Pizza K of Lawrenceville has a trio of young men delivering door to door flyers after our apartment complex's operating hours and it clearly violates the "No Trespassing, No Soliciting" sign posted at the entrance. Despite several calls from the main office of our apartments to Pizza K of Lawrenceville, it continues. This, while not soliciting, is definitely trespassing, and I find it personally aggravating as heck.
Despite numerous calls to Lawrenceville Pizza K, they continue to send the flyers door to door, after hours, and won't stop.
Lawrenceville and Gwinnett County Police say individuals living in the apartments can't do anything, it has to be the apartment management.
Has anybody else had problems with fast food restaraunts trespassing and violating the law just to advertise?

Oh lighten up. They're just trying to make a living like everyone else. Breathe in, breathe out and then quietly walk to the garbage can and throw the flyer away for pete's sake.

I'm guaranteed a reasonable expectation of privacy as a citizen of the United States. In our old community, leaving advertisements on door handles was a form of door to door solicitation, and heavily controlled through permits and address lists of residentrs that had placed their homes on a do not solicit list. Violate that list, pay heavy fines and get escorted out of town. By the police. Where it differs here, is that door flyers are considered advertising, the police won't get involved, and my right to privacy has been violated. But trespassing is still trespassing..there are other reasonable outlets for advertising that are legal and don't involve breaking the law. Whenever someone comes onto private property without authorization, i.e. door flyers, that's the very definition of trespass. My adjustment? Getting used to having strange people come to my door and shove things under the door? No... never gonna happen. The businesses, Pizza K, and the various Chinese diners, can use the postal service.

And btw..Georgia is a beautiful state and I expected to find a rich southern culture and research my family's genealogy. Our family traces its roots back to the Revolutionary War with James Howard, who was originally from Wilkes County Georgia and worked the Cumberland Gap into Kentucky with Daniel Boone.
Beautiful state...
but man, that privacy issue sucks.
