Him move. There is always much excitement when God moves, and guess what? It excites Him too that we move with Him as He moves. As we follow His move—as we follow Him He opens the way, and we go!
Transition! Go through... Go through the Gates...
In the Book of Micah, the king goes through the gate. As God breaks through the gate, we transition and follow Him. As we transition, we lay course for the troops to come. A breaker is someone who moves with God as God breaks through. God goes through the gates and we go through too, preparing the way for the troops, for the people, building up the highway, taking out the stones, and lifting up a banner for the people (see Isaiah 62:10). Restoration is here, victory is here. God calls upon the faithful priests to join Him, to march forth to prepare the way. It is not Jerusalem's gate that we are opening. It is the Church's gate that once open will stand open day and night for all to pass through (see Isaiah 26:1-2; 60:11).
Consider this: when God went out before His people, when He marched through the wilderness, the earth shook. Great was the company of those who proclaimed His Word. Kings of armies fled. God provided from His goodness for the poor.
We are about to see a company rise up called "the Body of Christ" and wherever Father God sends His sons and daughters, we will not hope something will happen, we know it will, for He has already gone before us, opened the gate, and we are going right through it! Defeat will not be an option. It is not an option!

"Honoring Prophets and Embracing the Prophetic"
A Prophetic People

Jesus highly regarded "the prophets". More than that, He told us that he who is least in the Kingdom of God is greater than John the Baptist, an OT prophet. This means that anyone that believes in Jesus Christ has the capacity to live in a much higher place than any OT prophet just by virtue of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. By this statement Jesus places us in the category of being prophetic at the very least. Greater than that, we are sons of God.

Prophets are those who live in a place that is very close to His heart. You may live close to God, be prophetic and not be a prophet, but you cannot really be a prophet and not live close to God. God knows who His prophets are. Jesus closely associated Himself with the prophets, He himself being "The Prophet" that Moses prophesied would come (Deuteronomy 18:15).

God Picked You to be Prophetic

Numbers 11:29 Then Moses said to him, "Are you zealous for my sake? Oh, that all the Lord's people were prophets and that the Lord would put His Spirit upon them!"

So why all the talk about prophets? Because God calls every one of us to a prophetic life. By honoring those who walk in the prophetic we receive the blessing of that gift and life.
Matthew 10:41 He who receives a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward. And he who receives a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward.

In this verse it is interesting how Jesus brings together the reward of a prophet with the reward of a righteous man. These really go together. Do prophets have to be perfect to be honored? No. We all need to lean on the righteousness of God, that is His grace and what Jesus laid His life down to bring us. We also must realize that this righteousness of God should be working in us a change to reflect the image of God. For those familiar with the "prophetic movement", there has been valid reason to be disappointed at times. At the same time, we must realize that prophets are people that are in process. This is the Body of Christ.
